Nursery

Tatiana blinked the sleep from her eyes and yawned. She had just woken up from her nap, that meant she could go home soon and see her Mommy and Daddy.

That didn't mean she didn't love being with her Grandmama though, she was so very nice. She always tried her best to be good around her grand mother, and not cause trouble.

Being 3 years old she was big enough to climb out of her crib, with a plop on the floor she got up and want to the doorhandle and she opened the door.

"Gandmama?" she asked in a newly woken up voice.

Eglantine sat in her rocking chair, gently rocking as she continued embroidering a small bear on a handkerchief.

She looked up and smiled at her granddaughter.
"Come here, Iana." she beckoned, laying aside the embroidery, she held her arms out for the young girl.
"Did you sleep well?" she asked.

Tatiana nodded her head entusiasticly. "Yes Grandmama" she said as she went over to her Grandmothers arms.

She looked curiously at the thing her Grandmother had put aside when she came in, "What are you doing?" she asked motioning to embroidary on the side.

Eglantine smiled at the question and gathered the handkerchief up to show Tatiana.
"Here we are, Knuddel." she held the handkerchief for her to see. A small bear lay amid a tangled blanket, his black eyes dancing his mischief as his paw dipped into a jar of honey. It was still and made of thread, but masterfully done so that with little imagination the bear seemed to laugh.
"Do you like it, Iana?" she asked, since the hanky was for the little girl, her liking it would be ideal.

Tatiana blinked at the hanky and big smile appeared on her lips, "It is cute and pwetty" she said as she as she looked at the design.

"Я люблю это" she said as she gently handed it back careful not to mess it up.

"That is good." Eglantine murmured, gently lifting Tatiana so she sat on her lap. She usually used either English or German with her granddaughter, trying subtly to help her learn those two languages.
"Would you like a snack now?" she asked, laying the handkerchief aside. She had made her granddaughter's favourite...

Tatiana nodded smiled, "yes, Please Grandmama... Then ve see Mommy?" she asked.

Eglantine nodded, rising from the chair and taking Tatiana's hand in her's. Together they descended the steps leading to the lower floor of the house.
