Ana/Darien/Calista Vaight's Character Profiles

Name: Ana Vaight

History:

Ana is the second of two children. Both her parents come from pure-blooded families with ancient dynasties and even older views on life. Her only sibling, her elder brother Darien, attended Durmstrang school (until his best friend jake was killed by a rogue teacher trying to create a Horcrux) and is two years older than her. The two siblings used to be fairly close, as Darien was protective of his young sister. This changed however, when Darien began attending Durmstrang and stopped spending time at home, mostly due to his hatred of his family's views. Since her brother joined Hogwarts, the siblings have become closer, although Ana prefers to be left alone. Their parents are nearly always away and now she attends Hogwarts, she sees even less of them. But this doesn't bother her.

Ana is generally quiet, but always has a plan and never allows anyone to cross her without a suitable punishment. She is a fast learner and proud of her ability. She is a very adept liar, and permenantly hides her emotions from view, to avoid weakness. Her general appearance is calm and innocent, but she is quick to feud and plot when she feels it necessary.

Since arriving at Hogwarts, Ana has decided to attempt to befriend some of the students such as the Avalon twins; but does not do so easily. Ana is slow to trust, and careful whom she trusts, as she knows that if she trusts the wrong person, it could be catastophic.

Her mother and Ana do not see eye-to-eye, particularly as she prefers her father's personality. Ana has a tendancy to treat Darien like an idiot, usually because he acts like one. As the two of them are slightly telepathic, they can communicate regardless of distance apart. Because of this connection, Reginald in particular often uses a form of Legilimency, just to speak to his children inside their heads. Ana respects her father, and just wishes that she could be heir, instead of Darien, who clearly doesn't want to be.

An avid reader, Ana has mastered many spells, sometimes with the aid of her brother, and is quietly confident in her ability. Whilst her brother is also talented, he cares little for OWLs and other such grades and uses his talent only to exert his authority. Ana has a way with words and an ability to make something sound far better than it's reality, yet hides this ability below her facade of youthful innocence. The side that everyone sees, the Ana that everyone thinks they know, is not really her at all...

Age: 16
Birthday: 16th February

History:

Darien is the eldest child and only son of Reginald Vaight and Ana's only sibling. He is quite tall, about 5'8" with dark brown hair always cut short, though a bit ruffled most of the time. He has dark brown eyes that get closer to black when he gets angry. He has a quick temper, is protective of his sister and those he loves, clever, cunning and magically talented. He can be sweet, but doesn't always think things through. He has some more Gryffindor qualities such as loyalty and bravery, but is cunning and not inclined to risk his neck for total strangers. He is, of course, in Slytherin.

His pet, and one of few friends is Graham the black eagle. He is pretty awesome.

He is also dating Diana Casillas and has a tendancy to use cliched and cheesy phrases. This relationship causes great conflict between his emotions and his family and their views. ((A bit like Romeo and Juliet lol!)) His dad does not approve... He can be funny but is quick to jump to conclusions and slow to trust. Darien is a not big fan of Quidditch, prefering to race or perfrom tricks on his broom. His favourite trick, and signiture move, is jumping off the broom, swinging underneath it and landing back on the broom. If he plays Quidditch, he likes to be seeker.

He despises Nick and Boris, rivals from Durmstrang, and gets jealous very quickly. As the weird one in his family, he rebels whenever he can, deliberatly determined to provoke them. He hates the idea of Ana being sucked into the family like a lemming, and tries to make her more Gryffindor...Needless to say, he fails.

But, for a Vaight, his life has been traumatic. At Durmstrang, his best friend (Jake a.k.a. Gleb) was killed by a mad professor who brought Voldemort back. Deep down, Darien still hasn't got over Jake's untimely death...which could cause him problems in the future. His lack of control, now assisted by the wards Professor DeLanquar placed in his mind, is also a fault.

Darien can be annoying, jealous, arrogant, proud and overly protective, but then he can be sweet and caring, with a fondness for cheesy phrases...and daring sports, preferably involving being in wolf form and wrestling with something...occasionally the Whomping Willow. He hopes to turn this into an Olympic Sport...

Calista Vaight/Casillas

Age: 28 (-ish)
Occupation: Ancient Runes Professor
Favourite Song: Memories - Dark Moor/Swingset Chain - Loquat...Or whatever Armando likes. ((lol))
Birthday: 3rd July
Appearance: Average height, dark brown wavy hair down to her shoulders, light brown eyes.

History:

After leaving Hogwarts, Calista went on to become a curse-breaker. Little did she suspect this would force her to work with Armando Casillas, a member of her family's enemy clan... However, Calista's mother was not very interested in the feud or other such matters, and this enabled Calista to escape too much brain-washing on the subject, unlike her brothers. Her youngest brother Raoul has a violent temper and loves his sister dearly, but she fears he is already lost to her father's bias and closed mind.

Whilst working with Armando, the two developed a friendship...and although Calista only admitted it later, she began to fall in love with him. A while after this, at a celebration that involved firewhisky, she woke up in bed with Armando. After the awkwardness, they resumed their friendship as though nothing had happened...but Calista found out about a month later that she was pregnant. She hid this information, and only revealed it due to a drastic and heart-wrenching turn of events! ((masterminded by Lustre and me...)) Whilst in an egyptian tomb, a spear shot out towards Calista, but struck Armando as he pushed her aside. ((For full details see outside Hogwarts, Egyptian Tomb)) Calista revealed her pregnancy as Armando lay dying, and ironically discovered her fears he did not love her to be groundless. Once Armando had died, the Casillas family accused Calista of murder, and she was summoned to court.

One bribed judge later, Calista ended up in a cell in Azkaban. Not that she was really that aware. Her mind was frozen in shock and grief, as tortures came her way in the form of Boggarts in the shape of Armando, insisting that she had killed him, Howlers and exposure to dementors...Not that she could remember anything happy due to her incredible grief.

In a dramatic turn of events ((again masterminded by Lustre and myself)) Armando returned from the dead, with the help of Ana and Diana (Oh and Darien as well). He arrived in her cell, and after Calista finally accepted it was him, they all made a brilliant escape!

Now hiding out with Armando at Hogwarts and teaching Ancient Runes, Calista is overjoyed at the prospect of giving birth soon...and after Armando's romantic proposal. ((Yay!...lol))

But will it last? Will ((lol..pun...awful - fitzwilliam is their son! Hah! I kill myself...okay, I get it, it isn't funny...moving on,)) Armando and Calista remain undiscovered? Will ((lol)) Calista's name ever be cleared? Shall they get more than they bargained for? Shall we all end up regreting me writing this profile? Probably. Shall we all grow tired of Eupa's attempts at humour? ...Rhetorical question!
