Professor McKevin's Chambers (Located on the third floor...however they appear to shift locations...)

There was a rather high pitched shriek of laughter from the other side of the door and a loud bang followed by Horatio's deep laughter.
"I'm going to catch you, you little..." he never finished as another squeal erupted from whoever he was chasing and as the door opened, everything went silent. The room was tidy and neat, with Eglantine sitting primly on the couch. Edwin, slept soundly in a little cot against the wall.
"Are you all right, Kiara?" Horatio asked, holding the door open for her.

Kiara nodded, as she walked in though she hardly looked alright.

"I recevied some very disterbing news this morning" she said as she took out the list and handed it to Horatio. She wasn't sure what his reaction would be.

"Charles found out about my revivle, he let me know his future plans" she said quietly as her eye darkend.

Horatio's smile faded and then vanished, as he stared at the scroll, without reading it. Apparently he knew just by its design, what's its contents held. "Eglantine, take Edwin into the bedroom, please." he stated. She nodded, levitating herself from the couch to levitate the child and his cot into the other room. The door closed and she approached them.

"He sent you the whole list?" she asked, seemingly only curious. Not a glimmer of fear or trepidation shone in her green eyes.
"Lenty, this is the list of the Damned." he stated, as if she didn't know that.
"No, it's not, Horatio." Eglantine murmured, taking it from him and opening it. "The blood is too fresh and the list is far from complete."

Kiara nodded slightly toward Eglantine, afterall what sort of assasine would Charles be if her told who all his targets were.

"This is just a sample copy, I think and we are all on it I found it on my desk this morning" she said quietly. This was her worst fear coming ture. Everyone of them was in danger now.

"Except Ciaran... but that is either a good thing or a really bad thing" she thought to her self.

"I already warned Sevastyan and Viper, so Sevastyan could warn his family aswell. I wanted to make sure you two know about it as well. I was going to tell Ethan next" she said.

"I will talk to Ciaran about it later as well, he maybe on the list just not on this one, but... dear Merlin I hope not" she whispered the last part.

"If he's not on the list, I would be more worried than not, kleine." Eglantine muttered. "He did work for Charles, maybe he is apart of the Purgers' Knights." Horatio's face reddened with anger.

"Professor DeLanquar, my nephew does not consort with criminals such as your brother-in-law!" Eglantine stiffened, looking up at Horatio. Her eyes filled with tears, but she didn't say anything.

"Thank you for showing us this, Kiara. Is Sevastyan's family well?" She asked, her eyes still on Horatio.

Kiara bit her lip to stop her self from lashing out in much the same way Horatio did when Eglantine sugessted Ciaran was a member of the purgers. Taking a pained breath she said, "Eglantine you can't honestly believe Ciaran could be a part of this do you? The man I am going to marry? I don't believe it, not for a milli second...."

Then a scary thought struck her...

"The man I am going to marry.... I become a member of there family, both Ciaran and Tav could fine their names right next to mine, if they arn't already" she paled even more at the thought.

That was her worst nightmare, she family and loved ones being placed in danger because of her.

Her eyes darkened with sadness at the mention of Sevastyan's family.

"Not really, no.. they are not... one of his cousins was killed just recently and his name wasn't on this copy either...." she pointed out sadly.

Eglantine turned to Kiara. "I'm sorry to hear that." but there was something lacking in her tone of voice. "Probably a younger man then. Charles does not add them until they reach a certain age." She had not idea what that age was...but as Corin and Severus had been on the list and they had just turned 19...at least Bella wasn't on it. But that worried her greatly.

Eglantine turned to Kiara. "I'm sorry to hear that." but there was something lacking in her tone of voice. "Probably a younger man then. Charles does not add them until they reach a certain age." She had not idea what that age was...but as Corin and Severus had been on the list and they had just turned 19...at least Bella wasn't on it. But that worried her greatly.

Kiara blinked at Eglantine, she didn't seem overly concerned with this, and she wondered why.

"This isn't the full list, you said so your self Eglantine there could many more names on the real list then on this one.." she said.

There was something bothering her about Eglantines lack of concern, her entire family was on the list and she didn't look worried.

"Eglantine, Kiara is right. This is a serious thing. If this Charles fellow has a list with every single dark family on it, that would put the students at risk as well. Your nephews are 18 right? What's to keep the younger ones safe?" Horatio asked. He was more than disturbed by her lack of emotion. Could it be that she had known about this list for awhile and now having a copy brought to her was simply like receiving a copy of the same letter?

"He is still working within the Ministry's orders." Eglantine reasoned. "He can do nothing as of now without their direct permission."

"And you know this how?" Horatio asked, his tone approaching angry. Eglantine sighed.
"I have a source inside of the Ministry."

Kiara still didn't see how Charles working within the minstry made this any better, in her mind it made worse this went beyond just band of killers out to get them. There very law wanted them dead, well at least that part of it did, this was a very deadly situation they were in.

Kiara personally didn't care how Eglantine got her information, just that she got it.

"With all due respect Eglantine, how does that make this any better? if any thing it makes it worse. They are organised, smart, and have who knows how many people to back them up and plan. My name is at the top the list to kill list along with everyother member of the staff and their family."

It was hard to say what they could do, she could place wards up until she dropped but that would do little good as there was nothing spaciffic about Charles and his people.

There was one spell she could do protect the grounds of hogwarts from anyone who wished to cause any of them harm. But with the size of hogwarts grounds she would only be able to maintain the spell for a day, perhaps two, before she would need to bring it down and rest her magic.

"It makes it better, Kiara. Trust me. It means that for now, Charles is still held down." she sighed. "He has longer standing ideas than purging... He has a purpose and a plan. I know, because he told me. As soon as he rids the world of its dark families, he plans to take their place."

Horatio let out a breath. "You mean, that he wants to take over the ministry? Eglantine, he's one auror."

Eglantine looked up at Horatio, her face finally showing how much fear and inner turmoil she was feeling. "Tom Riddle was one man. Charles is not one, Horatio. He has several sons and daughters...all willing to carry his torch."

Kiara in fustration, "What would you have me do Eglantine?, I can't just sit and wait for Charles or one on his children to come here and start kill all of us. I can only keep hogwarts completely securce for a little while, a spell powerfull enoungh to protect hogwarts will wear me and wear out the ward generating them in a few days, if that" she said with a sigh.

"What about Excessum?" Eglantine suggested. "I could create a ward around Hogwarts that would not allow anyone to do anything against my will. It would hold for a month...maybe longer."

Kiara looked at Eglantine unsure, "Umm what would a ward like that involve Eglantine?"

Horatio took a deep breath. "Dark arts got us into this mess!" he stated. "Why on earth would we want to use it to protect us?"

Eglantine ignored him. "It would involve linking Excessum to Hogwart's wards. A simple process..." Horatio interrupted her.

"No, this is madness! That wand is pure evil, Eglantine and if you linked it to Hogwarts, you would be putting every life in this school at risk."

Kiara shivered at the idea, she didn't like it, plus her magic was driectly linked to Hogwarts, if Eglantine meant to link that wand to the hogwarts wards she would be connected to it as well. There was nothing Eglantine could do about it, all wards linked to hogwarts went through her as Headmistress.

"I don't know Eglantine, we don't know how it would react to the castle or me" she said.

"I agree with Kiara." Horatio stated quickly. Eglantine nodded.

"Then we could attempt something else. A shield around the castle. An ash weave." She suggested. Horatio opened his mouth and then closed it.
"That's ancient magic." he muttered.
"Which makes it more likely that Charles wont be able to break it." she answered. He nodded.

Kiara nodded, it sounded better then Excessum, and it would be something she could assit with.

"We should do it as soon as possible then" she said.

Eglantine sighed. "We will need to draw a line around Hogwarts. That will show how far the ash weave will shield. It is a strong magic but not far reaching. Nymph tears, a moon beam, unicorn blood and the ash from five different trees are needed for the potion."

Kiara nodded "I can take care of the ashes and the Unicorn blood if the two of you can get the other two" she said.

Horatio puffed on his pipe. "I have some yew ash already, so that only leaves, willow, oak, chestnut, and holly. Elm water is also required, Eglantine."

She shook her head. "I don't need it. The moon beam and the nymph tear will be sufficient." Horatio looked skeptical but sighed.

"Very well. I can get the nymph tear and the moon beam. And Kiara getting the wood ash, leaves Eglantine to make the line."

Kiara nodded again, "I am going to warn Ethan next he out anyone with not be excpected to be on this. I will get the woods from the wand wood garden, and making ashes will be easy enough. The unicorn blood should be easy enough as well there is a heard of them just on the perimiter of the forbidden forest" she explined as she turned to leave and summond the scroll out of Eglantines hands.

Eglantine nodded. "Kiara...you will need to kill the unicorn for the blood. It is necessary for the weave potion..."

Kiara froze at the door, her hand clenching the door frame tightly.

"But...I" her breath cought in her throat. Was the life of one unicorn worth the safety of those in the castle?...

"Fine..." she whispered through darkend eyes, is was obvious however she hated what she would have to do, and her self for espeaiclly for doing it...

If she could bring her self to do it that is...
