The Rose Bushes

Viper tried not to laugh but failed mesirably, her laughter ripping through the cool air in a cadence of delight.

Diana felt heat creep up her cheeks. "I think I prefer detention." She said to Darien.

Viper shook her head. "Sorry loves, thy will be done, you both agreed!"

"Would you like a copy too Professor?"

Viper thought for a moment, riiples of giggles still escaping her. "Yes, I think I would. It would make a lovely addition to my scrapbook." she waved her hadn conjuring parchment and quills, handing it to the two. "Here, I've already provided your materials. Get started so Professor Delanquar will be wide awake when she reads your apologies." she smirked. "Remember, don't skimp on the details. If you leave out even one crucial point, I'll have you do the apology verbally in person!"

She laughed as a thought hit her. "And I'll look the other way should our dear transfigurations mistress hex you for your poor role-modeling for her son." she smirked.

Darien swore again, under his breath.
"Professor, you cannot be serious!"

"No, I'm not serious..I wouldn't let Professor Delanquar hex you."

"I'd prefer to be hexed..."
Darien muttered.

Viper shook her head. "Get started, Mr.Vaight. Now! Or I'll add your father to the list of letters to write!" she warned.

Diana took the parchment and quill and stared at Darien.

"That goes for your father as well, Ms.Casillas!"

Diana stared at her bit of parchment. She looked up at Darien, then at Professor Viper.

Then she whipped her wand out to create a hard surface which she could write on. She settled herself down and started to write.

"Dear Professor DeLanquar...."

With every word she wrote she became redder, and redder.

"Suddenly I feel like writing..." Darien muttered under his breath.
He magicked a make-shift desk together out of branches and stone.
He picked up a quill and began to ponder what to write.

Viper watched with amusement at the two students apologizing, still unable to contain her laughter.

It wasn't like they were doing anything remotely... vulgar. It was pretty tame. But still, the mere fact of writing it down for a Professor to read seemed like it was the more vulgar thing in the world. Throughout the entire thing she avoided looking at Darien nor at the Professor.

Diana put finished her letter and folded it. She then handed it to the Professor.

Viper scanned through it and shook her head. "I believe this is missing a few details."

Dear Professor DeLanquar...
Darien got bored. This was why he hated doing homework. He pulled out his self writing quill and watched it scribble over the page, writing his thoughts for him.
[i]Okay, why the hell do I have to write this letter? Viper must've had her drink tampered with...evil evil evil evil evil...wow I think evil a lot...Ana...evil... But this is worse! Anyway, meant to be apologising. Sorry. Done? nope...don't leave any detail Viper says...ugh...This is not even going to be legible at this rate...
BRILLIANT!
He picked up his quill and began writing in tiny, sruffy lettering.
This was going to be illegible...

Viper frowned as she looked over Darien's shoulder. "Mr.Vaight, please! She's not a woman in the bloom of youth! You'll have to write better than that for her to see it!" she said, vanishing his writing. "Please, bigger and neater."

Darien smiled sweetly.
"That's my handwriting professor...my hand won't write any other way."

"But we didn't do that much!" Diana said indignantly.

Viper shrugged. "Very well then. You're excused from this. You may apologize in person, Mr.Vaight."

Viper shot an amused look at Diana. "And thank Merlin for it. Otherwise I'd arrange for Professor Delanquar to have a little chat with you on sex ed!"

Darien swore.
"However, I am ambidextrous, so I can write...bigger and neater." he sighed and began to write again.
Dear professor DeLanquar...

"Yes, so there really isn't anything more I can do to exultify 'I was snogging with Darien Vaight'. "

Darien snorted with laughter.
"You know, once you get past the total humiliation of this, it is pretty funny."

"..very passionately In front of your two year old son, while whispering promises of my unwavering love and dveotion!" Viper declared dramatically. "There, I've already written a paragraph. Please, proceed."

Viper smiled at Darien's comment. "That's the spirit, Mr.Vaight!"
