Casey didn't miss the title on the book the Professor levitated something about internal injuries.

"Are you injured Professor?"

"No, Miss Silvertongue, I am not injured." As if to clarify the statement, she began to write on a piece of parchment with her hand. The usually elegant handwriting was greatly messed due to the shaking, but she continued to write.

"But..."

Everything about the Professor said otherwise. It was more then just a bitten tongue and a bad night sleep. Her instincts were screaming something was wrong with the woman.

"...Maybe you should see the nurse, just in case"

"I already spoke with the nurse, but thank you for your concern." Eglantine rose from the chair. "Good day, both of you..." And without waiting for a response, she left the library heading for her office.

Somehow, the Winged Horse, Persephone found self inside the Castle and inside the Library.

She whined loudly. Where is Nicolas? she thought.

She ran up one aisle.

Nicolas? she thought. Not here!

Nicolas, Nicolas! She whined. Where was he? Where was she?

She started kicking the bookshelves down. Nicolas?

She ran other length and kicked a few more bookshelves down. Nicolas!

Kiara ran into the library and looked in shock when she saw Persephone run though out the library.

"How did you get in here?" said asked more calmly then she felt as she approched the panicked horse.

The horse ran back and forth, knocking down bookshelves where-ever she went.

"Oh..No.. oh suger cupes goodthing I still have a few left"

Kiara moved closer to Persphone slowly but in plan sight so the horse could see her.

She held her hand out in front of her with the suger cubes.

"Shh it's alright Persephone, calm down.... are you looking for Nicolas? I can help you find him.. come on... its alright"

she said quietly inching forward.

Persephone stopped trashing as the Headmistress approached her. I know you. She thought.

Still holding out her hand showing the suger cubes.

"It is alright, I will help you find Nicolas that is who you are looking for right?" she said softly getting ever closer, hand out streched infront of her.

SUGAR! Persephone approached the Headmistress happily.

As if on cue, Nicolas barged into the room. "Persephone?"

"Headmistress, are you alright?"

Kiara sighed with relief when Perephone came over to her happily getting the sugar cubes.

"Yes I am fine Mr. Casillas, now help me her outside where she is supposed to be, and you and I will have little chat"

Nicolas nodded and he went to Persephone to stroke her. "Alright Headmistress."

Luna as always had she head in a book, she loved reading and writing it was her favorite hobby.

Then she felt the tell tale pain of her nerves sheering, Biting her tongue she closed her book and put her head down waiting for the pain to pass.

"Professor?" Nicolas called out. It seemed the Professor hadn't arrived yet. He sat down on a nearby chair.

Kiara walked in to the library, wandllessly putting all the book shelves back in place.

"Mr. Casillas you detention is simple put the book away by hand and you are done"

Nicolas nodded. "Alright Professor."

He picked up several books at once. "And place them in order I presume?"

((I do not know when this timeline occurs... sometime during the Triwizard Tournament...))

Horatio McKevin entered the library and randomly selected a book from its well-organized shelves. With the history book safely in hand, he seated himself at a nearby table and became lost in his own written world of history. He had been reading for about an hour when he heard the door open and turned slightly to see Professor DeLanquar enter.

Eglantine tried desperately to ignore Professor McKevin, as she was still upset at him for vaporizing her flower beds. Still it was rude to completely ignore people and she nodded to him as she hovered by.

Closing the history book, Horatio decided another apology was due. After all, laughing about destroying her flower garden had hardly been the best way to win her friendship. And he could not have her angry at him when the Yule Ball came around. Rising from the chair, he approached where she was book browsing.

"Any book you are looking for in particular?" he asked, gently, his hand reaching into his pocket for his pipe. It was a habit to either finger or bite on his pipe while books were present.

Eglantine shook her head, not turning to look at him. They remained silent staring at the books her fingers grazed over for a few minutes, before he finally brought his pipe to his lips.
"Do you mind smoke?" he asked, breaking the silence with a proverbial hammer. Eglantine sighed.

"No, Professor McKevin I do not mind smoke. However I do mind you standing over me like a vampire." The gentleman retreated immediately and she sighed again.

"Forgive me, my lady." he bowed, smiling. "And do allow me to apologize again for the destruction I caused to your garden."
Eglantine stiffened, but soon relaxed.

"Very well, I accept your apology. The flowers are replanted as well." He nodded.

"That is wonderful to hear. And the songbird was some small gift to your garden?" He dared to hope. She smiled.

"Indeed, it was lovely. I returned it to your office." Horatio beamed.

"So I noticed." he murmured. Eglantine levitated herself from her chair and pulled a book from a higher up shelf.

"Professor DeLanquar, have you ever watched a muggle movie called Bedknobs and Broomsticks?" He received a rather blank look for his answer. "It just struck me that your name and one of the main character's name are the very same. Eglantine, meaning sweetbriar. A lovely name if I do say so myself."

Eglantine was glad to be higher up, as she carefully hid her blush behind a book.
"Why thank you, Professor." she returned. He shook his head.

"Professor will never do, my dear. I beg of you to call me Horatio even Mr. Horatio would be better than Professor. It makes it sound as if you are my pupil and that cancels my chances of truly befriending you."

Eglantine stared down at him.
"So you do not wish to befriend your students?" she quipped, smiling as he stammered back a reply.
"Um...no, that is not what I meant. I simply desire my friends to call me by my first name. Even my middle name, Malcolm, if you prefer."

"Very well, Horatio Malcolm. I shall address you as a friend if only to help you retain your sanity." The man beamed and bowed.

"Thank you, thank you." he slipped his pipe back into his pocket. "And now may I request something bold and unmannerly? May I call you Eglantine?"

The Head of Gryffindor closed her eyes. She should have seen that coming.
"If you must..." she replied. Only moments later she longed to pull those words from the air and recant ever speaking them. As soon as the final syllable left her mouth, Horatio McKevin began to sing a rather rowdy song, dancing about the Library with surprising grace.

"Eglantine, Eglantine!

She listened, eyes wide, mouth open as he turned cartwheels around the book shelves and reading tables, singing loudly in a rather well tuned bass.

"Professor McKevin!" she exclaimed, wishing he would stop and yet also hoping he would not hear her...after all, she had never had any man dance around singing a song simply because her name was in it. It was rather flattering.

Finally he stopped dancing for a moment to stand before her, red faced with exertion and thankfully silent. She was speechless. What if a student had heard? or worse...had seen?

However instead of begging apologies or tipping his hat, so to speak and leaving, Horatio wrapped his arm around Eglantine's waist and pulled her into a dancing position, careful to not bump her side or hip as he began to waltz to the tune of "Eglantine" which he charmed to play in the air about them.

Half-way through, Eglantine had stopped struggling and began to enjoy the feel of the strong arm supporting her and the whirling dance they continuously spun in. It was tantalizingly wonderful and due to the fact she had had nothing to do with its beginning and could do nothing to stop it, she laughed softly and wrapped her own arm around his neck.

"Do you hear that?" Diana said, her head appearing from a book.

Nicolas laughed, "Yes!" He was tilting his chair so he could see the two professors who were in a few shelves from their little study group.

"It's DeLanquar and our new History of Magic Professor!" Helena said excitedly.

Diana had her back to them and she turned to see. She gave a laugh.

"Want to sing that song in our next Transfiguration Lesson Hel?" Nicolas suggested.

"You're on!"

Horatio sang his rendition of "Eglantine" once more before, stopping to stand holding the Head of Gryffindor in the middle of the Library. She was smiling radiantly and he could hardly remember seeing a more lovely sight. Nothing was more sacred to him than making people laugh and smile.

"I suppose I should apologize for "sweeping you of your feet"." he stated seriously. Eglantine removed her hand from his neck and let it trail down his chest until it was at her side.
"There is no need." she muttered. "Although I would hope that you have no plans to do it again." Was she flirting with him? she thought shocked.

Horatio laughed and released her from his tight embrace. She smoothed out her dress and floated back toward her wheelchair.

It had been a wonderful, the feeling of being in his strong arms and laughing as he twirled them around and around. And that was what concerned Eglantine. She refused to let herself enjoy the experience even after she had enjoyed it.

Without turning to look at the man behind her, she bit her lip. "I cannot attend the ball with you, Professor McKevin. I am truly sorry." And hating herself, she fled from the library.

Horatio stood, shocked as Eglantine hurried out. Maybe she had not really been laughing? Had he hurt her? It was rather confusing and hurtful that she had suddenly for what seemed like no reason refused to attend the ball with him. Here he was over 100 years old and still getting "dumped" as the current generation would say...

Sighing, he made his way out into the hall.

Calista walked into the library and glanced around at all the books.
One could never read too many books...
She wandered into the Ancient Runes section and started looking for a book on the basics of latin. She wasn't quite sure what to teach the class...and in what order.
She sighed. Teaching was harder than it looked.

Viper rolled her eyes at all the graffitti in the book she had in her hand and stuck it back on the shelf. Unfortunetly, the school's old age was apparent to all as the shelf collapsed and all the books cascaded downward...

Calista spun around as the sound of falling books reached her.
She turned and walked quickly to the scene, wondering who had caused the fall of books...
