Class 2!

Calista waited for the students to take their seats before standing up, annoyed.
Not one of them had completed her homework assignment. ((I got no PMs people, and the deadline was aaaages ago...lol))

She waited for silence to fall, face impassive.

Taking a deep breath in she spoke calmly, but ice in each syllable.
Nobody mocked her subject in this manner and got away with it.

"You all have detention."

She waved her wand and the words "DETENTION! Tonight, 8pm." appeared, in shining red.
It looked really dramatic on the blackboard.

"So I shall expect to see you all here tonight at exactly eight o'clock, no excuses, no exceptions...I don't care if you die in the interum, I shall expect your ghostly form here at 8pm. Nor shall you be exempt if you catch the black death, or any other infectious and life-threatening disease or if you are hospitalised for any matter of health issue, you shall be here at 8pm sharp...If you do not attend I shall have to hunt you down. And I assure you that would not be fun for you. The punishment shall be double for each minute you are late."

She smiled sweetly. "Any questions?"

((Okay everybody, let's RP these reactions 'Cos the HM wants to see them...and so do I! lol...Oh, and someone might want to ask why they have detention cos she's deliberately not told them yet. ))

"Professor?" Nicolas said raising his hand up. "Why are we getting detention?"

((lol because Calista's gone mad with power...))

"I'm glad you asked Mr Casillas." Calista replied. "So nobody has any ideas?"
She paused.
"Apparently not. Well, I'll have to tell you then. I recieved not one piece of homework from any of you. Therefore you all have detention this evening. And I do not appreciate my subject being mocked in this manner."

Nicolas groaned.

"This is your fault you know." Diana hissed at Nicolas.

"What?" Nicolas said.

"If you hadn't borrowed my notes, and burnt them, I'd have done the homework!" Diana said glaring.

"It was an accident, Alec didn't mean anything by it, did you Al?" Nicolas said talking to his inner robe pocket.

"Er... maybe you shouldn't have put paper besides a burning salamander?!" Diana snapped.

Calista raised an eyebrow at the Casillas conversation.
"Mr Casillas, I would suggest that salamander remains away from your own and your cousin's homework."
Then she had an amusing idea.
"Oh, and when I said all of you had detention, that included your salamander."

((lol yup, she's going mad with power...detaining a fiery lizard. lol))

Raven raised her hand and said, "I didn't know what the homework was professor."

"What?" Nicolas said.

"Ha, serves Al right," Diana said. "Bloody salamander."

"You know you've always had it in for Alec." Nicolas said.

"No... just when he burnt my homework!" Diana screeched.

"Well it was on the board Miss..." Calista replied, before glaring icily at the squabbling Casillases.
"Do you want another hour of detention? And I'm talking to all three of you." She glared particularly at the salamander, before turning back to Raven.

"Sorry Professor," Nicolas said smiling up at her. "My cousin's a drama queen."

Diana looked scandalized.

Calista rolled her eyes. "Suddenly the salamander seems the most mature of all three of you."
She turned back to Raven.

"When we get back to the Common Room..." Diana said through gritted teeth. "You better keep an eye on that Lizard of yours else, it should be dropped in some icy water!"

Nicolas scooted away from Diana. "It's okay Alec, the evil witch won't get you..."

Calista smiled.
"An excellent idea Mr Casillas, please move to the opposite side of the classroom...And deposite your fiery friend in this cage en route."
She waved her wand and a plain iron cage appeared. Calista felt slightly mean, so waved her wand again, causing the cage to become far more comfortable, with a large cushion and other soft furnishings, all fireproof of course.

"Si Professora!" Nicolas chriped. "Anything for you."

He gentle put Alec inside the cage. Alec for his part hissed.

Nicolas however, sat in the seat closest to Calista's desk.

Diana bumped her head with her text book.

Calista blinked, as the boy sat down at the nearest desk. Oh well, he probably wanted to be near his foul-mouthed salamander.

"Mind your language Alec." She muttered to the hissing animal.

She glanced up as the textbook connected with Diana's head.
"Miss Casillas, if you are going to beat your brains out please do so in your common room, not my classroom. The house elves just cleaned this floor."

"I'm sorry Professor, it's just if you live with him in awhile, you'd want to beat your brains out." Diana said seriously.

"Your cousin or the salamander?" Calista asked, smiling slightly.

"The cousin," Diana said. "At least the Salamander doesn't talk."

In the corner, Nicolas stuck his tongue out.

Calista smiled slightly, then returned her face to it's unemotional expression.
"Right so, remember everyone...Detention. Any more questions related to this detaining topic?"

"Yes," Armando appeared in the door. "Can I have a moment?"

Calista fought the urge to blush, and remained calm.
"Of course Professor. Class...Recite the first declension to each other, in pairs, until I return. Anyone not reciting shall face my wrath...and Mr Casillas if you move any nearer your fiery friend I shall be forced to confiscate him. I expect him to be there when I return."
She rose and left, shutting the door behind her and Armando.
"Okay, one minute." But she was open to negotiation...

Armando didn't waste a second, he pulled her into his arms and kissed her.

Calista kissed him back until she ran out of oxygen. She broke away and smirked slightly.
"You know, your nephew is really weird."

"I do not really want to talk about Nicolas at the moment," he said kissing her neck.

"Why did Salvador come here?" Nicolas said sitting by Diana again.

"That's her fiancee." Diana whispered to him.

"What? She's taken?" Nicolas asked. "Shoot..."

Calista let the subject drop.

"Fine with me."

She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.

Alec the Salamander, had been trying to get out. And by doing so, he'd accidentally sent sparks in the nearby desk... a nearby wooden desk.

"Should we get the Professor...?" Someone in the room said.

"No we can put it out," someone cast the Aguamenti spell.

"No!" Diana said but it was too late. Within moments, the desk was on fire. "Salamander fire won't go out on an Aguamenti spell..."

Nicolas was out the door. "Professor Palmer..."
