Theater

Ciaran happily escorted his fiance' into the theater, giving their ticket to the usher at the ornate double doors.

Kiara smiled, this was the first time she had been to a Shakespearian theater play, she was rather eager to see it.

It was a beautiful place as well..

After being shown their seats, Ciaran leaned back slightly, handing Kiara his programme. He had gotten them box seats, so that she would be able to see the show from the best angle and was quite happy with the accommodations.

Applause rang through the theater as the curtain lifted and Ciaran reached out to take Kiara's hand. This would be a memorable event he would cherish forever.

Kiara smiled at Ciaran, he was so sweet, giving his hand a squeeze and bring his hand to her mouth she kissed it as the play started.

"I love you, and marry Christmas Love" she whispered as the curtains went up and the play started.

Her eyes turned to the play, but her hand stayed lightly clasping his hand her thumb rubbing his occasionally.

As the curtain's fell after the final act, Ciaran stood to applaud, having enjoyed the show a great deal. He was tired, but content, wrapping an arm around Kiara as people below began to file out.
"Did ya enjoy it, love?" he asked, smiling.

Kiara nodded smiling also, " I loved it dear" she said giving him a slight one armed hug as they left the theater, "It was a wonderful show"

"We should do this again next Christmas" she said with a laugh.

Ciaran nodded, smiling. "Ever Christmas from now on." he agreed. His arm still wrapped around Kiara as they walked down the muggle sidewalk, he felt as if he were the luckiest man on earth, his smile saying as much.

"Ciaran!" a woman's voice called, catching his attention. Turning his head slightly, he froze as he saw his former girlfriend, Molly, approaching with a young baby on her hip.

"Molly." he greeted as kindly as he could manage. "This is Kiara, my fiance'." Molly nodded politely.

"I hope he stays with you longer and with more honour than he did with me...and our child." she murmured. Ciaran's eyes widened and his mouth fell open... there went Christmas.

Kiara's eyes were as wide as dinner plates, she could not believe what she was hearing. Who did this woman think she was? You don't simply walk up to your Ex on the side walk and declare to them you had there child.

Kiara sent a glance at Ciaran, from the look on his face he was just as shocked by this news as she was.

Molly... she vaguely remembered Tav mentioning her the day Ciaran asked her to marry him. And from the tone Tav used he had not liked her very much.

Anger came alive in her heart and a small amount of it could be seen in her eyes for a moment.

Ciaran was the most honorable man she knew, how dear this woman accuse other wise.

Squeezing Ciarans hand and finally found her voice.

" Thank for your concern but forgive me if ask you for further explanation, Ciaran is the one of the most honorable man I know, Miss?" she refused to call the woman by her first name.

"VanCallum..." Molly stated, shifting the wide-eyed child to her other hip. "And as for "Further explanation..." Ciaran and I dated for awhile and as soon as he found out I was pregnant left me without a word of pardon." Tears welled up in her eyes and Ciaran, the forever gentleman, fished out his hanky and handed it to her.

It took everything Kiara had not to glare at the weeping woman, Ciaran would never ever do something like that.

The simple action of Ciaran offering her a hanky to dry her eyes, made her even angrier.

She opened and closed her mouth trying to find the words she wanted and failing miserably, Plus it was not helping Ciaran was doing nothing to defend himself.

"Excuse me, but I find that rather hard to believe" she said finally. She trusted Ciaran not this woman, who just showed up out of no where, in the middle of a muggle street to announce this shocking news.

"The street is not the place for this..." Ciaran murmured, steering Kiara into the nearest building which happened to be a dress shop.
"Molly..." his tone was level, but pained. "Ya know that wasn't happening. Yar child isn't mine and ya left me far em."

Molly's eyes flashed with anger, lighting her pale face.
"I don't care what YOU believe." she hissed at Kiara. "My baby is now fatherless and you ignore my letters and drop me like an old shoe. At least admit she's yours! You KNOW she is!"

Ciaran looked torn. "Me heart would accept her as mine, Molly..." he whispered. "But the blood wouldn't..."

Kiara began to put the piece's together, and she could not help herself but to glare at the woman, the pain in Ciaran's voice was enough to bring to life the protective half of her.

So Miss VanCallum, got herself pregnant and she was looking for a father for the poor thing. Who better then kind hearted Ciaran to be pinned for it.

Casting a wandless muffling charm around them so no passing muggles could hear the shouts. She looked at Ciaran in admiration, he would take responsibility of a child of a woman who hurt him, who had obviously held no respect for him what so ever. And the child wasn't even his, by his own admittance.

Granted it wasn't the child's fault her mother was maniac, she personally felt sorry for her.

But it wasn't fair, on any of them.

Patting Ciaran's shoulder she turned to Molly.

"You have no right, to barge in, first insult him by claiming he wronged you when it was in face the other way around, and then drop a baby on his lap saying he has to take responsibility for a child who isn't even his" she hissed.

"How long have you even known him?" Molly returned, a note of triumph lighting her dark eyes. "Of course he will appear meek and gentlemanly. Would you love him if he revealed his true nature to you?"

Ciaran could take it no longer, closing his eyes in a gesture of control, he gently took Kiara's arm and headed back toward the door.
"Do not bother me again, Molly." he warned, as he apparated himself and Kiara to Hogwarts.
