History:
The youngest daughter of Horatio, Calista was always given preferential treatment, particularly as she resembled her mother who was killed shortly after her youngest brother, Raoul, was born. As such, her father allowed her to remain unmarried, and after her eighteenth birthday, he even promised she could choose her own husband.

Remaining at home, she grew close to her brother Raoul, especially as in secret neither of them were very bloodthirsty. However, after Calista’s late initiation at eighteen, when she was forced to kill a young Casillas girl, she was plagued by guilt for the act. This also impacted on Raoul...until his hormones kicked in.

With her brother now a fully-fledged vampire, and just as hungry as the rest of her siblings, Calista has had to hide her secret qualms and guilt from the rest of the family. As long as these remain undiscovered, she shall continue to profit from her father’s favour and lenience towards her. This has allowed her to pursue further magical education, and permitted her to attend Hogwarts instead of the chosen Beaubatons. However, even Horatio’s lenience and favour will not allow her to get a human profession, of any sort. Calista has come to accept that one day she shall have to fulfil what everyone else deem to be her destiny, by joining her siblings in hunts and eventually marry a man whom her father approves.

As the favourite daughter of a prominent vampire, Calista is assertive and remains calm in most situations. She rarely loses her temper, except when she is alone. She prefers to lose control when alone, as that way she can only hurt herself. She is very well-skilled at hiding her emotions, and lying is almost second nature to her.
