Important People in Ethan’s Life (Pre-Hogwarts)

Laura Amello-Addams (playby: Maria Bello) – Ex-wife
Laura Addams (nee Amello) is an Italian-American woman and Ethan’s ex-wife. Though she loved the man she married, during one point in his writing he simply became so obsessed it was like he “wasn’t there anymore”. Add this to the fact that she learned about her husband’s affair with Rose Cantrell, and the fact that Laura had also been having an affair, the relationship simply crumbled under the strain.

Their legal separation was not amicable, and required Divorce Court. It eventually turned out that Laura would receive: their home in Pennsylvania (while Ethan kept the one in Ireland), half of Ethan’s literary earnings, and custody of their three children. Ethan has been granted visitation rights, and is given notification when/if the children should relocate.


Erica & Heather Addams (playby: Amanda & Rachel Pace) – Daughters, aged 10 [as of 2018]
Identical twin girls, Erica and Heather are the firstborn children of Ethan and Laura Addams. They can’t wait to get started at a magical school. Though their mother had considered placing them at Beauxbatons, she will be enrolling them at Hogwarts. Laura has no knowledge that Ethan now works at said school. The girls live with their mother and brother in France, though tend to summer in the Pennsylvania home that once belonged to Ethan.

Valerio Addams (playby: Jake Lloyd) – Son, aged 8 [as of 2018]
Valerio is the youngest child and only son of Ethan and Laura Addams. Ethan feels a very strong connection with all of his children, and thus carries a deep regret that he basically did the same thing his own father did. Valerio is jealous of his sisters, because they’ll be off to Hogwarts next year while he’ll have to stay at home. This jealousy will only grow once he learns his father is teaching there.

Rose Cantrell (playby: Sherilyn Fenn) – Ethan’s Literary Agent (1) & Former Extramarital Lover
Rose Cantrell, the flirty woman that took up the job as Ethan’s literary agent, went from skeptical cynic to obsessive fan of the wizard’s works of literature. Her support of his novel series rivaled that of even Laura’s, and the next thing Ethan remembers is waking up and finding a woman other than his wife laying beside him. Their affair lasted for two years, until Laura caught them out of retaliation for Ethan having caught her first. Even after they got caught the relations continued, which ultimately “helped” Laura push for a divorce. After accepting Laura’s request, though fighting her tooth and nail over technical matters, Ethan broke up with Rose and hired a new literary agent.


Jason Groves (playby: Timothy Hutton) – Ex-wife’s Lover; Colleague; Former Friend
Jason was Ethan’s colleague and one of his best friends, until he found the man in bed with Laura. To this day Ethan’s relationship with Jason is strained, mostly because Laura is still maintaining a relationship with him and Jason has no qualms with mentioning it. What really burns Ethan is that Jason has no intention of being a step-father figure for the kids when or if he and Laura decide to marry.


Adrian Sumner (playby: Charles S. Dutton) – Ethan’s Divorce Court Lawyer
Adrian Sumner is Ethan’s Divorce Court Lawyer, though he used to be an auror. As such, the man does some other on-the-side work for Ethan as well... for a price.


George Sykes (playby: John Turturro) – Laura’s Divorce Court Lawyer
Ethan does not know this man very well, but nor does he like him one bit due to the role he played in his legal separation from Laura. Sykes is for the most part a general lawyer, and best termed as a ‘shark’. Though he is not of pure-blood lineage, he has certainly gone to great lengths to make it seem so.


Chrysanta Trengrove (playby: Rose McGowan) – Ethan’s Literary Agent (2)
Though Ethan finds Chrysanta to be a beautiful woman, his relationship with her is strictly on a friendship and professional basis. Memories of the past keep Ethan’s behavior in check even though he no longer has to worry about his wife discovering anything.



Amaranth Viper (playby: Tarja Turunen) – Ethan’s Student / Herbology "Client" / Colleague / Friend
Ethan’s relationship with Amaranth Viper is varied: he was her instructor in Remedial Herbology two years ago, yet he also supplied her with rare (and in most cases illegal) ingredients and whatnot. Now, upon arriving at Hogwarts, Ethan has discovered that Amaranth has also taken up the role of professor. Will the two manage to stay out of trouble, or will they brew up some mischief of their own?



Residences
Ethan will tell anyone that listens that he’s practically been all over the world. This is somewhat true, for his mother tended to keep them both relocating to a new area every few years. The longest place he resided as a child was in Australia, for six years. Unfortunately, Ethan does not remember what all of the houses he’s lived in look like.
