She breathed a sigh of relief. "И ты убил его?" She asked, obviously concerned. Knowing that is was a rather delicate situation she continued. "Xороший."

Kiara looked back and forth the as the 2 spoke their own private converstion, she knew Eglantine was doing it to protect her feeling whatever she was asking. Didn't she realise she was only upset because of the pain and touble she put them through? She was relived Daniel was dead, and if she could have she would have killed him herself, to save Sevastyan the burden he know carried because of it.

"Mind letting me know on what your talking about?"she asked.

A line of concern and relief creased his forehead at the sigh. Was that a good thing, or a bad thing? Had he not made the mental fortifications, he probably would have completely freaked out at being asked this question. However, he answered in a hollow voice, "Я сделал… оно был или им, или нами."

Sevastyan was grateful that Professor DeLanquar didn't completely go ballistic on him yet. She knew what it was like to protect those she cared about: she had told him all about the ordeal with Dracovan and Edwin. Hopefully she would find this situation similar, only Sevastyan was well aware of the fact that he had not rescued a child, but a fully-capable witch caught by surprise. "Я был бы охотно готов доказать это через pensieve если необходимо…"


At Kiara's comment, Sevastyan revealed an apologetic countenance. "Apologies, Headmistress. It is about Lestrange's fate that ve vere discussing..." he trailed off, pretty sure he didn't have to get into any further detail. "I have even offered Professor DeLanquar to view my memories via pensieve, if reqvired."



((I intended "Я сделал… оно был или им, или нами." = I did... it was either him, or us. ... It didn't translate like that when I did the reverse, though))

Kiara blinked why hide that from her "Oh... Are you sure?"

She seemed to direct the question at both of them, one she worried acout Sevastyan, watching himself kill some onother so soon after it happened. She worried for Eglantine as well, since Kiara had been shot by she being hit by the curciatus and her being possesed by Saturn basically saying he could kill him.

Eglantine shook her head. "That will not be necessary. I believe he died and that his death was justified." Sighing she patted Kiara's cheek.
"He harmed you and no doubt had worse plans had Professor Kaminski not intervened. D'anam don diabhal, Daniel Lestrange!" She finished with a rather potent Gaelic curse which she muttered more than spoke.

"What has been done with the body?" Eglantine hated the idea of it being discovered that someone had attempted to harm the Headmistress of Hogwarts and had been killed for it. Hogwart's respect was already on a downward slope. Not to mention that fact that both Sevastyan and Kiara could get into serious trouble with the Ministry if the cause of death was revealed. Due to Sevastyan's former dealings with the Dark Arts and Kiara's already fragile relationship with the Ministry, no doubt the following investigation would be biased.

And if there was an investigation, Professor Viper would be incorporated along with herself. Eventually they would discover that Edwin was indeed the childized version of Tom Riddle with a genetic alteration and it could only get worse from there...
She closed her eyes, feeling slightly overwhelmed. If only she had incinerated the apple when she had had the chance...

Kiara sighed as it had not been murder, it was self defense she could handle what ever the ministry throw at her. The ministry wouldn't touch Sevastyan, as he was a member of Hogwarts staff and the "Deed" had been done on the School grounds. Kiara could step in front of him sorta speak and keep the ministry's eye on her. As for his family, they probably wanted the house and the vault that had been left with her at the divorce, they could have them as far as she was concerned.

"I sent his body to the Lestrange cemetery, it was the quickest way I could think of to get rid of it."

Thinking they may be concerned over the ministry interfering she also added. "Don't worry about the ministry, I can handle them on this matter, they will not come after Hogwarts, or any of its staff"

She sent a glance at Sevastyan " not to worry"

There was a gleam in her eyes as if she was daring the ministry to even try any against her school and staff. She had lot of favors to call in at the ministry and be damned she was going to use them if she had to.

"I have seen death vith my own eyes on more times than this vone: I can endure," Sevastyan replied solemnly with a nod at Kiara's uncertainty. Whatever emotion may have been in the gray irises drained so that Kiara would not see what lurked beneath the surface: memories of those he'd seen die and actually killed, all in the name and sake of greater power.

A grateful half-bow followed the Muggle Studies Professor's reply that a trip through the pensieve wouldn't be required. He tried not to focus on what could have potentially happened if he hadn't been there. It was better for the world over that Daniel had left the realm of the living instead of Kiara. Didn't make it any easier to live with that killing was the only way to end the confrontation, but it would be worth it to know that the Headmistress was permanently relieved of at least one burden... perhaps it would even be easier, after a few days, for Sevastyan to come to grips with this. After all, he'd killed out of protection... not bloodlust. There was a distinct difference.

'Grand delusion. Let's hear another one. You might be fooling some but I know your blood was boiling. You wanted it, needed it... craved to see the light leave the man's eyes! You'll never be rid of that darkness within you - it's your mistress, in a way... and she misses your embrace,' Sevastyan closed his eyes; the voice that sounded like his brother's at the back of his mind was really getting annoying. It was a manifestation of his self-doubt, and it was a powerful foe he would need to overcome sooner or later; preferably when he was not amidst company.

For the Headmistress's sake, Sevastyan would not allow this event to seem to bother him while in her presence. It wasn't her fault, and need not blame herself. Sevastyan would aim to kill anyone that so dared to lay a malevolent wand on her - or anyone he cared about - again. He had to admit that much to himself: he would shield if he could, and kill if he must.

Just don't get too trigger-happy, now....'[i] Sevastyan sighed inwardly at Self-Doubt's barrages, but blinked as he realized the conversation in the realm of reality had continued while he'd been lost in his own head. What was this? The new location of the body .... and the Ministry? At the back of his mind, Sevastyan hoped Kiara managed to notice the amputated part of Daniel's arm and sent that along with the rest of the cadaver. It would look odd to have a disembodied, bloody partial arm lying in the hall... especially since apparition was not possible once on Hogwarts grounds.

"I can deal vith any legal demons - let them come if they vish, it vos clearly self-defense! My father may not consider me as his favorite son, but he vould villingly vork for our cause," Sevastyan muttered darkly, the newfound conviction in his actions sounding strange to his ears. It was like he was only faintly able to hear himself, as if he was some distance away. Was it the tiredness that created this illusion, or had the forces of light and a sliver of something like the darkness of the past within Sevastyan blended for the first time in several years?

It was likely a kind of insanity that made him mention his father, Sevastyan supposed with a repressed laugh: the two hadn't really gotten along very well since Sevastyan and Grigoriy became the most bitter of enemies.

Kiara lifted her head at Sevastyan's offer.

"I wouldn't want you go through anything awkward with your father Sevastyan, I Thank you for the offer, but only if you feel comfortable with it."

That and she was planing on fighting the ministry, she could not protect Sevastyan or the rest of the school from the scorn of the ministry if she let someone else do it for her.

Eglantine nodded at the mention of his being buried in his family cemetery. But she remained silent as they discussed legal issues.
It could not be denied that a man had been killed. Self-defense or not, it could turn into quite a legal battle.

Lachesis had attempted to divorce her husband because he had been unfaithful and had been harming her physically. When he had refused to divorce her, she had more or less engaged him in a duel and killed him... of course, she had gotten away very neatly with it, due to the duel and the fact that her mother-in-law had assisted her in the court proceedings. Any man so hated that his own mother would assist his killer, had to die and the court had agreed.

Still Eglantine worried that the cases were slightly different...

"I vill at least ask, though he might not vant to get involved. I'm sure if I vere my brother he'd do so at the drop of a hat. I'm not exactly the favorite of the three, but nor am I the... vot is the phrase? ... the black sheep?" Sevastyan replied, not looking forward to the impending conversation. But the more people behind them, the better, right? It would almost be worth talking to the old man if he could help at all.

Kiara nodded "Very well, ask him we will see what happens, the court case will not be made public, not yet any as per my request. If your father is willing we will welcome the help."

In the back of her mind she thought of the chance of Sevastyan getting in to trouble for it. No she wouldn't let that happen.

Eglantine sighed. "Kiara." she stated softly. "Instead of planning a defense, you should rest." With a flick of her wand she turned down the bed covers and strengthened the fire. Mainly because the room felt extremely cold to her, despite the normal temperature. In fact, she was shaking slightly from head to toe, pale and frozen stiff. After she saw that Kiara was comfortable and in bed, she would have to warm herself, but it could wait.

Kiara dispite being put to bed by Eglantine, got up, her nerves still felt as though pins were stabing her and it was getting harder to keep the pain showing on her face.

Only sign that could interpeted that she was in pain was that her hand were clenched tightly.

Sitting up from the bed she looked at Eglantine, she looked cold, and Kiara was very senitive to cold and it felt fine to her.

"Are you alright Eglantine?"

Seeing that Professor DeLanquar was attempting to coerce Kiara into resting, Sevastyan took this as being his cue to leave. "I believe I vill take my leave now," he suggested, hoping that Kiara would indeed take Eglantine's advice to rest once he was no longer in the room.

"If my assistance is reqvired, I vill be in my qvarters. A good evening to you, professors," Sevastyan offered and made to leave, which would allow the two witches some privacy.

"Yes, Kiara. It is just a bit chilly. Now do not attempt to change the subject. Please lie down." Turning she nodded to Professor Kaminski.

"Good evening, and thank you for all of your assistance." she had already decided that at a later date, she would thank him more fully.

Kiara did lay down this time only because a mussle in her back went into a spassam as bad one.

She clenched her mouth shut and bit her tonge. Quickly she put her hand under the covers and grabbed on the sheets. Then hoping Eglantine hadn't seen anything she some how pushed the pained look of her face.

"If you are chilly try your birth day present out" she whispered fearing is she spoke normally Eglantine would hear the quiver in her voice.

Eglantine watched Kiara, concerned.

"Would you like me to stay or will you be all right?"

Kiara took a breath and a said with hopefully for confidence then she felt "I will be fine Eglantine, you can go, warm your self up, I will see you later"

Eglantine nodded. "Very well." Turning the wheelchair, she made her way to the door. "But do not hesitate to call if you need me."

Kiara swallowed and nodded her head. "Oh course Eglantine"

As soon as Eglantine left Kiara moned and sprang got of bed. She made her way to the secert opening that connected to her office and walked though.

Kiara sat at her desk in her bed room as she wrote notes in her case file.

Her eyes were so heavy, she hadn't slept a wink the night before as she had been in the astronomy tower, thinking.

"awh, come on you can't go to sleep yet, to much to do..." she said as she shook her head.

However her vision began to blurr and she was seeing double. Putting her elbow in her desk she put her head in her hand.

Not 10 seconds later she fell asleep amd began to dream.

Kiara stood in the middle of the rose garden only all the roses were dead.

"W..what happened?' she breathed.

"You burned them"

Turning around Kiara saw Eglantine, and she looked dead... just hallow and pale.

"Eglantine what happened to you?" she said as she ran over to her friend.

"Like you don't know... I died for you" Eglantine replied.

Kiara paled, "W..what?"

Eglantine nodded "Yes, and what a waste it was it seems"

Kiara was speechless "I...."

"You such a pathetic little thing, defenseless... how did you ever become an auror?"

Kiara blinked back tears "Eglantine? but.. but I"

"Oh save your breath about the only thing you can save, oh you can't even do that can you? everyone always has to save you. Can't you take care of your self?" said Eglantine as if she was talking about the weather.

Kiara stumbled back from Eglantine in shock.

She backed into someone, it was Sevastyan, he also appeared dead and also looked to be the victim of the sectemsmpra curse . ((Hopefully I can get the accent right ^_^ if not Sub could you translate?))

"She is right, can not fight for your self? I can't believe vot I did for you"

Kiara's mouth dropped and more tears ran down her face.

"I.....I was sorry... I didn't mean... I tried...I" Kiara tried to say, but all she couldn't.

Then she saw Viper walk on the scene, she however looked alive

"Aww look she is crying like a helpless child.. Are they being mean to you wittle Kiara? aww.. What are you going to do about it scream?"

The others laughed at what Viper said.

"No no this can't be, not isn't real.... this can't be real" Kiara chanted.

"Oh but this is real, dear Kiara, it is your fate, to be defenseless and always be saved by those you care about you. You will be there undoing"

"No! I will not let it happen No!! I will die before I let them do that! I swear it. No one will be put into danger because of me again!!!" Kiara yelled and the scene erupted in to blue fire.

Kiara's eyes flew opened and jerked up, losing her balance as she fell over hitting her head on the corner of the desk.

"Ow!"

She held her hand to her head and she sat up on the floor.

Tears were still running down her face and mixing with the blood now dripping down from her forehead.

"Oww no never again, I swear it, i will fight for my self so no one else has to. They will not be hurt or die because of me....ever"

Unknown to her a red glow surrnded her for a second and then faded away.

Kiara entered her quarters and waited for Sevastyan and Eglantine to enter.

"Anything to drink you two? and what are your thoughts on the trial anything that surprised you?" she asked.

Eglantine leapt down from Sevastyan's shoulders and walked over to a nearby chair. Sitting down on the comfortable cushion, she transfigured back into her human form. Despite several red marks around her neck and her hair being slightly disheveled, Eglantine looked fine. Pulling her wand out, she straightened her hair and smoothed out her dress.

"Yes, tea would be lovely." she muttered, pressing a hand to her forehead.

Sevastyan entered the Headmistress's personal chambers, careful to mind the feline upon his shoulders until she had decided to jump down.

"I need a drink, alright, but I vos planning to hit the vodka sometime later in the evening... for now, though, I'll have tea as vell," Sevastyan remarked with a laugh.

"Personally, I am qvite concerned over the testament of Miss Rosier... surely at least vone of us vould have remembered being in a 'romantic moment' had it occurred... and who ve vere vith!" Sevastyan launched into the discussion of the courtroom case. A nervous laugh escaped him after the statement: he may have been a bit promiscuous in his youth, but Sevastyan had not been romantically involved since he'd broken up with his ex-fiancee.

Kiara nodded and summoned her tea set, and a potion vile that contained pain relief, witch she downed in one go.

"Yes I was shocked over that one as well, I can only guess is they manipulated her memory showing her what they wanted her to see, or this guess is more disturbing, we have doubles and they tried to set us up. Mangaven may been trying to make is own evidence, to suport his theory . I hate lawyers like him, they are theorists not lawyers" Kiara said.
