**Welcome to Greenhouse Four!**

Professor Addams has for the most part left this greenhouse empty, favoring it for a student supply shed and specimen growing area. Those participants in class projects should appropriately label their plants and keep their plant journals here. The pigeonhole cubby spaces - visually enccoded by the house's dominant color - at the front of the greenhouse as one enters holds everyone's plant journals when not in use... the Professor may or may not have left you a note, so be sure to check whenever you have a plant in progress here!
Professor Ethan Addams's Herbology Game!
Ethan will assign his students a plant to take care of in addition to the regular homework. Depending on how well... or not so well a plant does, he will award extra House Points (to the successful caretakers, anyway). So, without further adieu, let’s get to it!
Please use this form when posting your actions for the “day”:
- Code:
-
[b]Name:[/b] ((Your character’s name, not the plant! xD))
[b]Current Status of <Plant Name>:[/b] ((If you’re just starting, just say "Seedling"))
[b]Day:[/b] X:Y ((x is the # of days you’ve "played", while y is the total number of days assigned))
[b]Action:[/b] ((what did you do to the poor plant? Lol, j/k))
[b]Greenpoints:[/b] See Below
Names – I’d prefer Last Name, Given Name... but I’ll leave that up to the individual
Current Status – I’ll... excuse me, Ethan will tell you what the Status of your plant is. There are 6 stages: Flourishing, Healthy, Happy, Sickly, Dying, and Dead. Because you always start out with 5 greenpoints (discussed later), your plant is immediately considered ‘Happy’ for a 3-day, and ‘Sickly’ for a 5-day project.
Day – Ratio format; 3:5 is 3 of 5 and so on. Keeps track better that way, in my opinion.
Action – You have a variety of actions in regards to your plant, though most of them will require the use of your GreenPoints, which will be discussed in greater detail in a moment. You may provide one of the following per day:
- Quote :
- Sun [wait] (no greenpoint cost)
- Water the plant (.5 greenpoint cost)
- Provide the soil with some Dragon Dung (1 greenpoint cost)
- Provide Mooncalf Dung (1.5 greenpoint cost, but multiplies any positive result by 2; can only be used once per plant project)
- Medi-Plant Potion (3 greenpoint cost; removes the Sicken Effect).
The Power of Greenpoints!
Greenpoints will be what Ethan uses to measure how well you’re mastering taking care of the plant. When starting out you are automatically given 5 greenpoints. There are different values attributed to each randomly-selected result:
Thrive = 5 greenpoints increase (your current greenpoints +5)
Grow = 2.5 greenpoints increase (current points +2.5)
No Progress = 0 greenpoints (obviously)
Wilt = 2 greenpoints decrease (current greenpoints – 2)
Sicken = 4 greenpoints decrease (gp – 4), plus an additional 1 greenpoint decrease (gp - 1) for each day the plant is left untreated with the Medi-Plant Potion.
Finally, there’s the possibility that you might kill your plant in the attempt to coax it into Flourishing Status. Once the plant is Dead, it can’t be brought back.
Ethan will only be assigning 3- and 5-day projects. If your plant is not dead by the end of the project, you will receive half the amount of your greenpoints as additional House Points earned for your House. With three days, and quite a bit of luck, you could earn as many as 7 points. With 5 days, the maximum potential could very well be 12 points.

FAQ
Have a question about this game? PM me or ask in the chatbox! I came up with a few, but feedback is always appreciated!
Q: How are the Results determined (whether the plant wilts or thrives, etc.)?
A: Well, you see, I have several folded slips of paper and a little bowl made of coconut shell... no, I’m not kidding. It’s luck of the draw, and yes, your plant could instantly “die” if that particular variety of results is selected. But I’ve played a few rounds of it to ensure that it is fair.
Q: I see math involved...
A: It’s not much. And I’ll be checking nonetheless – no worries. ^_^
Q: Will Ethan give out clues often?
A: No.
Q: Can we rp in addition to the form?
A: Yes. You may rp your actions in regards to caring for the plant, and speaking with others while you check on your plants.
