Kiara shook she head "No idea...although they didn't seem like such good firends from where I was standing. Eglantine didn't look to happy to see her actually"

Viper raised an eyebrow. "Really? That's odd." she said as she remembered how cross Eglantine had been with her for calling Lasharna a giantess.

Kiara shugged "Oh well, anyway and you have become friends with Sevastyan, you don't show concern for just anyone"

Viper smiled despite herself and looked defiantly straight into Kiara's eyes. "Well, Sevastyan has been a very good friend and at this point it appears my list of friends is quite limited." She stated as she thought of Kiara's unwavering suspicions.

Kiara locked eyes with Viper "Wasn't you your self that said "you can always trust a dishonst person to be dishonest. I trust you to be you, only problem is you are quite a puzzle Viper. Sometimes I don't know who you are.... but I am glad you are friends with Sevastyan"

Viper laughed hollowedly, from neither coldness or merriment, just a hollow cadence. "That makes two of us..." she mutterd lowly as she took another sip, although it was unclear to which statement she was replying to: Kiara not knowing who Viper was, or that Kiara was glad of Viper's friendship.

Viper straightened her posture, crossing her legs and calling for a refill. "However, I also said that if a dishonest person says they are dishonest, does that mean they are lying about being dishonest? Or are they being honest about the fact they are never honest?" she smiled.

Kiara sighed "You are a conumdrum Viper, you can be either or when you want to be, and it makes thing complicated"

Viper scoffed. "No one can be either or. See, I find the easiest, most logical answer to be that there is no such thing as truth. Merely interpretations of an event." her smile brightened as the bartender refilled her beverage and took a sip.

"So, that being said, tell me your interpretation of the reason you are here instead of a more...lighthearted bar such as the Three Broomsticks."

"I am here to investigate, what killed Charity McDoogle. Not much luck so was about to leave when I saw you" Kara explained

"I see. Have the Ministry completely given up on that case then? I haven't heard of any other investigations."

Kiara nodded "Minstry has classified it as unsolved and put away so if some thing does come up it can be reopened later. But since it was so close to hogwarts I wanted to find out what I could. Which unfortunatly isn't much"

Viper nodded. "I'm not suprised. Madame McDoogle really wasn't a popular person. Even if anyone in here knew the murderer, they'd keep quiet."

Kiara shrugged "So it seems, What did she do to be so unliked, I didn't have the pleasure of meeting her so.."

Viper sighed. "She made many deals with many people...but rarely kept her end of the bargain." She wondered briefly if she would regret disclosing this bit of information to Kiara, but then forced the thought away, deciding that an honest front would work best.

Kiara blinked "Deals? what sort of deals?" this was the most amount of infromation she got yet, so she was taking what she could get.

"At point or another she handled the Prisoner Affairs for Azkaban. She would make deals with them, stating that she would save them from the Dementor's Kiss in favor for a few, 10 years at most in Azkaban in exchange for information, money, whatever. The prisoner would naturally agree and do as she wished." she breathed in sharply and closed her eyes, willing herself not to lose control as her nails dug into the wooden counter.

"She lied, every single time. Many victims fell pray to the Dementor's Kiss, despite being fully cooperative."

Kiara kept this bit of information stored away and commented. "I see how she would have enemies, if that was her game. Playing like that is dangerous"

"Who was the last person she "made a deal with"? do you know?" she asked.

Viper thought for a moment. She knew it wasn't Leviathon, for there were a few others after that, although she couldn't be too sure. "I'd assume either a Carrow or possibly a Dolohov, judging by the dates."

Kiara blinked she had heard of those trials, "hmm would problably give casue for someone to want her dead then.... I wonder if any of them had family left that might explain some things....." she said as she went in to thought.

Viper nodded. She had a lethal card in her hand, one that may lead to her downfall...or save her. With bated breath she replied. "Well you might as well aske me then, for my brother Leviathon was one of them."

Kiara looked shocked at first but shook her head, she would not accuse Viper unitl she had solid proof, Viper would gladly point that out to her that she had none.

"Thank you for telling me" she said.

"Of course. I wouldn't want you getting the wrong impression." Viper replied.

"Oh course not..." Kiara said but she filed it away, Viper was a bigger suspect know then she was earlier.

"So what do you think of Professor McKevin?" she asked changing the topic.

Viper bit her lip to hold in her laughter. "Well," she said in a strained giggle-blotted voice. "I can see why you picked him for the History of Magic Post."

She dissolved into giggles as she explained. "He was there to see it all!"

Kiara rolled her eyes "I didn't pick him, he applied for the postion, and his qualifcations are good, do you no reaspect for thoughs older then you?" she said shaking her head. but a small amount of amusement could be seen in her eyes.
