Top of the Astronomy Tower ((When there isn't a class))

"Which ya in them, lass. How could they not be bonnie sweet?" he stated seriously. "Good night, Ara." Ciaran smiled, returning her kiss. And then afraid that he would never be able to force himself to leave...he quickly bowed and hurried from the tower.

Kiara walked slowly up the Astronomy tower, it would be nearing evening now and it was end to a pretty good day, she anixous to finally find out what Cianan had up his sleeve and why he had her wonder around Hogwarts to finally get here. Not that she mineded of course.

She opened the trap door and walked out on to the top....

Ciaran stood beside a table elaborately set for two. He had a smile on his face and looked very pleased to see her.
"I knew ya'd make it, Ara." he grinned. Pulling out her chair for her, he gestured for her to be seated.

Kiara's mouth dropped sligtly "Wow.... Ciaran what is all this?" she said as a smile spread over her face.

Sitting down she asked "What is the occasion?" still smiling, clear happy with the idea.

"You didn't have to go to all this trouble" looking over the table,

Ciaran beamed. "You'll see, lass." he stated, winking.

Kiara blinked her anciapation growing, "You love keeping me curious don't you" she with a laugh.

"There is more?" she asked again after moment.

Ciaran nodded, pulling out a covered tray. Setting her plate in front of her, covered to keep it warm, he seated himself in his own chair and lit the two candles in the centre of the table.
"Shall we be eating now?" he asked her, blue eyes shining.

Kiara smile widen and she nodded, the look in his eyes was enough to make her wonder what else he had planned. "Alright" she said with a laugh. "What is for dinner on this lovely evening?'

"Why don't ya look, lass?" he smiled, leaning forward on his elbows.

Kiara laughed "Very well, you are lucky I like surprises by the way" she said taking the lid off the tray.

"It has been one after another today"

A small velvet box sat neatly beside her mashed potatoes, green beans, roasted pork and rolls.

Kiara's eyes widened at the box in the centre mouth droped for the second time that evening.

Her heart beat quickened and her hands began to shake as she picked the box up.

She look from the box to Ciaran

"What... what is... is this a... a....is it...ummm"

Ciaran chuckled softly, as he moved from his seat to kneel down in front of her. Taking the box from her shaking hands, he opened it, revealing a perfectly sized engagement ring fitted with blue sapphires and surrounded by tiny red diamonds.

"This is me askin ya to consider becoming me wife." He stated, smoothly. "I'm not a rich man; but I figure ta give ya me whole life as long as it'll be and honour ya and cherish ya."

Kiara thanked the lords and Merlin he hadn't done this any later or she might have pass out cause of her lungs.

The food was forgotten about and Kiara turned to him, entirely on him.

Taking a breath to calm her never and let get a sentence out she smiled and spoke.

"Nothing would make me happier..."she said softly as she her eyes shined partly form tears but mostly for the great happiness with in them.

"Yes, I will marry you"

Ciaran rose from his knees to slip the ring onto her finger, before scooping her up into his arms to whirl her around.

"Ya've made me the happiest man in the world." he shouted, stopping to kiss her forehead.

Kiara laughed and wraped her arms around his neck.

"I am glad... and you have made me the happiest I have been in my entire life...." she lifed her head and kissed him..

She would for ever remember she this day, the day she joined two families.

Ciaran returned the kiss passionately. He wondered briefly what would have happened had he refused his uncle's invitation, but figured his uncle would have dragged him to Hogwarts in a sack had he not come willingly. And then that dog that had leapt on Kiara...and Eglantine's quick retreat with the dog transfigured into a spoon, carefully tucked into her pocket... those thoughts faded as he broke the kiss, to look deeply into Ara's lovely eyes.

"The moon's making ya a halo." he muttered.

Kiara smiled and ran a finger through his red hair. "you and your poetry... are to good for me" she whispered.

"Did Tav know you were going to do this? I dare say he nearly made Sevastyan faint when he told him you were going to marry me"

She laughed again at the memory, She already felt close to the 8 year old and would do anything to keep a smile on his face.

"So he will not be surprised when we tell him?" she asked.

Ciaran chuckled. "He's terbil at keepin secrets secret, but that'll be his wee fault." he muttered. So Tav had almost blown the entire thing, he thought, happy that at least part of the surprise had remained intact. He wouldn't have asked Kiara to marry him without his son's approval. Tav hadn't really even met Kiara when he had asked the boy about it, but he had already decided she was the the perfect step mother for him.
"Aye, nothing will be surprising that lad."

Kiara laughed "Well that explains those strange out of the blue questions" she said in amusement.

"Tav and I get along wonderfuly, he already has me wraped around his little finger" she remembering there tour.

"I think I love him already"

Sighing she looked up at Ciaran.

"Oh I love you, and thank you for giving me a family to love again" she said as she huged him closer.

Ciaran rearranged his arms so that Kiara was more comfortable and sighed. "Thank ya to, lass. You've given me a great deal too."

She sighed maybe or maybe not. She didn't want him to be hurt by her because she would become injured or worse.

"There is still something you should know, I wanted to tell you eariler, but I wasn't sure what you would think. You see my last name is cursed, probavly why I am always running into trouble" she said hestianly.

He had the right to know who he wanted to marry.

Ciaran's forehead wrinkled slightly as he lifted his eyebrows. He wondered briefly what name could possibly be cursed to the extent that she was worried about telling him. It her last name was Hell itself, he'd still marry her.

"Aye, what is it lass?" he asked.

Kiara looked up "Well until afew hours ago it was Riddle... that is right as in Tom Riddle... Voldemort's father was my uncle. I now it is Riddle-Delanquar, better then Riddle but appeantly still sought after, and Lestrange doesn't count anymore"

Then a small smile appeared on her lips "McConn balances it all out doesn't it?"

Ciaran swallowed, surprised. Riddle and Lestrange... goodness.

"How'd DeLanquar find its way to that list?" he asked teasingly, pulling her closer in his arms.
