McConn Cottage July 2028

Edwin nodded, laying Ean back down as the infant had fallen asleep once again. "Do you think she wanted to live?" he asked.

Kiara sighed, truthfully there were times she wondered the same thing, she wondered if Eglantine had taken better care of her self could may have lived through the birth of the twins.

"I know she would have prefered to live Edwin, but a mothers love for her unborn children is strong. She wanted the twins to live Edwin, even is she did not" she said.

It was true, she didn't know how many times she would have died to save her children from death if it would have made a difference.

She kissed Ewans small forehead and rubbed his back.

Edwin sighed. "I guess..." he muttered. The world had become a darker and deadly place in his mind. His mother's life had been squandered and his step-father was a shell compared to how he had been before.
"No doubt at any moment I will wake up..." he murmured, wrapping his arms around Kiara's waist and allowing her to comfort him...even if it was for a brief moment.

Kiara's heart broke at the sight of the boy who lost his mother, and in a way his father to. He was still a child whose main people in his life were his parents. It was no wonder he couldn't sleep.

Setting Ewan down for the moment she hugged Edwin, rubbed her hand over his back. She was more then willing to offer whatever comfort she could.

"I am so sorry Edwin... " she said as tears entered her eyes.

Horatio was heart broken and so focused on taking care of the twins he wasn't a person to comfort the grieving child. She had Ciaran to help deal with her grief. Edwin... who did he have to comfort him.

"I will stay here for as long as you want me to, alright?" she said softly and truth be told she felt comforted being with someone who knew some of her grief as well.

Ciaran as wonderful as he was, he wasn't close to Eglantine, she know that, she wasn't blind. So it was refreshing being in the same boat as someone else.

Edwin wanted to pull away. To say he was fine and sniff back his tears and continue with life. But Kiara was actually helping him...comforting him. And he wasn't sure if it was all that bad to be comforted. Maybe he was comforting her in return, after all, she had lost her mother as well.
But then she had a family to return to...she was an adult with a husband and three children, did she really need comfort? He wiped his eyes with the back of his sleeve and looked up at her.
He supposed all people needed comfort..even the grown up ones.

A tear slipped from her eyes, but she didn't bother to wipe it away, she knew Edwin needed this. She knew she needed this, plus it was such a rare moment for them she was glad she could be there for him. For she did truely worry for Edwin, she knew how close he and Eglantine had been. She looked down at Edwin, before she lowered herself to his hight.

Then she gathered him into her arms, "It is alright Edwin, right now if anyone needs to grieve it is you, I know trust me I know it hurts terribly that you lost her the way you did. I know the sleepless nights, seeing her face and knowing you will never see her alive again. I know the feeling of always feeling like you need to be strong for someone else.. and busying your self to hide the pain.... Until the point you are exhausted. It is alright, you don't need to be strong right now Edwin...Its alright to show your hurt" she said as tear flowed freely down her face now, this being the first time saying her problems with grieving over Eglantines death.

Edwin reached up to wipe the tear from his sister's face, sniffing as she lowered herself to his height. At 13, he was hardly small or short, but he was shorter than her. He allowed her to pull him closer and wrapped his arms around her neck.
"Of course you do..." he murmured, tears making their way down his face. "You feel them too."

Together the siblings grieved the passing of their mother. A mother that to one had been his world while to the other was what could have been...

Kiara had cried for a good while, with Edwin, she felt as if she could cry for alot longer but she ran out of tears after a while.

She continued to rub the young teens back, letting him let out the feeling he had been holding inside himself. She was hoping after this he could sleep better, feel better in general. The hurt would of course always be there, but she was hoping it would a bit lighter now.

Edwin sniffed as the tears began to subside. "Thanks." he murmured, already feeling better.

Kiara nodded "It is no problem Edwin, I hope you feel a little better, and if you need anything, want to talk, or sleep some where with no screaming babies I am just a floo call away alright."

"And thank you Edwin I need this to.... Ciaran is Great, but... he wasn't close to her.. " she said with a sigh, sometimes his made a world of difference when you have someone who felt what you did.

Edwin crossed his arms over his chest, conjuring a handkerchief to hand over to Kiara. He nodded. "I tried to talk...but he's not willing to." he murmured, referring to Horatio. There was something in his manner of speaking that left it known that he wasn't sure how to refer to his step-father.
"He packed away all her things...except the wands..."

Kiara nodded, she accepted the handkerchief wiped her now blood shoot eyes.

"Give him time Edwin, I will talk to him, if I need to..."

She nodded breifly to his stament about the wands, she got the distinct feeling those were the Twins wands now. Given the nature of there creation.
