Game one

Zabby grinned. "Let's head up to the towers. If we can find something...

Ana sighed and glanced around for the twins.
"You two want to go investigate secret passages?"

Darien walked along the corridors, staying close to Diana. "Was it near here?"

"Darien wait," Diana said pulling Darien to a stop. "I hear something..."

Darien stopped.
"What-" He heard it too.
"What is that?"

Lycoris nodded. "Okay..."

"Mr. Vaight!" Eglantine announced, careful to not startle the two students a few meters ahead of her. It would be easier to pad along the halls in cat form, but she had not wanted to frighten them.

Darien jumped and spun around, wand ready. He relaxed when he saw the Professor.
"Yes Professor?"

"Professor," Diana said clutching her chest. "You scared me."

Zabby took to the doors. "North tower first, Lye?"

"I am very sorry about that." Eglantine murmured, coming to stand beside the couple. Despite her best efforts she had still frightened the poor students. Several colourful Gaelic phrases came to mind.

"What's the matter Professor?" Darien asked, wondering why she'd been following them.

"Nothing, Mr. Vaight. I simply thought it best that I accompany you. Do you mind?" She asked softly.

"Nope." Darien shrugged. "Sorry, it's just this whole murderer thing puts me on edge." He stepped closer to Diana, eyes scrouring all the shadows around them suspiciously.

"I as well." Diana agreed, clinging to Darien.

"Another reason why I choose to accompany you." she muttered, continuing to walk down the hallway.

Lycoris followed Zabby out. "Sure. The North Tower..."

Darien kept his eyes open for any sign of movement as the walked through the dark corridors.
"Was...Was he near here?"

Diana nodded. "We were by the suit of armor."

Diana turned the corner and saw Nicolas' body. A shiver ran through her. And her knees gave way.

Darien caught Diana by the arms.
"Diana? It's okay, it's okay. Lean on me...It's all okay..."
He tried to help her stand up.

"I'm sssorry." Diana said trembling. "I'm such a messss."

She chuckled slightly. "Sssso much for being Ggggryffindor eh?"

"You are a Gryffindor, and you are brave. Many people would be far worse than you are right now...After what you've been through. Now lean on me, we don't want you collapsing all over the place."
Darien smiled slightly at Diana.

Eglantine swallowed before bending to pull the cloth back slightly. She had, unfortunately, a great deal of experience with dead bodies and the sight of them was not something that greatly disturbed her. A sword to the abdomen, hardly what she would call a clean means of murder...
Levitating the body up slightly, she slid a conjured stretcher under the corpse. The cloth slipped slight revealing the dead boy's pale face and she carefully replaced it.

Diana leaned on Darien and smiled, perhaps the first time that night. "I love you Darien."

She grasped Darien's arm while she watched the Professor put Nicolas' body on the stretcher. "Professor wait," Diana said suddenly.

She approached Nicolas' body, "I'm sorry Nico..."

Darien walked with Diana and put his arm around her shoulders.
"He wouldn't blame you Diana, I know he wouldn't."

Diana nodded, unable to speak and hugged Darien.
