Personal Quarters

Her living Quarters weren't very far from her office, not many people would know it though as it was hidden to people who didn't know where it was to begin with. She had also spelled her quarters to alert her when someone was out side her office, which she could get to through a passage in her bedroom.

She had not spent much time in her quarters since the school year started, she had spent any time in them actually, she thought it was a good a time as any to check them out.

Kiara tapped her wand on the corner wall outside her office. The wall opened up to a small room that had nothing but a portrait of the famous Merlin.

"Good afternoon Merlin" she said.

"Hello my Dear, glad you decided to visit today. Could you tell me the password?" the portrait greeted.

Kiara smiled as said "On the night of the Full Moon"

"Correct" said Merlin as he sung opened.

Stepping inside and looking around she laughed and shook her head.

"Something tells me my predecessor was a major Gryffindor fanatic"

The room was splattered with bright reds and golds, reminded her of a muggle circus tent.

"Now I love Gryffindor as much a the next guy, but this just hurts the eyes" she said as she took out her wand.

She turned the carpet, which was a bright orange to a dark blue and made the walls egg shell white. The couch was a bright red, she turned it into a much darker shade of red which much easier in the eyes.

It took her a good 15 minutes to make the room more to her liking, "there that's better. Jeez who ever this guy was he must have been color blind".

Kiara sat in her living room drinking a cup of tea. The day had been quite eventfull and the tea calmed her nerves.

Suddenly Saturn flashed in front of her holding a envelope that had the Ministry of magic seal on it.

"Thank you Saturn" she said as she took the letter from the Pheonix and opened it.

"Dear Headmistress Kiara Riddle

Thank you for alerting us to the extreme problem at Durmstrang, immedaite action has been taken. It has been confirmed that a Professor at Drumstrang has indeed been telling students about Horcruxes. However we arrived a little to late, the Professor killed one of his students. I am not at libery to tell you who was killed at the moment. The family of the victim will be informed first. The man teaching the students has been arrested and charged with murder. Pending a hearing the man is likely to face a life time in Azkaban or if the vote is unanimous a Dementor Kiss.

I commend your quick action Headmistress, if you hadn't it is possible more would have died.

Kiara dropped the letter after reading it. They had been to late.

Kiara got virtually no sleep that night.

Kiara sighed with relief when She finally came to her quarters.

"Hogwarts you never seemed so big until today"

She said as she walked up to Merlins Portrait .

"Good evening Merlin"

"Goodevening my dear, are you well?"

"Could be better..."

"Well give the password and you can go to bed" ((I wish, dang school))

"On The light of the full Moon"

"Goodnight dear"

'Good Night Merlin"

Kiara had only been asleep for 5 minutes when a nightmare asulted her, a nightmare she hadn't had in year.

Sectumsempra.......

"No..."

She could see flashes of people she knew aflicted by the curse the last image was Eglantine.

Sectumsempra.....

"Noo!" yelled Kiara as she bolted awake.

"Eglantine!!"

Jumping out of bed she transfigured her night cloths into robes and ran out of her quarters.

(( now to Eglantine's Quarters))

Try as she might kiara could not fall asleep, over tieredness she expected. Her mind was on over load and refused to allow her to sleep. She wasn't comfortable taking sleeping potions unless her was in dire need of one, which at the moment she wasn't. Her mind was just on over drive.

"Saturn.... I miss you, your song always managed to quiet my mind even... even then.."

Kiara had first became linked with saturn when she was 14 years old and of course once a magica animal and witch or wizard are linked they go everywhere with you. Saturn always returned home from hogwarts with her after they were joined. Her mother hadn't been exactly happy about it though. Her mother wasn't exactly much of a mother to her, once her father left her mother blamed her for it and her weird abilies. So instead of putting up with only daughter of a summer her mother shipped her off to a special muggle summer boreding school. That was how she graduated high school, when most other muggle borns skipped right over it.

Sighing she got up and rubbed her neck everything was so sore from her encounter with Voldemort. Hoping a hot drinks would help her sooth her nerves she got a hot coco. Sipping her drink an old photo caught her eye.

"Ah it's been a while" she said as she picked it up.

It was when she was 16 she set up a camera to take picture of herself Saturn and her cat, Molly. it was a funny picture actually, Molly was only a kitten when it was taken, but she wasn't at all impressed with Saturn and was growling and swating at the Pheonix as she sat on her shoulder. Unfortunately she left her at her mothers house for a day so she could go to diagon ally, without having the fiesty cat swat at every owl they came across. But her mother had been careless and left the Kitten in the garage. When she came to pick Molly up that evening she found her very sick under her mothers car.... Molly died the next day form the anti freeze she must have drank while in the garage. Needless to say that did nothing but make her already tense relation ship with her mother even worse..She hadn't seen her mother since she graduated hogwarts and her mother kicked her out for choosing to remain in the magical world.

She supposed that was why she felt happy when Eglantine healed her wounds like she did. She had always imagined what it would have been like to have a mother like that.

Kiara fell asleep at her desk holding on to the old photo.

Waking up Kiara sat up at her desk and streched and groned.

Her hold body was sore now from sleeping at her desk. glancing at her clock she gasped, she a defence class to teach in 5 minutes.

"Dang it"

Getting up she quickly got changed , brushed her hire and teeth and ran out of the room.

(To the defence classroom)

Kiara lay in her bed, it was close to full moon and her lungs were agitated with every breath.

Caughing she pulled her self out of bed and grabed the potion that helped her breath during these attacks.

Her face was pale, and tried becaused of the pain, lack of sleep and the difference in oxygen her lungs took in.

"Today is going to be a long day, I just know it"

She said to her self in her mirror.

Kiara flashed into the middle of her quarters caughing uncontrolably.

Wandlessly she summond one of her potions from her cabnet and put it on a cloth. Placing it over her mouth for a minute.

Finally her lungs calmed down, though they still hurt terribly.

"That was close" she said feeling very winded.

Slowly she got up and went to look for the others.

Laying in bed Kiara couldn't believe everything that happened, Voldemort now had a clean slate, free of the dark memories that made him the dark lord.

"Well he certainly isn't a dark lord any more"

With that Kiara fell asleep.

((Set after meeting Dracovan))
Walking back into her quarters Kiara sighed she was exsahusted, it had been a busy day. But there still one thing bugging her, she could bave sworn Dracovan Vipers sentence in Azkaban was 15 years. For a short while she had been incharge of the his case, but she had refused to prusicute him so she was taken off the case and replaced with someone more agreeable with the ministry's wishes.

Curious to see why he was out of Azkaban 10 years early, Kiara dug out her old case files from a folder in her bed room. Pulling it out she scaned over it, yep 15 years.

"Strange...... I wonder if this has anything to do with the reason he wanted to speak to Viper. I will ask about it tomorrow"

((After Eglantines Quarters))

Kiara trudged back into her quarters feeling more tired then ever. Rubbing her injured aching shoulder she gowned.

"Stupid troll"

Shivering and starting a fire Kiara summoned a blanket to her. She had to think of something to solve the Mer-people problem, With having to use wandless magic almost consistently it was leaving her weak, and the ward she set up around the lake wouldn't last forever. She was running short on options and time.

"What do I do?"

Kiara looked from her desk something wasn't right, she had a bad feeling.

Getting up she headed out of her quarters following where ever her feeling took her

((she will get to Eglantines quarter just after she kills Dracovan))

Kiara lay in her bed shaking, tossing and turning. It was a side effect of her diving in to cold water, a fever.

The water gave her a chill for a while and if she was lucky it would go away and she would have been fine, but she wasn't lucky and she ws now sufferening from a high fever that couldn't be cured with potions. she had to let it run its course.

When morning finally came she pulled herself out of bed truged to her office having essays to grade and papers for triwizard tournament to sign

"It is never easy....hiccup" she said.

Kiara sighed as she watched the night sky from her bedroom window, she found it relaxing watching the stars.

Then her head perked up at the figure moving toward the forest, it was Eglantine.

"hmmm" she thought silently to her self as she closed her eyes activating the ID ward she recently set up. They were made to be unavoidable, even for a skilled witch as Eglantine

She also detected Horatio at the edge of the forest.

"Ahh planing to destroy it now then I see... Don't do anything rash Eglantine..."

Kiara sollumly walked up to the protrait of Merlin.

"Are you alright my dear?" Merlin asked.

"Could be better Merlin, but thank you for asking" Kiara said quietly

"I am sorry to hear that child.... what is the password? so you can rest"

Sighing Kiara said the password "On the night of the Full Moon"

Merlin nodded his head and oppened up.

Kiara turned to the others "Come on in"

Eglantine entered the rooms, ignoring the tastefully decorated interior and focusing on her friend.
"Will you let me treat your injuries, le do thoil?" she entreated. Unknown to her, she slipping momentarily into Gaelic, saying "please" in her first language.

Fingering the buirse on her neck which had started to change colour she nodded, as for the after effects of the Curcio's she could get so potion for that later.

"Very well..." she said quietly.

Sevastyan approached the door and solemnly entered, nodding to the image that guarded Kiara's quarters in a similar manner. His hands were stiffly held behind him, his right hand gripping his left wrist and shoulders squared in determination to face admitting what he'd done just in case Professor DeLanquar asked once they were inside.

He didn't really focus on anything in particular other than the interactions between Eglantine and Kiara. Sevastyan watched and waited, not sure what good he could possibly do but feeling responsible enough to be present regardless.

Eglantine carefully healed the damaged skin with a wandless charm, careful to keep her promise about her wand. It would not do to brandish the possible weapon. Happy to see the younger woman's neck a normal skin tone and unblemished, she smiled softly.
"Tha mi duilich." she muttered, a tear coursing down her cheek. "I should have watched him closer..."

Kiara swallowed hard, but she carefuly wipped the tear off Eglantine face.

"Now don't start.... please.... It is not your fault, you couldn't have known... Please Eglantine don't blame your self for what he did. Please for me?"

Eglantine swallowed with some difficultly. "Ciamar a tha sibh? Did he get away?" She noticed she had spoken in Gaelic this time and repeated the first statement. "How are you now?"

Sevastyan watched the conversation intently through the fog of exhaustion, concentrating on maintaining the pressure plied to his wrist. Understandably, he became a little paranoid with all of this 'he' business: had DeLanquar been watching him - or Daniel? Though, by the time Kiara spoke Sevastyan relaxed slightly. She hadn't yet told that he had killed Daniel, so 'what he did' couldn't have meant him... could it?

"In a manner of speaking..." Sevastyan interjected in regards to Professor DeLanquar's first of two questions, his eyes light gray but somehow darkened.

A small tremer went through her body as if to mock her, and she bit her lip silently cursing the curciatus, she hated that curse.

Once the tremer passed Kiara repeated her earier statment "I will be fine"

Then at her other question her eyes flicted to Sevastyan

"In a manner of speaking.." she heard him say.

"Yeah he got way alright" she though. Oviously Sevastyan was nervous over Eglantines reaction to Danials fate, and so was she.

Eglantine turned to look at Sevastyan. "Является ли он мертв?" she asked softly, knowing Kiara did not understand Russian and thus he would be able to answer her without upsetting the Headmistress.

Sevastyan's eyes widened momentarily before temporarily turning away. Had it been that obvious by his tone of voice? He closed his eyes briefly to steel himself for the Professor's reaction, then replied with an odd mixture of emotions so well blended it was difficult to separate them, "Правильно."

The only thing he could do now was await her reaction.
