The Ivanna Royale Casino was built and is owned by Maksim Zakharovich Kaminski, and is named after his great-great-grandmother Ivanna Borislava Kaminski. Ivanna's husband was responsible for bringing the family name into the circles of elite purebloods. It is a secret that the Kaminskis are part of the wizarding version of the Russian mafia, though for some it is considered an open secret. Regardless, no one speaks of it openly here. A mostly-wholesome image is maintained here, and that is how Maksim wants it to appear.

With that, it is no surprise then to know that most of the employees are part of the Kaminskaya Bratva - an individual 'gang' of sorts amongst the mafia as a whole. They are just a small portion of a larger group, known as the Sokol, or Sokolov. Oddly and ironically enough, this is the maiden surname of Maksim's wife. The common motif within the casino and adjoining restaurant and hotel is that of various birds of prey.
