Palaver Park ((December 2027))

Kiara smiled and hugged him for a moment, "Your are very welcome Honey" she sad ruffling his hair.

"Come lets go and join Daddy and your sister eh? while your uncle and grandparents are talking" she said still holding on to him.

Edan hugged her tightly again, before jumping down from his mama's lap, taking her hand. "Can we get ice cream?" he asked, injury forgotten and the cold nipping at his face forgotten as well.

Eglantine knew her son had become very good at hiding his thoughts from her. Ever since she had told him about their bond, both mental and physical, he had worked extremely hard to develop occlumency shields that would prevent her from seeing his daily thoughts. But only 12 years old, his shields were easily shoved aside by his mother as she asserted their bond through Excessum.

She only did so when she thought she had no other choice. As a child, Edwin had been very adventurous often wandering off to hide and play in somewhat forbidden areas. She had not used the bond very often then, since she was frightened of the idea of harming his developing mind. But more research had made it clear to her that Edwin was not harmed by her checking on him.

Relieved that it was settled, after a brief walk through his mind, Eglantine settled back on the table bench and laid her trembling hand on her swollen stomach. She could feel the two babies within her, could hear their breathing and their little heart's beating in a steady rhythm. It was both calming and terrifying to hold their lives within her. Having already lost Horatio and her's first child, she knew it was more important than anything else that these two survive.

Kiara laughed, as she rose and held his hand, "You and your grandfather darling, are the only ones who will eat ice cream in the middle of winter" she said leaning over to tickle him beifly in the side.

"It is almost lunch time, but if you behave I will see what I can about getting you some Ice cream. Do we have a deal?" she she asked. It was true she probably spoiled her children to much, and let them get away with alot to... She would be the first to admit it. However she did her best to make sure they were not spoilded brats. If they wanted something they didn't need they would need to earn it so to speak.

When she saw Eglantine return to the table she breathed hopeing despereatly everything was alright. She worried deeply for her mothers health, and the effect to unborn babies had on her. Her health wasn't the best.... it was hers and everyones fear that Eglantine or the twins wouldn't survive the ordeal... She prayed to Merlin very night that another magical miracle happend again to Eglantine.

But with that they walked towards her wonderful husband and daughter hand in hand.

Edan nodded. "Yeah! A deal! A deal!" he cheered.

Edwin and Horatio rose from their bench and walked back to the table, both quiet but nonetheless happier than when they had left. Looking very contrite, Edwin left Horatio's side and went up to his mama.
"I'm sorry." he muttered, hoping she would forgive him. Eglantine carefully lifted her hands to take Edwin's in hers.
"I forgive you, pilz." she whispered.

Kiara laughed and ruffled Edan's hair,"Thats good"

Rossa smiled once she saw her mother and brother come towards them, "Yay, Mommy!" she cheered.

Kiara smiled down at her daughter placing her hand on her should and looked at Ciaran.

"From the apologise going on from the picnick table I would say whatever was said has been forgiven" she said quietly and relieved the tense feel to the place.

"And all injuries have been treated and forgotten as well" she said quietly to her husband, as she motioned to Edan with a smile...

"I would say it almost lunch time what do you think?" she asked.

Ciaran nodded, taking Edan's hand to stop the boy from running ahead of his family. His other hand stayed wrapped around Rossa's.
"That is lovely to hear, Ara." he nodded. Smiling he glanced back toward the table. "I'd be agreeing ta that, love." Scooping up both Edan and Rossa he turned back for the table.
"And what's this I was hearing about ice cream?"

Kiara laughed, "I don't know, want to have ice cream all of a sudden" she shrugged her shoulders in amusment.

"Only in this family will you even go to the park for a picnic and want Ice cream in the middle of winter" she said with a smile as she hand ruffled Edans hair again, as they walked back to the table.

Horatio chuckled, seating himself at the table. "Only in this family, my dear! Something to be terribly proud of." Edan nodded his head in agreement and sat happily waiting for his food. Edwin ruffled his hair as he sat behind him and Edan's smile claimed all was forgiven.

Kiara laughed again as she pulled out food for her children.

"That I most certainly am Horatio-papa, couldn't be more.." she said as she placed a juice box and the desiered sandwiches in fornt of her children and Edwin. Then she pulled out the thermus and conjured a bowl the tea bags and hot chocolate for the adults.

She had also noticed Eglantine had not told her what she wanted to eat, so before they had left she slipped a container of Sardines into the basket. She pulled it out and placed it infornt of Eglantine along with everyone else's and then finally hers, A chicken salad sandwich.

"There I hope I remembered everyones order right" she said as she sat down.

Edan dug into his sandwich, happily munching away. While not as starving as his nephew, Edwin seemed to be enjoying his as well.

"Of course ya did, Ara." Ciaran assured her, taking a bite of his sandwich. "Good one to." Horatio nodded from the midst of his own lunch.

Kiara smiled, "Good" then she looked at Eglantine.

"Are the Sardines alright Eglantine? I didn't want yours to be forgotton" she said before taking a bit of her own, But her eyes remained on Eglantine.

Eglantine nodded, handing the sardine's can to Horatio for him to open for her. He cringed as the smell reached his nostrils and quickly handed the can back.
"How can you eat that, Grandmama?" Edan asked, pinching his nose.

Kiara laughed "Edan... no one is pintching their nose at yours... now you eat and let you grandmother eat hers in peace" she said, really he needed to learn tacked.

"After lunch what you guys plan to do next?" she asked.

"A snow man!" Rossa cheered.

Horatio winked at Edan, obviously agreeing with him.
"A snow man sounds great!" Edwin piped up. "We can have a carrot for the nose and use goose-" he never finished as Eglantine cleared her throat. Horatio chuckled.
"Stones would be better, Edwin." Horatio suggested. Ciaran laughed, taking another bite.

Kiara sighed but kept her amused look on her face, "A snow man it is then" she said with a chuckle as she conjured a cup and filled it with the water fro the thermus. Concenting on the water she made it hot and then picked up a tea bag on put it in.

She kept her hands wrapped around the cup savering its heat. Heating charms would never be as good a old fashion heat, and her hands were cold.

She then truned to look at her two children, "When you two done your sandwiches you can have your cookie for desert." then she turned to Edwin.

"You can have some of course as well Edwin, if Mama says it is alright" she said her glaze goint to Eglantine.

Edwin and Edan both finished their sandwiches in a hurry after Kiara's announcement and quickly two pairs of eyes bored into Eglantine each begging for Edwin.
Eglantine nodded slowly, her conjured fork still playing with her sardines.

"How about me?" Horatio asked Eglantine. A rather annoyed glare answered him and he chuckled, leaning to his side to kiss her temple.

Kiara chuckled and fished out the cookies, they were fare in size and they all three children got 2 each.

'Thanks Mommy" Rossa said taking a bite of one of hers.

"You are welcome Sweet heart," Kiara said.

Kiara then set the cookis in the middle of the tables, the were 12 or so left.

"You are welcome to have some if you want Horatio" Kiara said sipping her tea.

She did notice Eglantine Playing with her food, but for the moment said nothing.

"Thank you, my dear." Horatio nodded, leaning across the table to take a single cookie. He would no doubt take another not long after...

"So... Eglantine and I were wondering how you thought about Edwin staying with you for a week or so in June. I know it is several months away, but it is always nice to plan these things." Horatio nodded in agreement with himself and finished his cookie.

Kiara nodded in understanding immediately, June would be when Eglantine gave birth to the twins and their wedding anniversary, of course.

"Of course, I don't see any reason why not? School year will just be ending, and I will be home more often" she said.

She looked to Ciaran, "What do you say dear? Think we can survive a whole week with my little brother?" she asked with a wink that clear said she was joking.

Ciaran chuckled. Even after almost 9 years of marriage, it still felt odd to refer to Edwin as Kiara's little brother...

"I'm sure Edan can handle him, no doubt worse of worse. Ya can be locking em up." He winked at Edwin who shook his head.

"That is no way to treat your brother-in-law!" Edwin protested, laughing.

Kiara rolled her eyes, and laughed, she ruffled Edwins hair, "I think that can be arranged Edwin" she said still in a joking manner.

Then she turned to Eglantine and Horatio all joking as side, "It won't be a problem, he is always welcome, you know that" she said with a nod and took a drink of tea.

Horatio smiled. "I am glad to hear that. Just making sure you didn't have plans then or something."

Smiling, Eglantine looked up from her untouched fish. "As if that would bother you, darling."

He chuckled. "Possibly not, love."

Kiara chuckled, "Well not at the moment anyway, we didn't have any plans. I will be sure our calander is clear by then" she said.

Rossa had finshed one cookie and decided she would save the other one for later, and put it in her pocket.

"Can we start the snow man now?" she asked from her seat.

Edwin rose from the table grabbing a second cookie and wolfing it down.
"I'll make it with you, Rossa." he offered, since Edan was still eating.

He went over to the snow and began packing the fluffy frozen liquid into a ball. "You make the head, Rossa. I'm bigger so I'll make the big ones. Okay?"

Horatio had already conjured a hat and offered his pipe for the snowman.

Rossa smiled jumped form her seat "Yay! Thank you Uncle Edwin!" she she said happily.

She ran over and started making a snowball.... and rolled it in the snow making it bigger and bigger unill it was a head size. It was plenty big enough her to carry ove to where Edwin was with the other snow man parts was.

Kiara watched with laughter in her eyes, "little dears " she whispered. before turning back to the others. Still saw Eglantine and untouched food.

"Eglantine, I can go back to the house and get you something else if you want" she offered. Thinking maybe they twins changed Eglantines tasts. "You should ear something"...
