"No, kept waking up." he muttered, not needing to say why. There were many unspoken conversations among the McConns... they'd been through too much together to not understand. "Kay its in the player, the remotes under the bed." He went to the bathroom to quickly wash his face. In the mirror he looked tired; far more tired than a kid his age should have looked. "Mum and da are okay..." he murmured to himself. They had to be.

He turned to a cinder block... unmoving, unspeaking as he watched Kiara summon the letter, read it and then reduce it to the ash it was. Her words barely registered with him as his mind rolled over the letter again and again. There had been other problems before that he'd been unable to fix. Eglantine's death... their baby's miscarriage... and so many other things that his brain refused to put into words. But of those losses, and griefs, this was the worst. This was different and so much harder.
"Sh..." he murmured, gathering her into his arms. "It doesn't matter. I love ya so much. It doesn't matter." those were the only words that came to mind, so he said them, moving on autopilot and hoping it somehow comforted Kiara. "I'll never stop lovin ya. Never."

Rossa nodded "Okay" she said as she put pressed the button took the TV off mute to start it. She sat on the floor beside the bed, incase Eden wanted to try and go back to sleep he had his bed free of her. She didn't really know why she wanted be with her brother.. an unsaid feel of comfort she supposed.

Kiara melted into Ciarans arms, though the damage to the situation was done and once again she felt like a burden... causing nothing but problems and pain for her wonderful husband try and fail to fix. She was like a wound in the family, that Charles love pouring salt on to hurt the rest of them. She tried to protect time from it... but here she was crying in her husbands arms again.

With that thought in mind, a determined light entered her eyes, she couldn't give up.. She put a hault to her tears swearing to limit them as much as possible from now on..

"Come on Kiara... your stronger then this.. you have a family to take care of" she reminded her self as she looked back up at Ciaran again. The look in her eyes different as if a wall had just been put up around her inner most self.

"And I love you, my dearest, so much.." she said kissing his cheek, and hugging him again.
