If you can.
A single tower, windowless, on an otherwise barren (even of grass) hilltop. Well...a hilltop with very steep sides. More like a big pyramid mountain really. Ordinary humans had best bring climbing gear. And some spare lives.
If you thought about burrowing through the hill, don't waste your time. It's solid rock about a metre below the surface. And it will hurt if you hit yourself on it. Just in case anyone was planning on it...
If you reach the summit, you shall notice the tower emerges from the ground, as thought the ground was built around it...Which would be weird.
The tower itself is about fifty metres tall, with one single platform at the top, a one metre in diameter, made of the same pale grey, perfectly smooth stone as the tower. There is no roof, just the platform open to the elements. A perfect landing spot for any vampires dropping by. Should anyone, immortal or otherwise, stand on the circle in the centre, it shall descend until it reaches the top of a staircase, where that person should then disembark.
After reaching the base of the staircase, all entrants are required to remove a small clear vial from it's space on the door (blackened iron, tall and very spiky) and drink the contents...Blood.
After this, they may enter, but watch out...The occupants dislike trespassers on thier turf. Only a true lunatic would attempt to enter this lair, hidden in the centre of an amazingly rock-solid hill, with many rooms and halls, all dark apart from the occasional candle, as an afterthought.
Oh, and watch your step, any mortals that enter here...
A vampire Prince is in residence...
And hormonal vampires are surprisingly bloodthirsty.
