Medical History2041 – – – Arrived at St. Mungo’s with several dueling wounds, the most serious perhaps being that her left ring finger was entirely missing and improperly cauterized and patched up. Informed medical staff the amputation of finger was both due to combat and intentional severing of the digit. Was strongly advised to seek counseling, under assumption it was self-harm, though refused. The removal of her finger had been for self-preservation’s sake, which she wasted no time informing her superiors about. Treated with a broad-spectrum antidote for various poisons.
2040, November 19 – – – Son, Connall Alastor Moody, was stillborn. Suffered slightly abnormal but minor hemorrhaging. Refused all offers of counseling. The baby may have died in the womb due to the trauma or stress of Alannah’s line of work (she’d kept her pregnancy well-hidden until her sixth month), but the results were inconclusive.
2037 – – – Moody was admitted to St. Mungo’s bleeding profusely from her right ear, as well as having suffered various cuts and contusions. Upon further examination Healers realized there was no outer ear to speak of on Moody’s right side. Treated for her wounds. The removal of Moody’s right ear was twofold: in attempting to rescue a teammate, she had partially splinched herself, causing a majority of the ear removal. Not long after she provided distraction enough for the teammate to get away, though at the cost of what was left of her outer ear and various other wounds. A flesh prosthesis was magically attached permanently for cosmetic purposes. Reprimanded upon returning to work and faced a 1-month unpaid suspension.
2035 – – – Moody was ambushed and assailed with a dagger to the shoulder in Knockturn Alley. Refused to have the wound looked at, thus causing it to become infected. A week-long hospital stay ensued to cure the infection. Healers attempted to lessen the severity of eventual scarring but there wasn’t much to be done. Now bears a scar from top left of shoulder down her back to where the shoulder blade ends.
Pre-Academy (Adolescence) – – – It is believed that Alannah Moody suffers some sort of mental illness in which paranoia and auditory hallucinations are present. Further study is needed, but patient refuses all offers of mental status examinations and screenings. Given the fact the Moody family often persistently presents patients with paranoia, we can assume the condition is either genetic or caused by intentional grooming of new generations to be incessantly guarded.

Comments: I can say from personal experience both as Moody’s foster father and as her commanding officer that she has potential to be a decent Magical Law Enforcement officer. While her remaining year at Hogwarts takes up much of her time, Moody has shown a great aptitude for profiling suspects and in juggling both her academic and professional lives with stunning precision for someone of her youth. Weekends permit for the more rough-and-tumble activities befitting the job, of which Moody also performs valiantly.

Comments:Lieutenant Moody has potential in the field, however I have concerns for her occasional disregard of authority and personal safety. Her more abrasive comments tend to not set well with the rest of the squad, but surprisingly the brusqueness manages to motivate the others to work all the harder. She could do well on a team. However, her independence sometimes interferes with the concept of teamwork. – Artemis Powell
Former-Acting Squad Leader Alannah Moody could go far in the profession, however I have some concerns. She is far too independent, and upon realizing she is working with a team will often informally reprimand a fellow officer for what seems to be the smallest error. I am relieved to have stepped in when I have, for Lieutenant Moody seemed to be getting just a little overconfident with her new position. Twice in her career under my eye did Moody disobey a direct order. Her only saving grace was that the maneuvers caused no lasting harm to the operation or any of on the team. – Zoe MacDougal

Reprimands:2037 – Teammate and self-endangerment that caused the loss of Moody’s outer right ear, among other injuries to all parties involved. 1-month unpaid suspension.
2037 – Informally warned of what would happen if Moody married fellow Squad member Leonard Clancy. When they married anyway, Leonard was involuntarily transferred to a different squad. He had been too high up in the ranks to continue working in the same squad as his wife.
2040 – Reprimanded for hiding her pregnancy of 6 months, which may have caused undue stress and possible harm to the baby. Demoted to Lieutenant and suspended without pay for remaining 3-4 months of her pregnancy, in addition to being removed from the squad. May return to work on March 3, 2041, to be assigned to a different team.

Comments: It was a sad day indeed to see Lieutenant-Commander Moody’s request for transfer to another team cross my desk. She really pulled the team together, even though mostly by their throats or napes of their necks. Yes, she would benefit from being less brusque... however it is my belief that the gruffness is merely a cover for a very kind and caring heart. Moody works hard to get where she is and has no trouble cracking down on herself as well as others whether they are colleagues or suspects. Although, sometimes this workaholic trait involves an occasional disobeyed order and a complete and utter lack of teamwork. She listens to authority approximately eighty percent of the time.
