While Diana finished dressing in the dressing room, forcing herself to keep her tears at bay Helena was being crossexamined.


"Yeah, sure," Helena folded her arms in a defensive manner. "Blame me, when a Slytherin comes and does exactly what Slytherins are supposed to do!"

Lycoris emerged from the rack. "I'm sorry, I came at the wrong time. And Zabby, I don't think Helena would do it. She has no reason to, does she?"

Zabby held up her hands. "Relax, Helena. I was just asking. I think somethings going on...I think someone set that up...Do you know who Diana's going to the Ball with?" she asked.

"Some guy named Bors?" Helena said. "I don't know, she never tells me anything any more. I thought she was going with Dar-hole."

Zabby frowned. "Still something feels off. I don't know what it is..." She then noticed she was still in the purple dress. "Oh, great..."

Haydon frowned also. "What happened, Zabby?" he asked.

Zabby shook her head. "It's not my story to tell, Hades." She thought about it. "But...Helena is right. I shouldn't have suspected you...I've been reading to many mysteries lately..."

"Alright fine," Helena said reluntantly. "I sort of... told Dar-hole to come... but I thought he'd like seeing Diana in that dress... I mean I didn't know they were having problems..."

Zabby frown deepened as did Haydon's. "What are you going to do about this, Helena?" she asked.

"What?" Helena said surprised that she was asked. "Nothing! He doesn't deserve her. You saw the way he treated her. I mean after she forshaked her family just to be with him. Now maybe her family would start talking to her again."

"Them breaking up is probably for the best for everybody."

Zabby was tempted to slap the girl. "Helena...She's in love with him...You can't help who you fall in love with."

Haydon frowned. "I agree with Zabby. I'm dating a muggle girl back home and she accepts me and I accept her. It's like that."

"She is, I don't think he is." Helena said.

"I think he's just bringing her for a ride. Besides she'll get over him. It's easy since he's such a jerk."

Zabby shook her head. "No... I think he is too, Helena..."

She walked over to the dressing room. "Need help Diana?"

"No," it was obvious by her voice that she was on the verge of tears. She came out. "I'm fine."

Lies, her eyes were red and puffy.

Zabby sighed. "Oh, sweetie..." she said, pulling her back into the dressing room. "Do I need to have a talk with Darien?" she asked, frowning.

She shook her head. "No. I'm fine. Don't talk to him, it will only make things worst."

Zabby frowned. "Here...Do you want me to get rid of the blotchy spots?"

"Yes, will you?" Diana said her voice quivering.

"Guys," Helena said looking around. "Let's go get some candy." She looked at Diana. "I think you need some."

Zabby waved her wand over Diana's face and the blotches disappeared. "There you go..." she said, an arm around Diana's shoulders. "Let's get some chocolate into you, Diana."

"Thanks Zabby," Diana said. She sighed. "Yes, perhaps chocolate would do me some good..."

"Righto, so to Honeydukes?" Helena said.
