Zeph paused. "Bon question."

Darien scooped up the plate. "Are we ready?"

"Bon?" Darius said confused.

"Yes we are." Diana said putting everything back in their proper place.

Zeph shrugged. "My m-She says it sometimes. It's like...good."

"Ladies first." Darien smirked, balancing the sandwiches on one hand.

"Bon!" Darius said. He liked to learn new things.

"Oh stop it." Diana said grinning and she lead the way upstairs.

Darien kept grinning and followed Diana up the stairs.

"We brought food!" He called, and Zeph's ears perked up.

Darien entered the room and put the sandwiches down on an empty patch of floor. "Who wants sandwiches?"

"Meeeee!" Darius said running towards the food. "Choo! Choo!"

He grabbed a sandwich and took a great big bite.

Diana helped herself to a sandwich as well and sat on Darius bed.

Darien leant on the wall nearest the door, watching with amusement.

Zeph tentatively grabbed a sandwich, and devoured it almost whole.

Darien darted a look at Diana. What were they going to say?

"Daddy, do you wanta sandwich?" Darius asked after swallowing a bite. "It's good!"

Diana exchanged a look of concern as well. What were they going to say.

"No, I'm fine. You guys have them." Darien smiled at his son.

Zephir grabbed two more and began to devour them.

Darien cleared his throat. "So...Zephy-boy...how'd you get here?"

Zeph shrugged. "Walked." He took another bite.

"You walked all the way here to where your house is? Diana said incredulous.

"Where do you live Zephy?" Darius asked all wide-eyed.

Zeph shook his head. "I walked through the green fire. But I fell out too early and had to walk here."

Darien frowned. The green fire? The floo network?

Zeph shrugged. "In big block. There's lots of flat houses on top of each other."

"Can I visit your house too Zephy?" Darius asked eating another sandwich.

"Zephir, why did you run away?" Diana asked.

Zephy shook his head. "I don't live there any more. It isn't my house. I'll get my own house and then you can come visit me."

He paused. "'Cos they don't want me. And I don't want them. All they do is yell and it's annoying. I don't need them, I can do fine on my own. I can use green fire." He declared the last with slight pride.

"Wow." Darius said fully impressed.

"But I'm sure your parents are looking for you." Diana said. "Don't you miss them?"

Zeph sat up a bit straighter, pleased to impress his 'little brother'.

"They won't be." He folded his arms. "I don't miss them at all. I'm better without them."

Diana glanced at Darien for help.

"Daddy!" Darius ran up to Darien's legs and hugged him.

Darien smiled and scooped Darius up into a hug.

"Won't you miss them even a little? I mean, they are your parents after all." He asked Zephir.

Zeph pouted. "Maybe I don't want them to be my parents. I don't need adults, I could buy my own house."

"Look, I'm a Monkey." Darius said hanging from Darien.

"Zephir, you're awfully sure about all of this." Diana said.

Darien laughed, swinging the boy gently. "Daddy's little monkey-boy."

Zeph frowned. "...Shouldn't I be?"

"Weeee!" Darius said.

"I don't know Zephir." Diana said sighing. "Well, for now, you can stay here."

Darien chuckled.

Zeph nodded. "Thank you."

Darien glanced at the blonde boy. "You know, your parents will be pretty worried about you...Don't you want to tell them you're alright?"

Zeph folded his arms. "No. Then they'd come and get me."
