Vaight Cottage ~December 12, 2032~ Fixed Future

Basically Vaight Cottage in 2032.


Diana sat down on the couch in the living room, ready to read a book.

"Mum! Mum! Mum!" Darius bounced into the room. "Look! Look!"

He held out two clasped hands, face lit up with excitement! "Daddy left it on my table!"

He bounced again, trying to distract his mother from her book. "Guess what it is!"

Diana sighed chuckling and closed the book in her hands. "What is it?"

Darius beamed and opened his hands.

A tiny model broom flew out and soared around the room. The seven-year-old clapped his hands.

"See! It really flies!"

Darius looked just adorable watching his broom zoom across the room. She'd have to thank Darien later for him. Though, he really should spoil him like that.

"Come here you," Diana said wrapping her arms around him. "Was that wrapped? You didn't open a Christmas present early did you?"

Darius shook his head, and hugged his mother back.

"It wasn't, honest! It was just there, and then I poked it and it flew around!"

"I had to jump on the bed to catch it though..." He paused, afraid of a telling-off.

Amy appeared at the front door with Nick and Aurora, she sighed and knocked.

Perhaps she was a little nervous what would happen if the did find something wrong with her.

"Diana? you home?" she asked.

"Mum! Who do you think it is?" Darius leapt up and raced towards the front door.

Diana laughed at Darius. "Go open it."

"Yay!" Darius bounded to the door and turned the handle...with some difficulty.

"HI!" He half-shouted at the people standing in the doorway. He stepped to one side to let them in, still grinning.

Amy smiled, "Hello there Darius, Is it alright it we come in?" she asked.

Darius beamed.

"Yup! I got to open the door!" He proudly proclaimed, as though there was some doubt about this fact.

Aurora, who was being carried by her father, exclaimed, "Hi Darius!"

"Daddy, put me down." Aurora commanded. Nicolas obliged.

Diana went after her son, to her surprise there were more than one visitor.

"Amy, Nick, Aurora," She greeted. "What are you all doing here?"

Amy smiled slightly, and grasped Nicks hand, giving it a slight squeeze.

"I was wondering if I could talk to you about something Diana...." she said hesitantly looking down.

If Nick was observant enough he might have been able to feel Amy's hand shake slightly.

Nicolas squeezed her hand back in comfort.

"Sorry to barge in on you like this. But she's been having spells lately. Lots of them." Nicolas told Diana. "I've only convinced her to come here now since she doesn't want to go to an actual healer."

Diana raised her eyebrow at Nicolas at the term, 'Actual healer.' "Thanks Nicolas, I really appreciate that."

"No I mean..." Nicolas squirmed, "You know what I mean."

"Don't strain yourself now." Diana countered.

Already bored by all this talk, Aurora grabbed Darius' hand, "Let's go upstairs and play." She practically dragged him up.

"So just an informal check up then?" Diana asked.

Amy nodded with a sigh, "Yes, just to get it over with and give my worrywart here piece mind." she said. She felt fine now, well not great, but not as bad as she did earlier.

Diana nodded. "Alright."

"Nick, you can go now." Diana said.

"What? But...!" Nicolas protested.

"But what?" Diana mocked. "It's not like your going to help me or anything, you'll just be in the way."

Seeing that he wouldn't win with Diana, he turned to his wife.

"Amy!" Nicolas pleaded with her. "You don't want me to go do you?"

Amy hugged Nick and smiled.

"I will be fine Amor, and Diana doesn't need you breathing down her neck during my check up. I will let you know how it went after I promise." she said as she kissed him.

"I love you" she whispered in his ear. " Now go home, the faster you go the faster I will be done."

Nicolas kissed her back and then glared at Diana.

She smiled at him sweetly.

He rolled his eyes.

"Please, Darien's coming home soon, if you're here, you'll just pick a fight with him." Diana said.

"No I won't. Your husband picks fights with me. Not the other way around."

"Uh uh." Diana said in a disbelieveing tone. "And I'm the Queen of Spain."

Diana opened the door for him. "Bye Nick."

"I hate you." He said to Diana.

"I love you," He said to Amy.

And with that he left.

Diana closed the door behind him.

"Goody, so can you tell me what you've been feeling lately?"

Amy sighed in a way she wished Nick could have stayed, but then she didn't, "Nausea, dizziness, and Tiredness. Been off and on for a few days now.. but today was worse then the others..," she said not meeting Diana's eyes.

Diana nodded pensively. Her wand was at her hand.

"I think..." Diana paused. "I think I may know what's up but I'm just going to do a quick spell to make sure."

She swirlled her wand around Amy's body, a thin bluish line appeared at the tip of her wand and vanished.

"Are you hungry?" Diana asked randomly.

Amy blinked at the question, she figured she should be since she hadn't eaten much at breakfast as she hadn't felt well. Then she throw up what little food she had eaten.

"I don't feel hungry at the moment, no... still shaking off the effects from earlier." she said.

The thought of food wasn't all that appealing at the moment either, as she still felt a bit queezy.

Again Diana nodded.

"Only asked coz we've got some brownies. Well no, we've a lot. We kinda over baked."

"Hmm... so nausea, dizziness, and tiredness..." She stopped her wand work. "Any food cravings?"

Amy looked at Diana, "Cravings?... if you count having banana pancakes for dinner some nights.. that about it"

",..... wait a minute wow! you think I am pregnant don't you?" she asked in shock.

"Yeah, actually I do." Diana said not able to keep a grin. "I'm surprised you haven't suspected it yourself."
