Above Ground: Chapel (Connected to Apse; leads to everywhere else above ground)

Rossa blinked as the ghost came out of the organ, and she suddenly cursed her shy side as she forced her self not to look at the floor. Now was not the time to have her mind go blank.

She blowed her head slightly as a sign of respect and greeting.

"Hello Sir my name is Rossalyn McConn, I was informed by Demyan Kaminski you and your companions have a proposition for us? To educate us?" she asked.

Lucifer who along with Maximus had followed their father out of the organ nodded dully. "...And? Don't tell me you came here merelu to state the obvious." The elder son scoffed.

Rossa glared but asked respectflly "No sir, I am just curious as to what brand of magic you are going to instruct us in?" she was sorted into Ravenclaw after all of she was anxious to learn what the 3 ghosts were going to teach them that the graduates of hogwarts couldn't.

Lucifer glared in return. "Nothing, if you continue to demonstrate that same attitude..." he replied venomously.

"Anything and everything." Malachite replied. "Of course you have about a handful of over age witches and wizards here, some lucky enough to have graduated, but is that really enough for you all? Do you feel content with just that?"

As the grouchy one didn't really answer her she ignored him as she doubted he would respond any better to a remark. "That must be who Demyan called Luci.... at least I hope so. I that is the nice one we are doomed"

Rossa nodded "That sounds wonderful, that answers me question, no don't I feel content with that. However up till now that is all we had, so I think everyone is eager for more knowledge on everything"

"Indeed. T'will be interesting how everyone fares during our lessons. We require absolute dedication and any foolish behavior will not be tolerated. Our patience is very limited." Malachite warned.

"Especially him," Maximus gestured with his head over to Lucifer.

Lucifer scowled in reponse but remained silent, opting to ask a question he had been curious about. "What would you say was the blood status of those we are teaching? Pure? A few half-bloods?" he crinkled his nose. "We're not going to be wasting our time on mudbloods are we?"

Rossa nodded to Malachite, "most of us are pretty serious when is comes to studying, so I don't there will be to many problems"

She raised her eye brow when he indicated "Luci" had no patience.

"Isn't that a shocker" she said sarcasticly.

At Luci's comment about blood status she scowled, and glared at him.

"Not that it is any of your business or that it matters, but no, there are no Muggle borns here, we all had magical parents... but I will have you know the best witch and wizard I knew were muggle-borns.....So you don't know what you are talking about" she paused for a moment the she added "Sir.."

She left out the fact she was adopted.

Lucifer howled with dry laughter at Rossa's comment, the other two, though had much more self-control controlled their laughter, keeping it strictly in the 'snicker' zone. After all, what could one expect from ghosts from that era, not to mention a dynasty firmly set on those beliefs.

"Well you certainly need to get out more then, don't you? A mudblood a talented witch? Hmmph. Balderdash!" Lucifer scoffed. "Oh don't tell me. You yourself are actually a mudblood though choose to cover it considering you are surrounded by those of greater blood status? I thought your eyes seemed too far apart..."

Malachite sighed and rolled his eyes, reminding himself to have a word with Lucifer regarding self-control.

Rossa glared at all three ghosts, who were they to say anything about blood status, when they did even have any blood?!

"Obviously, it is ya people the don't get out much... The last Headmistress of Hogwarts was a muggle born, and did very well at it up till the day she was killed by purgers.... I am not a muggle born either, Luci, I was born in a magical hospital and to a witch just like ya."

"And may I add, ya don't even have any blood!, so ya have no right to even laugh at muggle borns" she said taping her foot looking very annoyed at the ghost in front of her.

"If you say so..." Lucifer replied, shrugging with a smirk. "But don't you dare compare yourself to me."

This time it was not only Lucifer angered, but all three, especially the Patriarch of the long pureblood clan. "Watch yourself, girl." he hissed in a low, lethal tone. "Don't underestimate us or take us for granted, otherwise nothing but regret will fall unto you. Just because we are reduced to incorporeal beings does not mean we are and were nothing in previous lifetimes." Malachite warned

"Keep that in mind, kid." Maximus added, nodding with a neutral, icy expression. After all, if one would merely look closer to the back of Maximus'neck, Lucifer's arm, and Malachite's chest, one would see a symbol revealing exactly which clan all three belong to.

Rossalyn stiffened as she counted to 10 in her mind, if the was one thing she hated it was being look down on for no good reason, and by reason of blood status was hardly a good reason in her book.

"hmph... For 3 ghosts who sure like to dish out blood insults you certainly take them very well' she said cautiously.

She wouldn't apologize they started it after all.

"What family were... or are... you three from any way? since you'er obviously pureblood?" she asked a little more subbuded with the death glares.

"We're pureblood. One of the purest in Wizarding Society. Why should we be given blood insults?" Lucifer scowled nastily.

"That is none of your concern, not to mention confidential." Malachite replied cooly. If it was absolutely necessary to reveal his identity, he'd prefer to "come clean" to someone else. Someone who, in his opinion, retained a higher sense of courtesy and respect for the proper things in life.

Rossalyn shook her head, exasperated by their almighty atitude.

"Fine, have it your way, in this chaple, you are almighty purebloods, and I but the daughter of two muggle borns. But in the real world Purity of blood doesn't matter anymore, there is light and dark, nothing else."

She enclined her head when they refused to say anything of what family they were from which she found odd, but no big deal.

"Fair enough, but I was just curious... you did ask about our blood history after all. Can you honestly blame me for asking?"

"Indeed. Which is one of the reasons we wholly support your quest to change the past. It is disheartening to know all the other purebloods have been annihilated and left the world with halfbloods and mudbloods." Malachite nodded.

"Why should we not blame you for asking? We are your elders and of higher rank so one can not pry into our affairs as though it were nothing. But then again, considering you were raised by mudbloods, what can we honestly expect?" Lucifer scoffed.

Rossa glared at Mal "That isn't the reason why we are going back ya know, but ironic though isn't? It was a bunch of powerful half bloods and muggle borns that killed off just about all the purebloods.. execpt the ones that live here" she said.

"But then again, considering you were raised by mudbloods, what can we honestly expect?"

Rossa snapped, she had had it with these snobs, "Will ya stop calling them that?! My Mother and Father were powerful and wise, more so then you could ever know! Hogwarts wouldn't have never have stood for as long as it did if weren't for me Mother and Father. It only fell when me Mother and Father were murdered after fighting the purgers. Ya have no right to insult them, bloody purebloods or not!" she yelled angrily. Her eyes growing conciderably darker as the air crackled around her.

The knowlegde that they were ghosts was the only thing stoping her from raising her wand.

"That isn't the reason why we are going back ya know, but ironic though isn't? It was a bunch of powerful half bloods and muggle borns that killed off just about all the purebloods.. execpt the ones that live here"

"Naturally, but it was nothing but dishonorable duels: often many half and mudbloods against one. Nothing more than a coward's revenge." Malachite explained, his emerald orbs glowing fiercely, his disgust at the Purger's cowardly deeds evident.

"Pathetic." Maximus added, nodding solemnly.

"Will ya stop calling them that?! My Mother and Father were powerful and wise, more so then you could ever know! Hogwarts wouldn't have never have stood for as long as it did if weren't for me Mother and Father. It only fell when me Mother and Father were murdered after fighting the purgers. Ya have no right to insult them, bloody purebloods or not!"

Maximus snickered. "Bloody purebloods..." he managed in between silent laughter, finding the pun, intended or not, quite humerous

Lucifer rolled his eyes. "Who the helll do you think you're kidding? Every Hogwarts Headmaster or Mistress has magic bound to Hogwarts, abilities no other truly has. It has nothing to do with personal magic!"

He smirked. "And for the record, it isn't murder if they were dueling. It's called being defeated. And quite frankly, I may say anything I wish. Especially regarding mudbloods."

Rossa had to agree with them about the tactic the purgers used, her parents and everyone else parents would still be alive have the purgers hadn't been such cowards.

Rossa raised her eye brow a Maximus, she hadn't expected him or any of them for that matter to find it funny.

It was Rossa's turn to roll her eyes, "My mother was a expert with protective charms, Sir the major protections around Hogwarts in addition to the normal wards had everything to do with personal magic. I saw her cast the runes around the castle my self! Along with my brothers" she said.

Rossa wished for that moment Luci came back to life, just she could curse him back in to oblivion.

She said nothing but sent him her deadliest glare. There was nothing she could say to stop him from saying anything and he knew it.

"Arrogant wind bag" she mumbled.

She wouldn't show respect to this guy until she saw some.

"My mother was a expert with protective charms, Sir the major protections around Hogwarts in addition to the normal wards had everything to do with personal magic. I saw her cast the runes around the castle my self! Along with my brothers"

Lucifer released a bark of dry laughter. "How much of an expert could she be considering she still got herself defeated? And if she truly was as powerful as you wish she was, the charms would still be intact to this day!"

Lucifer didn't even flinch at the glare, instead smirking. "Mudblood Jr."

Rossa growled, "You try putting up a thousand year old protection charm strong enough to keep that Purger away.... The only way was to tie the spell to her life force, that way now matter what no purger could get through."

It was common knowledge that old magics were hard to cast, and required a lot of magical power to maintain, but they were virtually impossible to break as long as the caster was alive.

"Mudblood Jr?" she rolled her eyes. "How original, come with that all by your self did" though her tone of voice showed she was not impressed.

"Surprised you can come up with anything with that closed, narrow minded head of yours....." she mumbled as she turned to walk away.

True, right now it stood between existence and nonexistence but it was only because the last heir, Amaranth, was dead. Should one of the children acknowledgement of the Manor it would spring back to life, charms and all. Assuming, of course, the bloody dagger wasn't in one of the Purger's possession...

"Silence." Malachite commanded towards both Rossalyn and Lucifer, moreso to the latter however. "It matters not what our view points are, only our goals which are closely entwined. Now, we know we have at least one student. The question is if you are willing to listen to our 'closed narrow minded heads'. The choice is yours so choose wisely, for should you refuse you will not be given the chance to reconsider."

Rossalyn rolled her eyes at Luci, never had she met someone so disrespectful.

She nodded her head, " You are right of course, If ya're willing ta teach, I will of course listen and learn from what you know to the best of my ability. You have one more student." she said with a nod.

She didn't like it, but the three ghosts held knowledge that could be invaluable to them.

They maybe pompous arrogant purebloods, with a huge superiority complex, but they were the only option, and she knew it.

Demyan saw no other color but red.

He might've calmed down considerably in front of Rossa, but deep inside the teenage boy a hurricane was brewing. It was the calm before the storm...

Wand out, Demyan Kaminski spelled the door to the derelict chapel from the effigy room to swing open and crash deafeningly against the wall on its hinges. Finding the space seemingly empty, Demyan took a deep, unsteady breath.

"HEEEY!" he shouted at the top of his lungs. Instead of proceeding between two rows of pews in an orderly fashion, Demyan went through them literally, scattering wood from the seats and bibles this way and that. He didn't care that he was in an abandoned church... didn't care how antique the benches were or how dusty the tomes would be.

All he wanted to do was make enough of a mess to be noticed by the three ghosts.

Eventually, the boy doing a very good impression of an angry bull stomped up to the organ. "I need a vord vith whoever's in here this instant!" Demyan roared, rapping his knuckles on the side of the instrument.

"I'd better be seeing some ectoplasm soon or I vill **** up this organ so bad ya'll von't know vich vay is up!"

Once again, the three ghosts found themselves in their dwelling deep inside the organ, relaxing after their rather busy day. At least, they were until they heard what sounded like a hurricane or an angry teenager wrecking havoc upon their home. Lucifer stuck his head out of the organ briefly, smirking at the sight. "It's the kid, again." He reported as all three ghosts vacated the vibrating organ.

Maximus let out a whistle as a raging Demyan was revealed. "He looks mad." he remarked, keenly observing the teen.

Both ghosts rolled their eyes. "Is he? I hadn't noticed..." Lucifer replied dryly, observing the trashed chapel. "Didn't your parents ever teach you not to trash chapels? Honestly..."

"What is the matter, boy?" Malachite asked with a flicker of genuine concern in his emerald orbs. He for one had no idea what could be causing his grandson to react in such a state.

'About time...' Demyan's thoughts shook his very center. There was a fire in the emerald orbs, mixed with the ice.

"Didn't your parents ever teach you not to trash chapels? Honestly..."

The teen crossed his arms over his chest defiantly. "They di~ed-duh!" Demyan spat, emphasizing the word so much that it sounded rather warped on his lips. "Or did you conveniently forget that part?"

"What is the matter, boy?"

Normally, Maximus or Malachite would be the voices of reason. Or, as far as normal got when he'd only really had one conversation with the ghosts. "What's the matter? What's the ****ing matter?!" Demyan asked in hysterics, voice cracking.

Gotta love that little thing called puberty... and just how squeaky young boys' voices had the potential to get during such a time.

"I thought you lot vanted to teach us - all of us - in order to help change our fates? Or does my girlfriend not count solely because of something she has no control over?! Because she is not vell-born into the high and mighty noble families?! Vot in the name of ******* Hades gives anyvone the right to judge people by pedigree?! This isn't the effing Middle Ages anymore - Get over it!" Demyan ranted, chest heaving by the time he'd finished. There was plenty more he could say, but only the chance of possibly being heard screaming at the ghosts from below-ground made him hold his tongue.

He needed to catch his breath, anyway, after that particular outburst.

"They di~ed-duh! Or did you conveniently forget that part?"

Malachite flinched slightly upon witnessing the magnitude of anger erupting from Demyan. "That is impossible to forget..." he replied, adding in a muttered tone. "Especially given the circumstances..."

As inconspicuously as possible, Maximus back away slowly, millimeter by millimeter so there was at least some distance between them.

"I thought you lot vanted to teach us - all of us - in order to help change our fates? Or does my girlfriend not count solely because of something she has no control over?! Because she is not vell-born into the high and mighty noble families?! Vot in the name of ******* Hades gives anyvone the right to judge people by pedigree?! Malachite opened his mouth to justify his actions, only to be cut off by the dry, highly amused and disgusted laugh at what had been uttered cadencing from Lucifer. "Ha! Blood status boy: dynasties, legacies. That's an inherited right! And don't kid yourself boy, for when you insult us you insult your Mother. After all, she was one of us: a pureblood with a loathing for anything less. Especially mudbloods!" he smirked. "Why, I'm sure if you search through old Ministry Files on murdered mudbloods and muggles you'd find some of your Mother's personal legacy..."

He snorted. "The poor pureblood must be rolling in her grave knowing you're mingling with a mudblood... Good thing she died before she witnessed such a horror. Merlin knows I'm nauseated just with the mere knowledge of such a union."
