Underground Generator Room

Tav and Valerio tinkered for a long time to get these series of generators up and running so The Remnant could have at least a few of the muggle-variety creature comforts: electricity, plumbing, heat, and air conditioning... though they had to improvise on the air generator so that the Keep is kept well-ventilated. For the purpose of survival, though, they did remarkably well...


Come here to either:
- check on the generators and make sure they're working properly
- seek a sense of solitude - there's a soundproofing charm on the generators
- find a bit of unimportant machinery to tinker with for a while. You'll find a tool kit mounted to the wall.
- meander between classes, rooms, and such

Eliza stumbled into the generator room, sobbing.

She sat with her back against the wall, her sobs muffled by the clanking of the generator.

What did Fitz know anyway?! He had memories...More than she'd ever have...He didn't have to cope with never knowing what her parents looked like or sounded like...Pictures didn't help, she never recognised them...Even a video recording would be of no use, she still wouldn't recognise her own parents! He heart ached with loss and she just wanted to hide from the world...

She pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped arms around her head, still sobbing.

((Aww...Poor Eliza...Mean Fitz! lol))

"Eliza?" Will called out to her. "Eliza where are you?" He said over the Generator noise.

Eliza choked back her sobs, holding them inside, staying silent. Equally silently, she non-verbally cast a spell, allowing her to blend into the background, to the extent where she was invisible.

She didn't want to talk to her idiot brother...Especially not while she was crying.

"Eliza? Eliza please!" Will said desperately. "I'm sorry!"

Of course, he practically yelled as the generator's hum drowned any small noise. He wandered in deeper in the Generator until, unknownst to him he was right by the charmed Eliza.

"I didn't mean to say that." Will apologised, "It was stupid of me, Eliza please come out. I'm truly sorry."

Still unsucessful he continued on. "I didn't mean to hang that in front of you..."

It was then he decided to confess something to her he'd never said aloud. "I don't remember them much as well."

He sighed. "I know I like to talk about them, what they used to do, how they looked like, what they used to say... but I was just a kid then, I mean... I was barely six. How much do you really remember from when you were six? I just didn't want to forget the memories I remembered of them... and I knew it upset you that you barely had any. I knew it and I still said it. Some big brother I am. It was low of me to say that. It was stupid. I'm sorry Eliza."

Eliza blinked, several times.

But she forgave him.

Without removing the charm, she wrapped her arms around his neck and cried into his shoulder. "'S okay..." She muttered as she struggled to stop tears.

((lol...how creepy must that be, an unseen sister hugging you...LOL))

((Very creepy but it's okay, Will's big fear is of bunnies, not unseen sisters hugging))

Will was rather shocked to feel something latch on to him but relax immediately when he heard his sister's voice. He returned her hug and let her cry on his shoulder. "I'm sorry sis."

"I know." Eliza sniffed. "I just...I miss them...And...I don't know why they had to die."

Will sighed and held his sister. "Because the world is a very unfair place, don't worry though, we'll make it right soon enough."

Eliza continued to cry, but removed the spell camoflagueing her.

"...But what if we mess it up?"

"We won't," Will said confidently. He rubbed her comfortingly on her back. "I'll make sure of it."

Eliza sniffed again. "But what if we end up destroying ourselves?"

"I won't let that happen," Will said in his big brother voice. "I'll protect us, anyway I can, I promise."

Eliza sighed. "I know...Big brother."

"Now, let's get out of here, the generator is giving me a migrane." Will said.

Eliza pulled away and dried her eyes, waving her wand. "I find it sounds like a human heart...that just keeps going and never stops...it makes me feel hopeful, that there is life...and it will always keep going."

"Well usually the human heart isn't so noisy." Will commented.

Eliza shrugged. "It is, but everything else is so much louder, we can't hear it."

"Yes, everything is louder, like this generator!" Will said.

Eliza laughed. "Well, it's a lot quieter outside."

"That's what I was trying to say." Will said. "Come on, I'm hungry, let's get something to eat..."

Eliza rolled her eyes and left the room.
