Christmas Time December 2031

Christmas 2031. Vaight Manor. Tree decorated. What more can I say?

___24th December___

Ana sighed wearily as she turned to Aiden, standing on the step of Vaight Manor.

"Here we go..."

Aiden gave her a small chuckle and kissed her forehead, "Hopefully it won't be so bad hm?" he said. His arm around her waist he walked with her up the steps.

"Define so bad." Ana muttered, smirking. She knocked sharply and the door opened almost immediately.

"This way please!" Bob, complete with ludicrously awesome red hat he'd discovered, chirped at the new arrivals.

Aiden chuckled, "I don't know never had Christmas at your parents house before" he said amused.

As he went in to the house.

"But then again.. Even your Dad couldn't ruin my mood" he thought over and his excited eyes about the upcoming baby were all that needed to known.

Ana snorted briefly with laughter. "Oh, how you have missed out."

...Nor mine...Not at the moment. But he can try...

Bob showed them through to the living room, now decorated with delicacy, a rather plain christmas tree in the centre.

"Ana. Aiden." Reginald's greetings were civil, but emotionless.

Isabella merely nodded.

"Mum...Dad." Ana replied, smiling with ease.

"I have no don't he will try" thought with a smirk on his face.

Aiden nodded to Reg, "Mr Vaight, Mrs, Vaight Happy Christmas" he said pleasantly, still unable to hide his cheery mood... despite present company.

Isabella nodded curtly, still hurt from the elopement. It would take her a long time to get over it.

Reginald pondered why both seemed so happy...but let it pass.

"Well, sit down." He gestured to the seats.

Ana seated herself on the sofa, still unable to stop smiling.

"So...How are you father, mother?" She asked.

Reginald waved a hand. "We are fine. How are you...both?"

Aiden still smiled, really uncaring now if they were still mad by the elopement. He was still giddy about the news he was to be a father. The only thing that could dampen his mood is if Ana became upset. As long as Ana was happy and Healthy, he would be white as rain.

"Wonderful Sir thank you for asking" he said.. then he thought be may had been laying it on to thick.. but then he couldn't help it. He could say it was the Christmas season

Reginald blinked. ...How odd.

He was beginning to suspect the two newly weds had been taking some form of drug. This happy...no, ecstatic appearance was odd to say the least.

"...Is there any particular reason for this...behaviour?" He asked, eyebrow raised.

Ana laughed. "Being happy, do you mean? Why not?"

"Why not indeed...but why?" He directed the question at Aiden.

Ana glanced at Aiden. Should we tell them? Or leave it til later? ...She couldn't believe she was pregnant. Well, she could believe it...she just couldn't really believe she was going to be a mum...

(( xD hey what is Reg said something stupid, right before Ana told him and made Aiden and Ana mad at him? Which makes them tell them at the last second right before they leave?))

Aiden smiled at Ana "It is up to you Ana" he thought over to her. "Though think they would appreciate being told sooner rather then later"

"Well Sir, we do have some news" he said letting Ana having the honors.

Reginald laughed. "Don't tell me you are going to go and live with muggles and squibs..."

Ana's elated mood was spoiled. Her expression turned sour. "No."

Well he can bloody well wait now. "We've arranged to go on holiday next Christmas to avoid any family scenes. Just me and Aiden..." She left it hanging, adding a silent and a certain addidtion in her mind.

Aiden rolled his eyes, now that was rather stupid of... Reggie to say, leave it to him to spoil a joyous moment.

"Why would we do that sir, we have our own house, of which we are very happy in, not planning on moving out anytime soon I assure you" he said as he wrapped an arm around Ana. He had already arranged to have a room added to the place for the baby.

Though he did like the idea of having there child's first Christmas with just them together as a family.

Reginald smiled, traces of humour gone. "I am sure."

He allowed the conversation to lapse into awkward silence.

Aiden nearly sighed, he hated awkward silences...

"They throw a splendid party Ana.." he thought over her to her sarcastically, though he meant it to be light hearted.

Oh, totally. Ana thought back, equally sarcastic. It was almost tempting to do the awkward turtle...But she managed to resist it.

"Dinner should be ready soon." Isabella interjected in a bored tone.

Aiden nodded, perhaps that would ease things up a bit.

"Thats good....." he mummured.

(Hmmm.... *can't fight e drama bug*, Shale something happen? Like Ana feel Ill or Reggie Says something even more upsetting?))

Ana felt a brief wave of pain pass over her and she winced almost imperceptibly.

Aiden eyes caught the wince on his wife's face, and concern immediately went to his face.

His hand rubbed her shoulder and he murmered to her quietly, " Are you alright?"

Ana nodded briefly. "Yeah...I'm fine."

Reginald noticed this brief exchange, but chose not to comment.

Aiden took her word for it, perhaps he had just been seeing things, but couldn't shake the slightly worried feeling, so his position changed slightly. his arm was up and around her back and gave her a small kiss on her forehead.

He briefly looked at his In laws, merlin this was awkward.... he has no idea what to say really.

Ana sighed.

When the hell was dinner going to be ready?!

As though reading her mind, Bob appeared. "Dinner is ready, master." He bowed briefly to Reginald, who nodded.

"Very good." Reginald smiled. "Shall we go on through?" He gestured to the door.

Aiden nodded, "Yes sir thank you" He said offering his arm Ana. He normally was not so formal.. but the last he wanted was his oh so happy in laws thinking he didn't treat there daughter with manners.

Plus he was happy for the dinner perhaps a break from the awkward silence?.. if he dared to hope.

Ana took Aiden's arm, raising an eyebrow slightly, not visible to her parents.

Reginald's lips twitched in a miniscule smile, and he offered his own arm to Isabella, who accepted it, as though it were normal practice.

Aiden sent over a mental chuckle, " What? seemed like the appropriate think to do.." he thought over before his hand simply stretched to gently hold her hand instead as they walked to the dining room.

Ana hid her smile. Perhaps... Her own mental chuckle echoed across to her husband, and she snuck a glance back at her parents, still walking formally towards the dining room.

Reginald took his seat at the head of the table, Isabella on one side, Ana on the other, with a spare seat next to both.

Bob bowed graciously to all who entered, a click of his fingers moving all chairs out from the table, to save the guests any trouble.
