The Kitchens

"Not better than the Spanish one." Diana said folding her arms. "They've got the best Keeper in the entire Professional League."

"Yes," Helena said. "And Diana fancy's him."

Zabby shook her head. "I saw him fumble an easy save last year. It was bad..." She grinned. "Oh, really, Diana...?"

"No! Well... alright maybe... but you gotta admit, he's pretty fit." Diana admited.

"We're entitled to off days once in awhile. Besides the saves he made this season... you know the saves that enabled them to win this year? Yeah I think I evens it out, don't you think?" Diana defended.

Zabbr raised an eyebrow. "I willl admit that, but, everyday for him is an off day for him."

"Whatever Zabby," Diana said. "The Spanish Nation League won this season and I don't think it's from pure luck."

Helena laughed. "Now Diana, play nice."

Zabby shook her head. "I can handle a little heat. Most of the wins were because of their seeker. The only game they didn't win was the one with England, and that was because they had Potter and mum."

"I thought you said they only played for the Ministry team?" Diana said raising her brow.

((Lustre you confused me. I thought you were talking about the Minestry teams still.))

Zabby frowned. "I am...Are we talking about the same guy?"

((Lol. I blame Diana. I have no control over what she says))

"I don't think so." Diana said raising her brow.

"Well, now that that's settled, anyone to play Quidditch?" Helena said.

Zabby nodded. "I do. Chaser. You two?"

"Keeper," Diana said.

"Chaser," Helena grinned. "To the Quidditch Pitch?"

Zabby pointed in the air. "To the Quiddich pitch!"

Nicolas stood in front of the large painting of a bowl of fruit. He looked around for Marco who should have been right behind him.

Marco followed Nicolas to wherever the kitchens were located here in Hogwarts Castle. Not a native or recent-transfer to the academic facility, the young man had no real idea where he was headed. In his hands was the cauldron of potion Stefan had concocted.

He considered themselves extremely lucky they weren't seen en route on their mission. Then again: they were the Conquistadors! With as many heads involved in the plot as they had, when a prank was about to get underway almost every variable seemed to have a countermeasure surrounding it.

"How do we get in?" he asked Nicolas in a whisper.

"We use," Nicolas said dramatically. "The secret key."

He held out his index finger. "This."

And with 'the secret key' he bend down slightly and tickled the green pair. Like magic, the portrait door swung open, giving Nicolas and Marco a good view of the Kitchen.

Inside, there was a bustle of movement, what else did you expect in a room filled with House-Elves and an up-and-coming dinner task?

Nicolas chambered in and he was greeted immediately by the house-elves eager to please.

"Where is Dwinkle?" Nicolas asked craning his neck for the head house-elf.

"Dwinkle is here Sir," a house-elf answered to Nicolas' right.

"Ahh, there you are," Nicolas looked around for Marco. "Is everything in order Dwinkle?"

"Yes, Nicolas sir, the Feast is just about to begin, Dwinkle made sure everything is in order." The elf said practically besides himself.

"This Marco Manici," Nicolas said to the elf. "My friend and he will help us with our... endevour. Marco, the cauldron please?"

Marco snickered in response to learning what the 'secret key' was, shaking his head slightly when Nick's back was turned. The Italian boy was not surprised to see the scene before him being almost chaotically busy with dinner preparations and assorted other commotion. Marco followed Nick inside, careful to mind the contents of the cauldron he carried.

He watched the conversation between the Conquistador co-founder and House-elf, nodding when his name was mentioned. When Nick asked for the cauldron, Marco immediately handed it over, a smirk in place at the thought of what they were about to do.

Nicolas mirrored Marco's mischievious smirk with one of his own. "Perfecto." Nicolas sighed with glee.

He handed it to Dwinkle who took it gladly and bowed. The elf disappeared into the crowd and Nicolas turned to Marco.

"Now all we have to do is head off to the Great Hall, sit back, relax and enjoy the show." He had on an arrogant grin.

Marco grinned in reply, and nodded. "Should be fun," he agreed, mirroring the arrogant countenance.

"Shall we go then? Wouldn't want to miss a bit of it, now would we?"

"I'm already out the door, 'Pollo, I'm already out the door." Nicolas smirked, overtaking Marco and going out the same way they came.

"To the Great Hall!" Nicolas said pointing intently forward.

Marco rolled his eyes at the nickname he'd been dubbed with. All of the Conquistadors had used it at one point or another, though he couldn't remember who had started that little habit. "You just wait - I'm gonna find a nickname for you one of these days!" he replied in a mock-threat before joining his fellow Conquistador in the hall, which required a few expert maneuvers around various house-elves.

"To the Great Hall!" Marco echoed, though was nearly barreled over by none other than Hermes... also known as Edvard "Eddie" Kaiser.

"Sorry, I got lost! Did I miss anything? You guys didn't get caught, didja? ... haha, not much of a disguise for the kitchens, is it?" Eddie asked energetically, taking note of the portrait of a bowl of fruit.


((Eddie was practically jumping up and down in hopes he would be mentioned, so I had to add him. ^_^))

Diana ticked the pear that allowed her to through the kitchens.

"Hello Miss, what can we do for you?" A house-elf greeted her.

"I just wanted some ice cream." Diana said her voice trembling a little bit, but otherwise it sounded normal. She felt really silly. It had been a long time since Nick had managed to make her cry.

Darien paused and looked round at the familiar voice.

"Diana." He smiled, though he was still quite irritated from the earlier Library scene. "Didn't expect to see you here."

"Oh," Diana had jumped slightly. She hastily wiped her eyes to make sure it wasn't obvious that she had been crying. "I didn't expect anyone here."

"How was the talk with Nick?" Darien didn't look her in the eye.

Diana sighed and answered him sarcastically. "Fun as usual."
