Thestral Nest

Raven didn't even crack a smile as she looked down at the small slytherin, "It's ok everyone is a bit stupid at times."

She looked where Alex was looking, back at the thestral nest then back at her, "you know you're lucky I was around, you could have gotten yourself killed." Raven sighed, "Anyways I'm staying here a bit longer so I suppose you can hang out with me for the moment, but once I leave the thestral nest your coming with me."

Raven narrowed her eyes down sternly to Alex before proceeding towards the thestrals.

"Amazing creatures, aren't they?" Raven thought out loud as she held out her hand towards one. It came closer let Raven rest her hand on it's head.

"Who did you see die?" Raven asked.

Alex's smile went down to a frown when Raven said she was lucky she was around. Alex then followed Raven towards the nest and watched the baby thestrals.

"They are very cute," Alex smiled and petted baby thestral.

She then faced Raven when she asked who she saw die, "My aunt, I was only 7 at the time, I never really liked her so when she died I was kind of happy... I mean of course I felt bad and all but I was waiting on her to die," Alex smiled.

"How about you?" She asked.

Raven's thought about the word 'cute' for a thestral was abnormal to her, the word she was thinking about was more into 'amazing' or 'divine' 'wonderful' creatures. But she didn't say anything to Alex about her thoughts of what a thestral looked to her.

She didn't say a word for a while when Alex asked her about who Raven watch dying, and continued to watch the thestral. She sighed sharply and said, "my father... I was 5..." She tried her best to sound normal.

Raven put her hand down and walked a small ways as twigs and leaves crunched below her.

Her eyes began to water but she fought them back and faced Alex.

Alex frowned, "I'm sorry to here that... if I found out one of my parents had past away... I wouldn't know what I would do..."

She then gave a sympathetic smile and said, "Well let's not dewll on the past and worry about the future, how about we be great friends, I don't have a friend yet and I think it would be wonderful to have one."

She then gave her normal smile towards Raven and watched the adult thestrals around Raven.

"It's quire alright..." Raven said. She felt one of the thestrals put it's head on her shoulder and Raven turned around and pet it's long bony nose. She then let go and faced Alex again.

"Sure we can become friends, but we better get inside our common room before we get caught and into trouble." Raven said. She walked towards the castle with Alex behind her having a look out for dementors. Once it was safe enough to go she walked back to the dungeons and into the common room with Alex.

Alex smiled and walked with her to the castle also having a look out for dementors until we entered safely inside the common room.
