Vaight Cottage ~June 13, 2025~

Darien relased Diana and smiled. "Have fun. Don't heal too many sick people-leave some for the other Healers."

"I will." Diana chuckled. "Goodbye, Love." She said not knowing how right she was.

"Goodbye..."

Darien waved a final time.

And with that Diana left her husband, not knowing he was going to do the same thing, except for real.

Darien waited five minutes.

Then he wrote the note.

He sealed it and placed it on Diana's pillow.

Heading to the wardrobe, he packed mechanically.

Waving his wand, his bags sealed themselves, and floated down the stairs.

Glancing once more round the familiar room, Darien allowed himself a tear. Wiping it away with a sleeve, he silently left the room, shutting the door behind him.

He waved his wand and the house became spotless and organised.

Thank god for magic...

Sighing, he threw Floo powder into the fire, grabbed his bags, and sighed.

...he just hoped Diana would understand.

Everything he was doing, was for her.

"Vaight Manor."

In a puff of green smoke, it was as though Darien Vaight had never been there. The only thing left untouched was the note on Diana's pillow...((When she gets back/opens it I'll post what it says ))

Eight hours later...

It was still rainning, in fact, harder now.

Diana searched for her keys in her purse. She found it finally and opened the door.

"I'm home." Diana called out. She took of her coat, and her shoes.

She wandered in. "Darien?"

No answer.

"Darien?" She was getting worried now. "Are you home?"

She headed to their bedroom, hoping to find him there.

But the only person that greeted her the cat.

"Hey Cassie," She bent over and picked up the cat. "Do you know if Darien's..."

The words died in here throat as she saw a letter on the pillow.

She put Cassie down and took the letter.

She had a horrible feeling at the pit of her stomach as she opened the letter and read....

The letter dropped as she rushed to Darien's wardrobe.

No.

It was empty. She rushed to the shelves, the bathroom.

Empty, empty, empty.

She searched the floor for the letter, she needed to read it again to make sure. But her eyes were blurry, she couldn't read it properly.

No he couldn't, he wouldn't....

She looked for the bags, they were gone too. She started choking, losing a battle with her tears. She ran down the stairs. His shoes, they were gone. Everything was gone. He was gone.

No... No... No...!

She searched every knook, every corner for anything, anything that would tell her what she'd just read was a lie. That it was some cruel joke. She was turning their house upside down.

It made sense. Her mind told her. That's why he was acting so off lately. He'd been planning to... leave her...

Nothing. Nothing. Every where she looked, it just cemented the fact. Darien Vaight had just left her.

She collapsed on the middle of the couch and let the tears flow.

Outside, the rain kept on falling.
