May I Have this dance?

"They will love you, Ara. As I do." He assured her, smiling softly. "And that'll be a good idea, to be meeting me parents before deciding on a date. Ya so thoughtful." He turned his head as he watched two students kiss and then one of them run out... rather odd, he thought.

She sighed "If you say so Love" she said with a smile.

"I hope you are right... umm What are they like?" she asked. Perhaps if she got an idea what they were like she would be so nervous about it.

Then Kiara followed his gaze and noticed the students, "Oh no... that can't be good" she murmured with a sigh.

Ciaran chuckled. "Ever anxious...Ara." he jested. "Me father is a fisherman; muggle and kind. He's more quiet like and says what he needs more than what he wants. Me mother is friendly and enjoys to talk ya ear off."

Kiara smiled, "They sound really nice... I guess I know where Tav gets his outgoing nature from hmm?" she said with a laugh.

"Oh..Have you asked them yet? about Christmas?" she asked curiously.

He nodded. "Me letter ta them asked if I could bring me lovely fiance to meet them sometime. And they will be replying soon enough, love. Do you like the idea of me taking me uncle as well?" That would mean Horatio, Eglantine, Edwin, and Tav, and he was not certain whether or not Kiara wanted everyone there.

Kiara beamed "That sounds lovely my dear, Perfect, thank you" she said happily as she hugged Ciaran, and kissed him as well. She had wanted to invite them but it wouldn't have been exactly proper as she would have been a guest to.

"Oh I love you!" she said her eyes sparkling.

"Ya be welcome, me love." He twirled her around and pressed his mouth against hers when she returned to stand in front of him. The kiss grew into a passionate one and he sighed contently. Oh how he loved her.

"And how I return ya love," his own eyes twinkled with bliss.

Kiara sighed with a smile on her face, it had been so long since she felt like this.

"I know" she whispered she said with a smile.

"Oh I got something for Tav for Christmas, I just wanted to make sure you were alright with it?.... I made him a temporary practice wand for spells... he mentioned he wanted to be the youngest auror captain... I thought a little extra practice would come in handy? is that alright? or am I over stepping something?" she asked a bit unsure of her gift choice.

Wands, practice wands or not, were relatively hard to craft, she didn't want to make one only to fine out the person a made it for was not allowed to use it.

She did of course have something in mind for the love of her life, but didn't want to give any clues for that.

Ciaran chuckled. "He'll be loving it, Ara. Been pestering me about training him since he could walk. Ya gift is perfect, love. No need ta be worrying." He murmured, eyes twinkling with mirth.
"Me heart is happy ya'd be willing ta go ta so much trouble."

Kiara smiled "It is no trouble at all, I like making magical objects like that as presents, it is a hobby I guess" she said with laugh, happy that she had picked the right gift.

And perhaps leaving a small to hint to what his presant would be.

"There is still one person I still I haven't thought of a gift for, yet... I am stuck" she looked around to make sure Horatio wasn't looking or nearby to hear.

"I am stuck on what to get Horatio.... help me please" she whispered.

"A hobby? Sounds like a lovely hobby." he chuckled, twirling her around. Ciaran wondered what she would be getting him, and then whether or not she would like his gift to her.

"A gift for me uncle..." he mused, his voice a whisper as well.

"How about a pipe holder?" he suggested, remembering how his uncle had lost his pipe holder several years ago.

Kiara nodded, "Yes I rather like it, makes the presents more personalized" she said with a smile.

Her eyes brightend at the suggestion, "Perfect, I have the best design in mind..." she said in relief.

"You are a life saver Love, thank you" she said softly as she kissed him, her hand sliding from his shoulder to the back of his head.
Pulling away she smiled and said "I love having a family again"

"Indeed it does, lass." he smiled. The music faded and he kissed her hand. "I thought ya would be having a design fairly quick, Ara. Ya seem ta be a wiz at presents and all that."

"And I love being apart of ya family." Ciaran stated seriously. "Shall we be waiting for the next waltz or have ya other things ta attend ta?"

Kiara smiled "Why don't we get something to drink, before the next dance? and I can introduce you to other members of the staff? How does that sound?" she asked.

"Sounds lovely, Ara." he nodded, tucking her arm around his and leading her toward the drink table.

Nicolas led Amy on to the Dance Floor. He waited until they were in the middle before he turned around to face her and repositioned his hands so that they were in perfect dance position.

"You know I want say you look really nice tonight, but I got the feeling I would just be copying what all the other guys in here have said"

Ana laughed. "And I'd say you clean up well, but then I'd be stealing lines from about a million movies."

"So how about this? You look even more stunning in that dress."

Ana fought to stop herself from blushing. And failed. How embarrasing. And really annoying. "And you look even more handsome in your tux."

"And beware, I may fall over in these heels." She grinned, a warning that was only partly serious.

Aiden was quite happy with himself he managed to get Ana to blush, and try as he might he could not stop the faint reddening in his cheeks. But he guessed he could blame the heat, it was actually quiet warm in his tux... no really it was.

Laughing slightly as he continued to lead in the waltz he said. "I suppose it would be to corny to say I won't let you fall? But then again it is the truth.. I won't let you" he said with a smile.

"What kind of dance partner would I be if I did?" he asked.

Ana shrugged. "One busy laughing?" She joked.

She glanced around the room. "Looks like Amy and her "lover boy" and having fun."

Aiden laughed and nodded "Yeah I see that, and you know what? so am I... Are you? even though you are not bugging Darien?" he asked as he slowly moved them both to the music.

Ana laughed. "Ah, I'm sure his date can manage to bug him without my help."

She smiled at Aiden. "And yes, I am."

Aiden laughed and shook his head, "Why he asked someone who annoys him to the ball is beyond me.... it is his own fault"

" I am glad" he said. Then he put her into he short spin, but was ready to catch her if she lost balance. He would be true to his word, and not let her fall.

"Well this is Darien, he doesn't really think things through." Ana smirked.

Ana wobbled slightly, but managed to stay upright. She laughed. "Still standing! It's a miracle!"

Aiden chuckled "Your doing wonderfully, I personally have no Idea how you even walk in those shoes, much less dance" he said entering the slow part of the song, pulling her into a slight dip.

Ana laughed. "Me neither."

She slipped slightly, falling backwards...
