Name: Ana Vaight
Alias: Jino (Darien calls her Coward. Or just Cow.)
Age: 14
Favourite Songs: Shissou - Vic Mignogna + Runaway - Avril Lavigne
Description: Tall, naturally dark hair dyed pale red, hazel eyes and pale skin.
History:
Ana is the second of two children. Both her parents come from pure-blooded families with ancient dynasties and bloodlines. They are also vampires. Her many relatives gather to initiate new clan members, but her father is the head of the clan, undisputedly. Her only sibling, Darien, is already a fully fledged vampire, bloodthirsty and cruel. He bullies and torments Ana for being shy and reluctant to drink blood. He is Reginald’s favourite child, and Ana is often passed over in favour of him.
Ana is always quiet, preferring not to say anything, as she has a natural bluntness which is not good when your opinions clash with those cherished by your family. She believes vampires shouldn’t kill, and shouldn’t drink blood at all if possible. She shows her emotions easily, as no one ever bothered to teach her to hide them. But she is an adept liar, and a fast learner. Her appearance is serious, and she rarely smiles.
Her brother’s cruelty and her parents’ neglect have left her reluctant to confide in anyone, as she knows no one to confide in. She has no friends, as the ones selected by her family were typical vampires, who she did not care for. She despises Darien’s disregard for human life, and believes that vampires should not feed on humans for moral reasons. If she had her way, she would prefer to live out her days as a human. She dreads her initiation as much as Darien urges her to get it over with. Despite his cruelty to her, she still loves him as a brother, for the times when he can be almost caring. But she is not naive enough to believe he’d side with her against anyone in the family...except the cousins he is so paranoid about. She also fears that her father will marry her off to one of her elder cousins, and as she despises them and everything they represent, she has decided that if that choice arises, she will run away.
Not that she’d get very far with a family full of vampires and practised human-trackers on her heels.
Despite having magical talent, her parents are eager to marry her off and refuse to fund any further education, despite her aptitude. With the feud between her family and the Casillas Slayers clan, she feels torn between the human she wants to be, and the vampire she is destined to become...
