McConn June 16th 2040 (fixed)

Kiara was on the porch with her daughter in law Kaylie, her 6 month old granddaughter, Rose and 4 year old Grandson Caleb. The kids were out in the yard playing Quidditch, or practicing anyway with David Venice her brother in law, it seemed like a perfect warm summer day.

“She is adorable Kaylie, you and Tav must be so proud” Kiara said with a smile as she happily held her infant granddaughter.

Kaylie beamed and nodded holding Caleb on her lap, she was going to put him down for a nap but he seem quite peaceful with his thumb in his mouth and laying in his gentle mothers arms.

“We are, I swear she has Tav wrapped around her little finger already. Something tells me she will be Daddy’s little girl “ she said quietly with a giggle as she ran her hand through her sons red hair.

Kiara laughed and nodded at the idea, “Sounds like Rossa and Ciaran, Rossa is almost graduated Hogwarts and still Daddy’s little girl. It is really a type of relationship that makes your heart melt” she said as she gently moved her finger across Baby Rose’s cheek.

Kaylie smiled, her mother in law was right, nothing made her smile brighter then seeing Tav with his children he was such a good father. She couldn’t be happier…

Then Kiara heard a series of noises that would make her heart stop…

“Rossa, look out!”

Then a thud..

Then a horrible scream.. And Kiara watched in horror as her daughter hit the grassy ground and didn’t moved…

"Rossa, look out!" Greta looked and gasped as her sister flew through the air, landing with a sickening thud on the grassy yard.

"ROSSA!" she screamed, rushing to her sister's still body. Checking for a pulse, she frantically looked around for her mum and da. Her mother was on the porch with Kaylie and her father was at work.

There was a pulse...

"Please be okay...please be okay..." she muttered, repeating the phrase again and again.

Edan froze on his broom, his mouth falling open as he landed. He stayed back, scared stiff that his sister was hurt badly.

Kiara didn't think she could move fast enough, time seemed to go in slow motion as she handed Rose to Kaylie and made her a mad run to her fallen daughter.

David also dismounted and was casting dianostic spells on the teen as Kiara aproached.

"Rossa! Rossa honey. please open your eyes honey" Kiara said as she knelt next to her daughter across from Greta. David knelt down next to Kiara and whispered.
"Her left arm is broken, and she had bad concusion"

Rossa didn't reasond to her sisters or mothers pleds as she lay on the ground. A big purple burise and bump was forming on her head.

Kiara nodded to David looking extremely worried to her daughter... she mutter a spell to slint Rossa's broken arm and conjured a stretcher, she leviated Rossa on to it.
Her heart was beating feriously and her eyes held back unshed tears, she needed to remain calm... if anything else she couldn't panic.

Inside she need to get her daughter inside...

"David go to the house quickly, find a way to contact Ciaran, tell him... tell him Rossa has been hurt" she said as she leviated Rossa's still unmoving form on the stretcher and started moving to the house.

Kaylie was holding a now wailing Rose and confused Caleb by the hand. "Is there anything I can do?" she asked.

"No Kaylie, just.. just take care of them" she said her mind still focusing on Rossa, taking care of that head injury and making sure she was alright.

David ran to the floo to call the Auror department at the ministry to inform Ciaran McConn that his Daughter had been in a accident and was injured.

Greta followed after her sister and mother.
"She's going to be okay." she stated, her mouth set in a obstinate expression. If anything... no, she wasn't even going to think about possible problems. Rossa was strong and stubborn, this was going to be something she'd bounce right back from... it had to be.

"You honestly need ta start taking some sugar with that." Ciaran chuckled, handing a black unsweetened cup of coffee to his son. Tav made a funny face.
"Sugar? What's that?" he joked, sipping the dark liquid. "Ah, hit the spot."

"SIR!" Ciaran turned to find one of the trainees rushing toward him. "Your daughter is hurt." the young man huffed out, breathing heavily. The blood drained from the captain as he set his cup down and ran for the floo. Which daughter? How badly? He had a hundred questions, but only one course of action... get to her side as quickly as possible.

Ciaran flew through the fireplace, nearly knocking poor David over and in his haste forgetting to apologize.
"Where is she?"

Kiara quickly ran into the house with Rossa floating not far behind, "I hope so Greta, dear Merlin..." she took a breath and summoned a medical kit, then transfigured the couch in to a bed where she set Rossa down.

She took out a healing potion and she cast a spell to make her daughter swallow it with out choaking. Then she took out a healing salve and gently applied it to Rossa's head injury. She was nervous, as there was little she could do about the internal brain injury...

She placed a bandage around her head and placed a cooling charm on it.

Gently she rubbed Rossa's cheek, "You can pull through this Rossabell.... I know can.. please honey open your eyes.." she whispered as she sat at her daughter bedside.

David quickly moved out of the way of the worried father as he said "Kiara has Rossa in the living room"

Ciaran hurried to reach Rossa's side in the living room and carefully went down on one knee beside his daughter.
Noting her eyes being closed and the bandage, he looked from her still body to Kiara.
"What happened?" he asked softly, his eyes filling with tears at the very thought and sight of his little girl hurt...unable to help her.

"We were playing and she got hit with bludger..." Greta murmured, standing near her sister's feet.

Kiara breathed out when Ciaran came into the room, she wasn't sure what to tell him..

"One second she was fine...the next I heard her scream... and saw her fall off her broom" she said more or less whispering.

" I have healed all that I can of her injuries... that bump on her head has me...." she pasued, if she said it she would start crying...

"All we can do is wait for her to wake up" she said, her eyes never leaving Rossa's face as if begging her for her eyes to open...

Rossa however didn't move or show any sign of wake as of yet.

Ciaran took what he had been told in... slowly. A bludger to the head... his closed his eyes, wrapping an arm around Kiara.
"She'll be fine... darlin." he murmured, wishing he could convince himself of the same thing he was trying desperately to convince his wife of.
Greta nodded, going to her Mum's other side.
"Rossa's tough, Mum..." she argued, not softening her voice as her father had. She wanted her sister to hear her... to wake up and smile, rubbing her head and joking about wondering where was the train wreck that had hit her... that's all she wanted.

You have to wake up, Rossa... You just have too... Greta prayed, tears welling up in her dark eyes.

Kiara wrapped an arm around Greta and kissed her forehead, "I know she is honey... I know.." she said with a sniff.

She turned her teary gaze to Rossa, she was strong, she would be okay..

Then Rossa's hand moved and her eyes fluttered opened...

"Where? Where am I?...." she asked as she let out a groan and rubbed her head, she attempted to sit up.. however failed miserably.

Usually Greta would have pulled back from her mother's embrace. She wasn't a touchy feely person... But this was different and she allowed the contact, taking comfort and hoping to give some in return.
"She moved." she gasped, happily.

Ciaran gently kept Ross from sitting up, chuckling softly at her stubborn nature, so much like Kiara. He loved her so much.
"Ya're with ya mum and da, Rossa." he explained. "Ya got hit, but yar gonna be good, aye."

Rossa blinked, looking very... confused, and she soon realized this confusion was very frightening...

Not being able to think of anything else she could ask that would make sense she asked.

"Who are you?"

Kiara paled, that wasn't the question she was wanting to hear from her own daughter.

"Rossa.. Sweetheart its us.. Mum, Dad, and Greta.. David and Edan are here to.." Kiara explained fearly.

However Rossa still looked lost.

"But.. I don't know you." she said tears of fright coming to her green eyes.

Greta's mouth fell open.
"What's she mean?" she demanded. Of course Rossa knew who they were... they were her family.
Ciaran lifted a hand to hush his daughter.
"It's okay, love." he murmured, gently soothing Rossa's hair. "Ya've had an accident, is all ya can't be remembering. Don't be scared." It tore at his heart to see her so frightened...

"Edan." he looked up to find his son. "Go get yar grandmother." The first person that came to mind with a great deal of experience with memory problems was Kiara's mother. Maybe she'd be able to help. He looked at Kiara, hoping she would agree with him.

Rossa's stiffened at the girl's across form her yell and the mans touch of her.. her hand touched her bandaged head. he seemed to be telling the truth.. but she still felt scared these people obviously knew her, but she didn't know them.. It all seemed so.. strange.. scary.

A tear rolled down her cheek, Who was she anyway?

Sniffing she asked a bizare question she was sure, "Whats my name? and whats yours?" she asked, she gathered they were her parents but... how could one call someone Mum and Dad if they were strangers?

Kiara swallowed and nodded in agreement with Ciaran, if anyone could help it was Eglantine.

She looked sadly at Rossa, "Your name is Rossalyn McConn, our eldest daughter ... and.." she haulted, it sounded so awkward having Rossa call her and Ciaran by there first names, she was sure she could handle it.

Greta just gaped at her sister, this was like a bad nightmare... not something that was ever suppose to happen.

Allowing Kiara to give Rossa her name, Ciaran slowly gathered his wits about him and calmed himself, it had to be temporary... her memory would start coming back; at least that's what he told himself... he wasn't sure it was temporary. Not sure at all.

"I'm Ciaran McConn and she's Kiara McConn... we're yar parents, love. Greta is yar sister." he motioned toward the stiff teenager staring at them.

Edan returned from his brief trip to the McKevin residence.
"Grandmama isn't home... he muttered, fear blazing in his eyes. "Ewan said she went to see someone."

Rossa nodded and swallowed, she once again tried to sit up, wanting to look around the room and take in her surroundings.. and hopefully feel less disorianted.

She slowly pulled herself up and groaned a her head pounded, and the room spun for a moment, but she ignored it...

She bit her lip how upset everyone seemed to be.. she whipped away her tears "I am sorry.." she said quietly..

It took all of kiara's will power not to sob at Rossa's meek voice, "No Honey... Don't be sorry, its not your fault.... Edan try Grandpapa, see if he knows where she is. or maybe he could help.. either way. He should know what happened." Kiara siad.

Turning back to Rossa she asked, "How do you feel honey? Do you need anything"

Rossa looked down bashful... "Well my head hurts" she muttered.

Swallowing thickly at his daughter's tears and apology, Ciaran found himself repeating Kiara's pleading for Rossa to not be sorry. It was not her fault... not in the least.

Edan nodded, running back to the floo network.
Greta figured more than Rossa's head hurt... she couldn't imagine how much pain her sister was in, both physically and mentally... not to mention emotionally.

Ciaran ran to the kitchen to fetch a pain relieving potion they kept there for emergencies.
"Don't you remember anything?" Greta asked softly, her large eyes filing with tears.

Rossa's eyes filled and flowed with tears at her sisters question, as she meekly shook her head. "I am sorry... I.. I am trying" she said and honest she was.. she couldn't remember anything personal, she could recall the date but nothing of her personal memories it was all in black.

When Ciaran came back with the potion she sipped it the pounding in her head finally dulling.

" Thanks" she said quietly, silently wishing she could recall something.. before waking up.

"I really wish I could recall something" she said it was a discondorting not knowing who one self is.

Greta sighed, deciding to shut up. Now was not the time to start panicking or yelling or doing anything that she felt like doing... running happened to be high on the list, but she kept herself there at Rossa's feet.

"Yar welcome." Ciaran murmured, biting his lip. "Maybe it'll all be coming back?" he pondered aloud.

Rossa sniffed and nodded, she didn't like being a nobody.
"I hope so.." she solumly..

Beagan entered from up the stairs, he had been in his room playing a vidoe game.

"What going on? your hurt Rossa? What happened?" he asked when he noticed the bandage on his sisters head.

Rossa once again looked lost so Kiara answered. "She had quite a nasty bump on the head Beagan, shes lost her memory. Rossa, this is your younger brother Beagan" Kiara said gently as the 12 year old came up beside his sister.

"Wow" was all that came out of Beagans mouth as he looked at his older sister.. he had never seen her look so... lost before.

Then Caleb ran in to the room Dispite Kaylie's attempt to keep him away.

"Auntie Rossa, you gonna be okay right?" the red headed four year old asked as he climed beside her.

Rossa blinked at at the little boy, "I.. I don't know, I hope so" she muttered as she looked around the room, all those there seemed to really love her. She got the sense she was hurting them with her inability to remember. She found she really didn't like the idea of them being hurt because of her..

Caleb just seemed to sigh and then he hugged his aunt, "me to" he simply said..

Kaylie looked about to say something to her son, but stopped when slowly Rossa hugged him back.

Noticing her brother's entry, Greta decided to slip away... to get a breath of fresh air. She'd be back as soon as she gathered her wits about her.

Ciaran sighed softly when Beagan appeared out of nowhere followed closely by Caleb and Kaylie. Rossa needed comfort, a way to feel she belonged somehow to their now unfamiliar family. Young children sometimes crossed the border of family and were able to make welcome even the stranger. It brought a smile to his face when she hugged him back. Maybe she was remembering something... or was simply taking comfort.

Blinking back his tears, he gently patted Kiara's arm.
"She's gonna be all right, love." he murmured, half to himself and half to Kiara.

Running back, Edan gasped against the couch.
"I...I...I got her." he finally spewed out, turning his head to be sure he hadn't left his grandmother behind in his haste.
Eglantine slowly approached Rossa and the rest of the family. She looked as if she'd just been woken up, with her hair thrown hastily into a thick braid and her robes slightly rumpled. Nevertheless she had come as quickly as possible.

"How is she?" she asked, giving Rossa a small smile. At the moment her vision was so blurry, from her forgetting her glasses, that all she could make out was Caleb's bright red hair and Rossa's blonde halo.

Rossa felt calmed by the 4 year olds comfort, she didn't remember him, yet perhaps a shadow of the feelings was there... It was hard to discribe.

Kiara held on to Ciaran as she nodded, wanting to believe he was right, he had to be.. She kissed the side of his head. "I know she will" she said quietly to him. She had to be strong this time. Rossa was his little girl, they had always been tight.. she would bet her life this was tearing him apart seeing her like this.

Then she looked up quickly when Edan ran into the room all out of breath. "Well done Fire" she said approving of his haste for the situation.

Kiara wasn't sure how to answer Eglantines question, she looked at her daughter who was still embraced with Caleb.

Rossa sighed, her eyes were clouded with tears.., how was she?... She was no one a noboby with no identity... She was a shell.. taking up space.

"I am here.... whoever I am" she whispered. "I am simply being"

Ciaran sighed, looking from Kiara to Eglantine, hoping she may be able to help, but suddenly doubting it by her appearance. Edan beamed with pride at his heroic deed and leaned against the wall, taking deep breaths as he calmed himself.

Kneeling down beside Rossa, Eglantine carefully took her hands in hers, hoping Rossa wouldn't mind that they were cold and shaking slightly.
"Rossa, I am your grandmother. Do you remember anything at all about yourself?" She repeated the question in German and then Gaelic, since language was sometimes a border for memory.

Rossa bit her lip and tried to explain, and could understand the languages spoken to her she didn't remember learning them..

"Its hard to explain.. I know I am 17 years old but don't remember any of my birthdays, I know I am a squirrel animagus, but can't recall learning to be one.. I know facts, but no personal memories behind them" she explained.

Caleb simply sat beside his aunt for a few moments longer before getting up and going over to his Grandfather.

"Auntie Rossa will be fine Grandpa" he simply said as he sat beside him.

Kiara smiled at him, starting to believe truely what all of them prayed.

Eglantine smiled. "That is a good place to start." she assured the young woman. "You do not have to remember anything right away. We'll start slowly..." Her own memory of Rossa slowly helping her bring back her own memories nearly brought tears to her eyes. Her granddaughter should not have to go through the same confusion and pain.

Smiling, Ciaran hugged Caleb.
"Aye, lad. I know." he ruffled the boy's hair, glad the child seemed to think so. Oh to have the sweet faith of a four year old...

Rossa nodded "Okay" she said with a sigh.
"What do we do to help memories come back?" she asked, she wanted to whatever it took... she didn't want to be a nobody.

Kiara could hear the determination in Rossa's voice., Her little Rossa was still there, just a little lost.

She hugged Ciaran and Caleb, hope once again in her eyes.

Kaylie breathed a sigh of relief as she held baby Rose.

Little Rose let out a squeal and reached out to the people in front of her.

Rossa looked at her Baby niece, the infant struck something, something small, christamas.. and a baby..

"Christmas Rose" she muttered.. yet she wasn't sure why that phrase was important.
