The Morning After - How Nick and Ana got together <3

Ana blinked, equally confused. "Why wouldn't you? I was laughed at for owning a treehouse at the age of ten."

"Really?" Nicolas said. "Who made fun of you?"

"Only my parents, my grandparents, my uncles, my aunts..." She rolled her eyes. "Only everyone in the vague vicinity."

"Should have hex them," Nicolas said easily. "It's what I would have done."

"Not when that equals a never-ending stream of punishment you wouldn't..." Ana muttered.

"Well, I'm the heir, they don't punish me." Nicolas said arrogantly.

"I was the favourite child...Yet I still have scars." Ana sighed.

"I think... I think my family was too afraid of me." Nicolas said not entirely sure why they were talking about their families.

Ana raised an eyebrow. "Scared of you?"

"Hey," Nicolas said. "I can be scary when I want to be."

"Yeah, I was the heir, they didn't want me to get up and run away."

Ana raised both eyebrows. "Why do I doubt that?"

"I wouldn't run away without my house..." Ana muttered. "I've survived for this long for a reason."

"And what would that reason be?" Nicolas asked.

Ana rolled her eyes. "To get the house, grounds, power, wealth...Duh."

"Oh..." Nicolas said. "Of course. How silly of me."

Ana rolled her eyes again. "Yeah."

"You're so cute, yes you are, yes you are..." Nicolas said to Darius.

Ana glanced across and heaved a sigh of relief. "Thank god you were talking to the baby."

"Course I was." Nicolas said. "You didn't think I was talking to you did you?"

Ana rolled her eyes. "He is a cute baby."

Nicolas looked at her, "Would you like to hold him?"

Ana paused. "Um...I'd like to...I'm just not sure I know how."

"Just sort of, handle his head." Nicolas said. He neared her and offered Darius to her. "If you hurt him, I'll kill you."

Ana frowned slightly as she placed Darius on her arm. She blinked as he didn't fall. It was like her arm was moulded to his shape or something.
"Hello Darius." She smiled at him and cradled him gently, supporting his head.
She glanced at Nick for a split second. "And you'd better tell me if he starts slipping, or so help me I will kill you..."

"You're doing fine," Nicolas said. However, just in case he put a silent charm on Darius just in case Ana did drop him.

While Ana was busy with Darius, Nicolas got himself some juice and took the paper. He read the front page subsequently dropped the juice.

"Oh... no..." Nicolas somberly. "No... this is horrible."

"What?" Ana muttered, kissing Darius on the forehead.

She heard the juice hit the floor and glanced up. "Nick...What is it?"
