Kiara chuckled and conjured a napkin, she handed it to Tav, " You have a bit of chocolate" she said pointing to where it was.

She nodded with a smile, "Sure Tav, its your day" she said walking with him.

The store was of course busy, kids looking at brooms, a few kids from th hogwarts quiditch teams looking at new gear...

She was counting on Tav coming here actually...she was to pick up one of his gifts here.. it was already bought and paid for...

Tickets to the Quiditch world cup.. three of them.

Oh course she had to make it look unplanned.. she caught the sales persons eye and sent a disrete wink... to make it look as if she was to buy them here and now.

A sign for verious tickets displayed the had some for sale.

"Oh...oops." Tav blushed, wiping at his chin. His gaze went straight back to the broom as they entered the shop.

Ice cream nearly forgotten, he dreamed about the day when he could be old enough to play on Hogwarts Gyffindor team. If he hadn't already set himself up to be an Auror, he would have planned to become a professional Quidditch player...

"Wow! Look, Mum!" he pointed at the snazzy looking Quidditch pads.

Kiara smiled "Yes, very nice" she said with a chuckle. " Have a feeling I know you will be trying out for a quidditch Team when he is able at hogwarts, eh?" she said ruffleing his red hair.

She turned her gaze briefly to the Quidditch ticket booth.. "Hey Tav. have you ever been to a world cup quidditch game?" she asked after a minute.

"Oh yeah!" Tav agreed, enthusiasm obvious in his voice. "I'm going to be a seeker or a chaser." he elaborated, already able to feel the wind in his air and the cheers of students as the snitch was caught proudly within his outstretched hand...

"No... have you?" he glanced back at the tickets... looked interesting.

Kiara smiled, glad Tav was such a fan of the game, she had been surprised Ciaran had never taken him to one.

"Yes, many years ago though, when I was still a student. They are alot of fun to watch, quite thrilling to watch actually..... Do you think you might want to see one?" she asked.

Tav's elation was written across his face in magic-grin from ear to ear.
"Would I?! I'd love to!" he cheered. "Da said he planned to take me someday, but I was never old enough or something. He's kinda busy..." he muttered, remembering that he and his mum were in the store without him. How busy was he to have forgotten his son's birthday...

Kiara smiled though didn't miss his change in mood at the mention of his Dad either. She went and got 4 tickets for the world cup game... 4 in case Horatio wanted to come... or if Tav wanted to bring a firend... it was up to him.

"Tav we will talk to your Da as soon as we see him today okay?" she said softly to him and patted his shoulder.

"Now.. what is your favorite Quidditch team eh?" she asked trying to turn his mind away from how his Father could have forgotten about him...

"Pride of Portree!" Tav beamed with Scottish pride. "They're doing great this year too."
He had ignored her mention of his father and now regretted it. But he wasn't about to give in now...
"Who's your favourite team?" he asked, partially curious and partially guilty.

She didn't hold the fact he avoided her statement against him and merely patted his shoulder again.. he would understand it all soon enough. One thing she confident about at this point was he would be very surprised about the party at home.

Kiara gave a sheepish smile.. of course living in london and hogwarts most of her life she had to go with...

"Puddlemere United..." she said though she laughed slightly afterward.." Hogwarts favorite.."

She then handed him the tickets for him to look at, " Got four.. so you can bring a firend if you want" She said with a smile.

Figures... he thought amused.
"You know they're not bad... not very good. But not bad." he teased, taking the tickets she handed to him. "Wow! Thanks." He had no idea which of his friends he would take.
"Hmm... their mostly muggles. Except Palapus and he's on a holiday to Greece." He thought about Horatio or Esis... he really liked both of them.

"Do you think Esis or Uncle Horatio would like to come?"

Kiara laughed at his remark about her favored Team, "Well thats better then what I hoped" she said laughter still in her voice.

Kiara continued with the smile on her face, "I am sure either with would be tickled pink to go Tav"

She was glad he was ecxited, she was getting ecited her self though about the ever time she would take Tav home and reveal the surprise to him..

"Esis would be 'tickled pink'... Uncle Horatio gets red when he laughs." Tav pointed out, playfully. He was leaning forward inviting Esis... simply because she screamed bloody-murder when her team was losing and with her impressive vocabulary it was hilarious to hear how awful the players were in five languages. Not to mention they shared favourite teams...

Tav threw away his cone wrapper and checked the window to make sure he didn't have any chocolate on his face.

Kiara chuckled "Right you are Tav" she imagined Esis would be a fun person to watch a game with..

"Now my birthday boy, anything else caught your fancy. We need to depart in a hour or so..." she said after wiping her face of any ice cream..

Tav shrugged, reaching up to wipe a spot of ice cream Kiara had missed from her face.
His nose wrinkled and he looked around.
"Why do we need to go in an hour?" instantly he figured she had an appointment and he was interfering.

Kiara chuckled when he wiped some ice cream she had missed, "Thank you Honey"

"I have to drop by the house for a bit, don't worry, all urgant work is taken care of. Promise, the whole day is yours. Though I would enjpy your company when I head for the house" she said.

" Hmmm want to see the pet store? See whats there today? Need to pick up so Cat toys for Lav anyway" she asked.

Her answer lifted him back up and he grinned.
"Okay, sounds great." he loved going go the pet store. His Da hated it; always pulling him past it, muttering on and on about no cats or pets. Usually it amused him, but sometimes he really wished he could get something... even a turtle or a fish.

Kiara continued smiling, "Okay, off to pet store it is then" She walking with him with her one hand on his shoulder.

Entering there were sounds animals everywhere, whiteles, tweets, hisses, meows, barks ect...

As they entered the pet shop, Tav chuckled and made a beeline for the pen with the puppies. He remembered the cute puppy that Edwin had and gently petted the friendly labrador that pushed his head over the edge of the pen wall.
"Aren't they cute..." he murmured, smiling up at Kiara.

Kiara smiled, she always liked droping with the animals, and puppies were always adorable.

"They are aborable Tav" she said lightly petting the puppy on the head. "Arn't you a cutie eh?" she said grinning.

She imagined Ciaran's reaction to letting Tav get a puppy... Not a good Idea... really the man must have been attacked at a petting zoo when he was a child to not like animals at all. Or perhaps she misunderstood the "No more pets" guide line.

Ah well at least she had Lav, her aborable kitty.

The puppy wagged his tail happily at all the attention and Tav wanted nothing more than to pick him up and take him home... But his Da had already said no and he'd learned at a young age to obey his father, even if he disliked what his father wanted or didn't want. It seemed almost ironic that he stood there obeying and yet his Da wasn't there to celebrate his birthday with him.

"Let's go see the kitties." he murmured, taking Kiara's hand and pulling her over to the next pen. They were just as adorable in his eyes and he scooped a black one with white ears into his arms. "Looks like he's got ear muffs on." he chuckled.

Kiara giggled and went with Tav to see the kittens.
She chuckled at his observastions, "It does Tav" she said with a smile and scratched the kitten behind the ear.

" Ooo what a cutie" she said, she was always a cat person. She loved dogs, but she seemed to connect to cats.

"I dare said, your father is gonna have his hands full with both of us being animal lovers."

She sighed, turely hoping Tav understood and wasn't mad for making him think everyone had forgot.

Then Kiara got a idea, which she turely just thought of... when she was alone and in Muggle school as a teen. She volunteered at a animal shelter, being able to take care of and love animals all she wanted but not take them with her. It was the next best thing to adopting one.

"Tav, this is just a idea... but how would you like volunteering for a animal shelter with me? We could go on weekends for afew hours aday and take care of pets without a home. We could take animals and not disobey your Dad. Only if you like the idea I mean.." she sugested as she picked up a kitten which was swating at her sleave.

Tav set the kitten back down and petted another grey one. A cream tabby caught his eye and he pointed it out.
"Hey that one looks that Professor DeLanquar!" he chuckled, finding the idea of getting another cat that looked like her to scare his Da very humorous. "Wouldn't that scare Da to death if we took the cat home..." he laughed.

He thought about Kiara's idea and quickly found he liked it.
"I'd like that." he smiled.

Kiara giggled at the idea of taking the Eglantine look a like home and having her being confused with the real one.

"That would be hilarious Tav, I still remember the look on your dads face when he almost attacked Eglantine while in her cat form. He paled rather quick." she said recalling the walk trhough the castle one night.

Kiara smiled, "wonderful" she said as she kissed the top of his head.

"I am glad I have been meaning to get back to it... I haven't been to a shelter since I was.. oh 18 19 years old. It has been a while" said for she left after she turned away from the muggle world to be with her love at the time and start Auror training.

Tav chuckled but then looked confused.
"Da almost attacked the Professor?" he stated, his voice a mixture of awe and confusion. "Why'd he do that!?" Surely his father was frightened of cats, but he should have had enough sense to know an animagus apart from a normal cat.

Nodding, he smiled.
"Wow! That's a long time ago." he murmured, since it was double the years he'd even been alive.

Kiara smiled, "Well not that I could entirely blame him... it was rather dark in the castle, and there was a bogart nearby that I had the misfortune of meeting.... he almost attacted because he thought she was a threat... but then he noticed it was "only a cat"." she paused bitting back a giggle..

"He said, "its only a bloody Cat", you can imagine his face when I recognised that certain cat.. as Eglantines form" she said in amusement.

Kiara raised a eye brow at Tav, clearly amused by his comment. "Jee thanks Tav" she said fighting to keep a smile off her face that Tav had just called her old..
