November 13th 2049

"...Oh go jump off a bridge, McFerren!" Sevie McKevin spat, his eyes flaming with fury as he stood nearly nose to nose with his worst enemy, Nicole McFerren a fourth year Gryffindor. His friend George Blethyn and his great-nephew, Caleb McConn, a fourth year Gryffindor himself, stood off to the side offering the occasional jeer against Nicole, whose house had little to do with her hatred of Sevie and the returned animosity.

"Make me, Slimy!" Nicole hissed, her pretty face screwed into such a mask of hatred that she looked nearly like the lion her house prized.

"Stupid!"

"Idiot!"

"You take that back!" George sputtered out for him.
Nicole folded her arms, smirking.
"Make me, pudgy." her friend, Mattie Reddin chuckled behind her and Sevie's nostril's flared in anger. It wasn't George's fault he was a bit fat.

Caleb McConn frowned and had his tightening around his wand, ready to defend Sevie and George if thing got out of hand...


Jamie Addams rolled her eyes.. and shook her head as she observed the commotion. She had been walking down the hall to the commonroom when she encountered them...

"You are all acting like a bunch of first years" she said throughly annoyed with them for the most part... particularly Nicole and her friend.. Really petty name calling? How Sad...

Nicole turned her attention briefly from Sevie to Jamie.
"He started it." she insisted, pointing a manicured nail at the blonde boy.

Sevie rolled his eyes.
"Yeah right. You're the one with the attitude problem."
George chuckled and playfully hit Caleb's arm in agreement.

Steaming, Nicole pointed her wand at Sevie. But then seeing that anything she cast against Sevie would just be blocked by either Caleb or possibly Jamie or even Sevie's own shields, she did the thing least expected and tacked the larger boy.

"AH!" Sevie screamed, punching up into Nicole's face as her fist slammed into his rib-cage. Together they both rolled across the floor, biting and scratching.

"Hey!" Caleb yelled as he want to try and seperate Sevie and Nicole... as much as he dislike Nicole... he has been brought up with belief never to hit girl.. old fasion? maybe... but still a big no no in his book.

He waved his wand, conjuring ropes to try and pull them apart from eachother.

Jamie hit her forehead.. "No I take that back.. your not acting like first years... your acting like animals..." she said as she walked off intent of getting a teacher to help.
Since she was on her way to Gryffindor common room Professor Delanquar's office was the closest.

She knocked on the door rather hurriedly.

Sevie fought the ropes and was able to sever them with a cutting charm, unfortunately for Nicole, who was still fettered. Attempting to assist Caleb, George grabbed Sevie's wrist and was nearly thrown against the wall.

"UNTIE ME NOW!" Nicole shrieked, finally breaking the ropes, just as Sevie launched himself at her again.
"OUCH!" Sevie 's turn to scream came as her teeth embedded themselves in his arm. "Hey, watch it you piranha."

Eglantine sighed softly looking up from the stack of paperwork she'd been grading. Rubbing the bridge of her nose and removing her glasses, she rose to her feet. Her birthday had not quite been spent the way she would have liked. Between hardly getting any essays graded and getting very little sleep due to several of her students getting attacked by 'something' in the Forbidden Forest, she had only just managed to get through her classes for the day and now... the knocking continued and she pulled open the door.

"Miss Addams." She murmured, recognizing her student immediately.

Caleb growled, this was getting out of hand...

" Bloody hell you two, this is ridiculus... " he said as he tried to pull Sevie off Nicole .

Caleb wasn't a big teen but he wasn't scrawny either...

"Don't make me stun ya Sev" he warned, though at that moment his wand was aimed at Nicole... ready to Stun her if she forced the issue..

Then 6th year Hufflepuff Emma Venice walked into the hall, her eyes went as wide as dinner plates for a second.

"What the? ya know I am not going to ask... now stop acting like the savage dogs you aren't and more like the civalized witches and wizards you are" she voiced as she pulled Nicole away from Sevie and Caleb.

Jamie quickly went into explaination, sounding very similar to her grandfather Ethan Addams "Professor, Sevie an Nicole aregonna kill eachother of we don't do something, they just down the in the hall" she said as she pointed in the direction the boys were in..

Nicole and Sevie were hesitant to say the least in stopping the fighting. Both felt completely justified and neither were about to apologize or let their guard down.

"Uh-oh..." George whispered, his beady eyes wide with fear. "Jamie went to get a professor I think." It was no secret that George hated getting into trouble, although thanks to Sevie, he often did.

"Stop being such a baby." Nicole muttered, pushing dark hair from her eyes. Sevie growled at her, wrenching his arm away from Caleb, but not attacking the older girl again. He looked angry enough to leap in again at any moment... any word from Nicole would be a flame to the doused fuel.

Highly doubting that her son and the girl were going to 'kill each other' as Jamie so aptly put it, Eglantine gently patted the girl's arm. It was amazing how similar she and her grandfather were... only item missing was the dirt on the sleeves and a pot, of course the soiled sleeves might actually be present...

"Come along." she murmured, wishing the sorting hat had placed her son in Hufflepuff. No doubt he wouldn't get into half the trouble he did if his house had been less rivalling.

Her cane made a soft thump against the floor as she summoned it and they went down the hall toward the altercation.

Caleb sighed and didn't move a inch ready to get Sev again should he launch himself again.

"Sev calm down.. and McFerren will you just shut that big mouth of yours.." he said, he personally blamed Nicoles taunting... but Sevies temper was making matters worse.

Emma looked confused, but as she had said she didn't want to know, so instead she had her wand out..

"Are either of you hurt?" she asked..

Jamie nodded her head Quickly and followed her, "yes Professor" she dearly hoped they didn't get in to much trouble.. she only got a professor to stop them from hurting eachother..

"No." Sevie muttered, smoothing out his rumpled robes. Shaking her head, Nicole for once didn't take the role of drama queen.

"Next time I'll hex you so hard you won't be able to say 'Slytherin Sucks'." Nicole spit out, earning herself a glare and rising heat from Sevie.
"There is not going to be a next time, Miss McFerren..." Professor DeLanquar looked tired and nearly disinterested, but both Nicole and Sevie straightened and went silent.

"Who started this?" she asked, looking from Sevie and Nicole to George, Caleb and Emma. Truthfully, it was hard to know who had started it, since both had stopped and yelled at each other before launching into blows... but George wasn't about to say that. Eyes the size of saucers he just stared at Professor DeLanquar's robe hem.

Caleb growled, a growing anger at the Nicole, how they were in the same house was beyond him.

When is Great-grandmother arrived he lowered his wand...but his eyes reminded pinned on Nicole. He wasn't really sure how it started, but neither party was doing anything to end it. It was like they liked fighting with eachother.

Emma shock her head and shrugged.. " Not sure professor.. both were going at it when I came in..." she said. ' I was going to take points off, but since you are here.." she said backing away slightly. She was the Hufflepuff prefect, and was allowed to take points off houses should she see a fight such as that.

Jamie was suddenly regreting getting a professor... she indended to do it to stop them from fighting... but since it seemed they had already stopped.. all she had done was gotten them into trouble.

Eglantine was silent, taking in both Caleb's lowering of the wand and Emma's response to her question. She ignored George's fearful expression and Nicole and Sevie's angry ones.

"Yes, thank you Miss Venice..." she murmured, almost wishing that the girl had done just that. Tired was an understatement of how she felt toward Sevie's fighting. "You did the right thing." she assured her, smiling faintly.

"A detention, Miss McFarren tonight and you, Mr. McKevin..." she trailed off, a gloved hand reaching to grip her son's arm, gently but firmly all the same. "I plan to speak to your head of house about this but as this is your tenth fight in the past two weeks; detentions do not seem to correct your behaviour. Twenty points from Gryffindor and Slytherin and you will not be able to play in the Quidditch match, either of you."

Nicole and Sevie's mouths fell open.
"But, Professor that's not fair!" Nicole squealed, her eyes wide and fearful...
"Come on! That is too much!" Sevie appeared to agree with his nemesis for once. "Points and Quidditch!?"

"Sevastyan..." Eglantine warned, her voice dangerously calm.

The boy went silent; but Nicole persisted.
"Please, Professor, this is only my first fight this year!" near hysteria had gripped the girl and Sevie smirked.
"Yeah right..." he muttered.
"Oh shut up!" Nicole hissed.
"Make me."
Nicole pulled her wand out, prompting Sevie to do the same.

"Enough!" Eglantine murmured, reaching out to summon both wands. However not before Sevie fired a stunner at Nicole. Easily deflecting the stunner, the professor snatched Sevie's wand from his hand.

"No Quidditch for the rest of the school year."

Caleb felt like hitting Sevie over the head... He was being so stupid... honestly.. both were being stupid..

"If I were either of you I would quit before she up's the points and suspends ya" he added not enjoying the fact Nicole couldn't play in the game and he was sypathic to Sevie that he couldn't play either..

Emma nodded, feeling bad for the professor, who was to her her grandmother, she once again stepped closer to the two younger students to prevent them from fighting eachother...

Sevie grumbled under his breath but went quiet after a moment. Although obviously close to tears, Nicole said nothing more, no doubt afraid of what else her head of house might do to her.

"You will come to my chambers after dinner, Mr. McKevin." Eglantine stated, sliding both of the wands into her deep pocket. "Mr. McConn will accompany you in order to collect Miss McFarren's wand. If I hear about you two fighting again, you will both be suspended."

Sighing softly, she glanced over at the gathering group of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students all gawking and hoping to see another fight. "Return to your tasks or elsewhere." she instructed, shooing them away with a gloved hand.

"Ten points to Miss Venice and Miss Addams. Excellent work." With that, she continued down the hall and vanished around the corner.

"That was not fair..." Nicole moaned, glaring at Sevie.
Sevie ignored her and began to stalk away, George following like a enlarged shadow.

Turning back to Caleb, Sevie grimaced.
"I was going to surprise her by behaving today..." he muttered, suddenly remembering it was his mother's birthday. Well there went that idea.

Caleb nodded, though wondered if she only wanted him there to stop them from going at it again.

Emma nodded, and proceeded to shooe other students away.. "Good day professor.."

She then nodded to Caleb and Sevie, send a small smile to them.. "Sorry I couldn't help more guys, Good luck Sev.." she said.

Caleb nodded, that would have been a surprise alright...

" Thats right it is her birthday today isn't it... perhaps you can make it up to her somehow?" he said

Jamie's eyes widened, "Its her birthday?, oh damn it! I should have kept my mouth shut and let Em handle it..." she said distressed that she riuned everyones day... and sighed...

"Sorry you got into so much trouble Sevie... I only got her so... well so n one would get hurt..." she muttered feeling more then a little guilty.

Sevie sighed, coming to a stop to face Caleb and Jamie.
"Hey, no sweat." he shrugged. "She's not really into her birthday anyway. Not since..." he trailed off. "Not since a long time ago."

Although he was thought to be rather empty-minded, George caught his friend's trail and knew exactly what he had been going to say. He always tried to be extra nice to his own mother on her birthday, but then again, he never really caused trouble anyway...

"And don't worry about it, Jamie. I was out of line. It won't happen again... as long as Nicole stays out of my way."
