Viper's Pool Party

Eglantine sat sideways against the edge of the pool, her wand in her lap. Edwin was splashing around in the water with conjured floatation wings holding him up. He splashed water at her and watched disappointed as the water fell from the invisible shield.
"Play too?" he asked, smacking his clutched snake. It was the same one that Viper had given to him when she had watched him and he could not be convinced to part with it, much to Eglantine's horror.

"No, darling. Mama does not like water." she responded. He giggled.
"Tibby play?" but he was already occupied with seeing how wet he could make the plush snake.

Viper swam towards Eglantine, her raven hair completely soaked and her pale cheeks splashed with pink happiness. She smirked at the sight of Edwin playing with the snake. "Aw, isn't that precious! He loves the snake! See, I told you the pool party was a good idea!"

"Indeed you did." Eglantine agreed, returning the smile. "And as for that snake... You should be happy to know that he named it Viper."
At the sight of Viper, Edwin cooed in delight holding out the dripping snake.
"Viper is wet!" he chirped happily. His hair had yet to get wet, but the rest of him was just as wet as the toy.

Viper laughed at the sight. "Indeed she is. Ironically, its due to her precious serpents.." she stuck her tongue out at the offending seventh year males.

Eglantine chuckled. However Edwin looked angrily at the students.
"What a se-pants?"

Viper pointed to the toy snake in his hand. "That is." she turned around, lifting her fishnet shirt slightly, revealing the emerald serpent tattoo on her lower back. "And that is." she pointed.

"Cool!" Edwin shouted, slapping "viper" down into the water with a dull splash. Eglantine cringed at his use of a word she had obviously not taught him. "Viper has sepant on back, Mama."

"So I see." Eglantine muttered.

Viper raised an eyebrow at the toddler's use of slang. She briefly wondering where he had learned it, for she was willing to bet her entire Viper inheritance that Eglantine had not taught him that word. Noticing Eglantine's expression at her tatoo, she smirked. "I take it you do not approve of tatoos, Professor?"

"I have nothing against them." she stated, lurching forward as Edwin flipped himself. Edwin laughed happily as he tried to sprinkle water on his mama's swimsuit. "But I dislike the idea of some of their positions." she pulled herself upright again and charmed the floatation devices to keep him upright.

Kiara watched the two professor actually get along for once, from the hot tub wishing colder water agreed with her more.

Darien glanced around, diving underwater for a moment, after Viper's loud exclaimation. Ana hadn't noticed anything. But the twins had...
Darien cursed as he surfaced.
"Might want to yell that a bit louder Viper, not sure everyone quite heard you..."

Diana blushed at Professor Viper's words and hoped to Merlin that her fellow Gryffindors hadn't heard any of it. They seemed to not have. They were all partaking in an animated conversation.

The twins circled and surfaced on either side of Darien.

"Wow, never thought you would fall for a Gryffie!" thought Aiden though there was laugher in his thoughts. He sounded very amused.

Please don't tell Ana...Not yet. Please... Darien pleaded.
He glanced over and saw Ana meet his eyes, the grin on her face not extending to her eyes. In a moment, she had thrown herself into the water.
"Oh great." Darien muttered to Diana. "Quick, yell at me."

Thinking quick, Diana adapted her Prefect voice, "So next time Vaight, please be more considerate of other people. I know you Slytherins have a bit of a problem with that, but at least try and get along with the general public."

Ana surfaced about a metre away from Darien.
"Oh give it a rest Prefect..."
What did he do now? She thought to Darien and the twins.
Darien prayed, whilst maintaining a bad-boy, I-don't-care, rebellious appearance during Diana's rant.

The twins kept a stright face, though their amusment could be seen in their eyes.

"Darien nearly..

made her fall"

"Head over heels" thought over to Darien. They would keep his secret but they wouldn't let him hear the end of it.

Thank you! Darien was relieved, but remembered to keep a straight face just in time, flopping back underwater and up again fluidly, splashing Diana.
He smirked his Slytherin smirk and Ana rolled her eyes, glancing towards the teachers.

"That jerk," Helena said coming to Diana's side.

"I know right," Diana agreed. She was completely drenched in water.

"Here, let me get back at him." As Helena was taking out her wand, Diana stopped her friend.

"No, allow me." Diana said. With a flick of her wand, Darien's swimming trunks turned bright pink and said "I love Gryffindors" all over it.

Darien glared across at the Gryffindors, Ana hiding her hysteria.
"Ana, change them back."
She smirked. "Nope. Go get your own wand."
"I'm not getting out wearing these!"
Ana laughed, and fell backwards into the water, landing on her hands and flipping into the water again. She surfaced, still laughing. "Still nope."

Her fellow Gryffindors were absolutely drenched in laugher.

Diana grinned and winked at Darien.

Darien glared back. "Ana...change these back. Now."
Ana sighed, rolling her eyes and summoned her wand. With a flick, a huge flashing sign appeared over Darien's head, declaring: "Everyone read my trunks."
Darien glanced up, then at Ana. "I hate you. A lot."
Ana faked hurt. "Just for that..." She flicked her wand again, and two long metal rods with pincers on the end hooks themselves around Darien and hoisted him into the air.
"Oi!"
"Oh, sorry I forgot." Ana waved her wand and a transparent seat appeared underneath Darien. The pincers relinquished him and hung onto the seat instead. By now, the ceiling of the room had started to grow and Darien was hoicsted even higher as the sign flew upwards.
Ana smirked as the seat worked as a magnifying glass and students began collapsing with laughter. She glanced over at the teachers, wondering if they'd laugh or kill her.
Darien groaned. Why did he leave his wand in his dorm? He summoned it to him, but knew he'd still have a while to wait before it actually arrived.
