Unknown Spare Room ((Where Armando Keeps a Vampire in Captivity))

Calista raised an eyebrow.

Oh...he was talking in his sleep. She returned her gaze to the balcony.

But she couldn't help wondering who he was apologising to, and why.

"I have to..." Armando continued on. "Keep you here..."

"You're supposed..." He slurred. "To be dead."

Calista frowned.

Either he was talking to her...Or he imprisoned vampires on a regular basis.

...She was supposed to be dead?!

"What do you mean?"

She sat down on the bed beside him.

"I was..." Armando rambled on. "Supposed to kill you..."

"But I couldn't..."

"But I told him, I told the others... that I did... so they wouldn't hunt you... so you'd be safe..."

Calista was confused.

"You...Told them that?"

She leaned nearer, her voice quieter.

"...Why?"

And for some reason, she was holding her breath.

"So... you'd be safe..." He said with a sigh... still unconscious.

"Why...why does that matter to you?"

Calista was puzzled.

But he'd already dozed off. Silenced for the time being...

Calista sighed and felt almost guilty. She shouldn't have asked him questions when he was unconscious. She just wanted answers.

Maybe you should figure out your emotions first.

Calista stood up and resumed her position by the balcony, this time sitting cross-legged on the carpet.
She swept her hair out of her face and glanced at her now normal-coloured arm.

His blood...

A couple of hours past and the first thing Armando realized when he woke up was... he wasn't in his bed. The second thing he noticed was... he knew which bed it was. He jumped up almost suddenly.

Calista glanced over and sighed.

She pushed him back down onto the bed, forcibly. "What part of do nothing is too complex? Don't answer that."

She sped over, grabbed the tray and brought it to the Slayer. "Now eat. You lost a load of blood..." She grinned awkwardly. "Sorry about that."

He looked at her silent for a second then he refused the food set before him.

"No," found his voice to be slightly raspy. "I've... I've food..." He started to get up from the bed. It was no easy task but he managed. "Outside."

Calista glared. "Yes, and what exactly are you going to do if you faint or have some weird issue out there? I can't go through the door, brainiac."

She folded her arms. "You can barely even walk."

Armando blinked. She was right. He found his wand on the desk not far from him and took it. He then muttered a few words, and pointed to the door.

"You can go out now."

Apparently he still wasn't thinking straight.

"...Fine." Calista sighed.

"But I still don't think you should we walking around."

He looked at his arm and healed it with his wand.

"Why do you care?"

"Why did you tell them I was dead?" Calista retorted, genuinely intrigued.

"Tell who you were dead?" Armando said distracted. He touched his arm where his wound used to be. Magic always fasinated him.

"The "others"" Calista quoted.
"Apparently you told your buddies I was dead so they wouldn't hunt me...So I'd be "safe"..."

She watched him for any reaction.

Armando narrowed his gaze. How did she know?

"I told them that so I wouldn't get into trouble, obviously." Armando said stoically. Well it wasn't the complete truth of it. Not that he would admit anyway.

"That's not what you said."

Calista was starting to enjoy this questioning. He clearly didn't remember...

Armando scowled. What did he say?

He turned his head to the side, which turn out to be a big mistake on his part as the world started to spin. He sat back on the bed to stabilize his head.

"And this is why I said not to move." Calista sighed.

She smirked slightly. "How many fingers am I holding up?" She held up three fingers...and a thumb.

Armando shook his head. Again big mistake. Note to self: don't move head.

Armando pushed her hand away and muttered, he just needed something to drink.

"Sure you do. Stop moving."

Calista sighed and reached for a cup of water. She handed it to him. "Drink then."
