Hallway

Horatio skipped down the hallway, on his way to his class. His deep base voice was humming along to the music his magic earphones were playing and he hadn't a care in the world. Once the chorus started, he began singing the words, oblivious to the notes echoing through the school

"Upside, inside out she's livin la vida loca
She'll push and pull you down, livin la vida loca
Her lips are devil red and her skin's the color mocha
She will wear you out livin la vida loca Come On!
Livin la vida loca, Come on!
She's livin la vida loca."

A few of the latest dance steps followed the words and he spun. Several giggling Hufflepuffs hurried by him, whispering about how funny and silly he was.
"And just what are you doing?" Esis asked, appearing as if by magic around the corner. Her arms were full of papers that she had been grading for Horatio and she had sought him out to "lighten" her load, so to speak. She did not assign homework to her students and had yet to give them essays... if she ever would.

Horatio slipped the earphones off and beamed at the younger woman.
"Singing."

"No kidding..." Esis rolled her eyes. "I thought for sure ya were dying out here." Handing over the papers, she hummed a brief line from the song.
"Care to join me?" Horatio asked, jokingly.

Esis chuckled. "Why not!" And so the two professors continued down the hallway loudly singing "livin la viva loca" ((living the crazy life)) which was oddly appropriate.

Darien wandered around the corner, still holding the skunk.

"Hm..." he glanced around. "Where to go..."

Esis turned around the corner. "Here porky! Pork...pork!" she shouted. Spotting her little darling in the arms of one of Viper's little snakes, she sighed.
"Oh merciful catnipped walruses!" she exclaimed rushing forward. "My baby, my angel. Ma amour."

"Professor!" Darien nearly jumped.

"Um...She was in my common room...on a table...I don't know how she got there-honest!" He held out the skunk to the Professor.

Esis beamed as she took the drunken skunk.
"Thanks...um...Vaight?" she raised an eyebrow hoping she had gotten the name right. "Yeah, she wondered off when I left the door open. Never do yoga with the door open." she chuckled.
"So how are you." she asked, looking at Pork. "ma puce."

((lol...drunken skunk. ))

"Yes, Darien Vaight. And um...I'll remember that..." He blinked. "And um...I tried to give her some water but she didn't like it so i gave her chocolate milk, 'cos I thought she had a furball...and then she was jumping and licking and then I thought she'd died and um...yeah I think that's it."

Esis nodded. "Ah okay, thanks a heap, Darien Vaight. Your a nice boy." she smiled, lifting Pork slightly. "And no worries about the chocolate. She just gets a bit...um...high on it. She'll wack out of it in no time." she smiled. "Jumping and licking? my word, mon trésor en sucre! Next time a treat will clam her up." She held out a hand for him to shake.
"Wanna chocolate frog?" she asked.

Ah...that explained the pocket searching. Darien suddenly felt stupid.

He shook the Professor's hand.

"Um...Ok, thanks."

Digging around in her pocket, Esis pulled out a chocolate frog, unmelted amazingly and handed it over with her other hand.
"Thanks again!" she smiled. Releasing his hand, she cooed at the skunk, digging into the same pocket for a few dog biscuits.

Darien hesistated, preparing himself for the war.

His war against the jumpy treat. A very fun(and tasty) war it was to.

He opened the packet, and the frog leapt out, landing on his nose.
Darien jumped backwards, the frog climbing onto his neck and shoulder. He tried to catch it, but it leapt through his fingers.
"Come back here you little..." He dived after the frog, chasing it as it bounded around him, in between his feet, causing him to stumble.
Growling as he missed it a fifteenth time, Darien Vaight fell over.

He glared at the frog. Evilly. As it bounced around him and over his head.

Darien suspected it was doing a victory dance.

Esis tried not to laugh...she really did, but the sight was too much and within the first few leaps she was dying of laughter.

Darien hit his forehead on the floor. Deliberately...for once.

"Accio chocolate frog." He flicked his wand, and caught the frog in a pincer grip between his finger and thumb.

Scarlet, Darien scrambled back onto his feet and dusted his robes down.

Embarassing. Must add that to list of embarassing moments when I get back to the common room.

Darien venomously swallowed the chocolate frog, almost whole.

Revenge was sweet...Very sweet. (())

Clapping, Esis congratulated the boy, drapping Pork over her shoulder as she clapped.
"You should join the circus." she exclaimed, thinking he had done an act.

Darien blinked in slight confusion, then smiled and bowed slightly.

"Thanks, but I doubt my dad would let me."

Esis shrugged. "Parents are always a drag, eh. Vaight or Malfoy..."

Darien blinked. "Malfoy?...You're a Malfoy?"
