Mark added his name to the list as well, though he silently wonders why there is a need for a DA, or why it is still called Dumbledore's Army at all, since the guy died over twenty years ago.

(I could say the same for when Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald. Most people from after that period hardly seemed to care. Same applies here. Why would this generation care for the dead heroes of the last? The surviving heroes are more interesting to children.)

(My point is that people who were born after a war hardly care about it, since they weren't there to see it. So there is basically no reason why they would've kept the old name, especially since they entire purpose of the club changed. Also, calling it an "army" might give some people the wrong impression, scarring off potential members)

(Dumbledore's Army is quite a cool name, but just speaking for myself, if my dad or mum was in an organisation when they went to school, I would deliberatly not join. I just wouldn't want to be like my parents, but I don't really mind what the club's called. And isn't Advanced Spells almost the same as the DA?)

(You're right, Advanced Spells is basically the DA, but with a teacher to help.)
