2029-A Dramatic Plot twist occurs! (Fixed Future)

"See, I told you they'd be home, Princessa," Nicolas said, grinning. Aurora shared his grinned and eloped Darius into a bear hug. And then she noticed Zephir and looked at him curiously.

"Nick, what are you doing here?" Diana asked surprised.

"Nothing, just thought I'd visit," Nicolas said plopping down to the nearby couch. "How's it going, Vaight?"

((Hmm... perhaps it wasn't such a good idea to bring in Nicolas AND Aurora... O.o Want to take Darius over?))

"Could be better..." Darien replied through gritted teeth.

Darius blinked in confusion. What was the evil 'princess' planning? But he returned the hug anyway, if a bit gingerly. Darius noticed Aurora's curiousity and decided to explain. "This is Zephir, he's my brudder!" He declared proudly.

Darien swore inwardly at his outburst, glancing across at Diana for help.

Zephir stared back at Aurora. If Darius seemed happy to see the small girl, she was probably okay, he reasoned, switching his glare of suspicion to Nick.

"Your brother?" Aurora said looking at Zeph uncertain. "But... you don't have a brother." Aurora looked at her father for confirmation.

Nicolas nodded but then seemed unsure and looked at Darius, "What do you mean your brother?"

Diana looked at Darius nervously.

Darius frowned. The grown-ups were being strange.

"He's my brudder!" He repeated, wondering what the adults didn't seem to understand.

Darien said nothing, remaining stock-still and staring at the floor.

Zeph didn't know who the strange man and girl were, but he knew that Darius' parents were looking...uncomfortable. He wasn't sure he liked Diana and Darien looking uncomfortable...

"Who are you?" He pointed a finger at Nick, his tone demanding and bordering on rude.

"I am Nick," Nicolas said amused, "And who are you?"

"Zephir." Zeph replied with reluctance.

Darius took advantage of this oppurtunity to grab Zephir in a one-armed hug.

"He's my older brudder!" He declared proudly, watching the adults to see if they understood this time.

Darien froze. If there was one thing he didn't need right now, it was Nick knowing about his alleged son...

"Your older brother hmm?" Nicolas echoed but looking at Diana and Darien. "Now how is that possible?"

"Who wants so pumpkin juice?" Diana said in a total transparent attempt to get their attention away from Zephir.

"I do!" Aurora said perking up. The adults where being weird, there was no reason she shouldn't get pumpkin juice.

"Wonderful," Diana said warmly. "Anyone else?"

Zeph nodded. "Please." Darius grinned and also demanded pumpkin juice.

"I don't know." Darius shrugged. "Mummy won't tell me where babies come from."

Darien almost laughed, but held it in.

Diana summoned three cups and filled them with pumpkin juice, and gave the cup to each child. "Why don't you lot go upstairs?"

"Okay!" Aurora said after drinking and headed upstairs. She then looked to Darius and Zephir. "Come on! Let's play!"

Nicolas looked at them all calculatingly.

Darius drained half of his juice in one gulp. "What should we play?" He bounded up the stairs.

Darien stepped back to let the children pass, ready to shut the door behind them.

Zeph gave the three adults a confused yet suspicious look, and followed his "brother".

Darien shut the door quietly.

"How about... we play house?" Aurora said going up and turning to Darius' room.

"Well I know the little guy doesn't lie so one of you better tell me how it's possible," Nicolas trying to stare down Diana.

Diana stayed silent so he looked at Darien.

"...Okay." Darius agreed.

Zeph raised an eyebrow. "House? What's house?" His tone was unfriendly.

Darien glared back, but the glare faltered.

"...A-Apparently...he is my son."

The words hung in the air, and Darien was unable to look at Diana.

"Don't you know how to play house?" Aurora said astounded.

"Apparently?" Nicolas said subconsciously looking upwards where the kids would have been. "Who's the mother?" Nicolas glared at Darien.

"Nick, don't make this worst then it already is." Diana said quietly.

"Who's the mother?" Nicolas demanded again.

Zeph glared at her venomously.

"He's not got any other brudders 'cept me." Darius beamed proudly.

Darien gritted his teeth. "...That is irrelevant."

Aurora looked at Darius. "He isn't your brother."

"Your are right," Nicolas said. "It is irrelevant, because it obviously isn't Diana."

"Nick - " Diana said.

He cut her off. "Now, correct me if I am wrong, but having you two been together since... oh I don't know, we were in school?"

"He is!" Darius frowned.

Zeph said nothing. Darius blinked at Zeph's lack of protest to this outrageous statement.

"...Zephy?"

Zeph changed the subject. "Let's play house then." He felt oddly guilty.

"Despite your best efforts..." Darien snarled.

"Okay!" Aurora said easily distracted. "How old are you anyway?" She asked Zephir.

Out of nowhere, Nicolas took a punch at Darien.

"Eight." Zeph stated, somewhat proudly.

Darius smiled. "So...Let's play."

Darien was surprised, and the punch connected with the side of his face. Swearing, Darien resisted the urge to retaliate.

Barely.

"Mmkay," Aurora said. "But first we have to make our house." Aurora said looking around Darius' room. She spotted a blanket and grabbed it. "Help me make a house."

"Nicolas!" Diana said. But instead of going to Darien to see if he was okay, she just stood her ground.

Nicolas stood shaking his hand. "Don't tell me you didn't want to do that."

"We aren't even sure if what Celina said is true!" Diana said shaking her head.

"Celina? Celina Deville?!" Nicolas exclaimed. "Wow, this just gets better and better."

"Nicolas shut up." Diana said dangerously.

"But there's a possibility that the kid's his?" Nicolas pointed out. "How can you be all accepting this?"

"Stop making it worse!" Diana screeched, obviously upset.

Darius grabbed the other side of the blanket and unsuccessfully attempted to make a house.

Zeph grabbed the middle of the blanket. "What we need is some cord or something."

"Stop upsetting her!" Darien almost lashed out at Nick. "You're just messing everything up! It's not even likely that Zeph is mine! It doesn't add up!" He paused.

"Celina must be lying!" Darien almost muttered the words. It was his only hope. That Celina was lying.

"Yes, we need cord." Aurora said. "Darius go get some cord!"

"Upsetting her?" Nicolas said incredulous. "I'm not the one who slept with the french succubus and created a son out of wedlock!"

"Nicolas!" Several tears fell from Diana's eyes. "Just stop it!"

Darius darted to his dressing gown, and he pulled off the cord. "Will this do?"

Zeph nodded. "Maybe. Try it."

"I don't even know if I did! I don't even remember!" Darien made an effort to lower his shout so the children couldn't hear.

He was torn about comforting, well, attempting to comfort Diana, as he had the feeling he might make it worse.

But he decided to stuff it. He darted over to Diana and cautiously placed a hand on her shoulder, scared she would shake him off.

"Yes try it Darius!" Aurora encouraged. Then she glanced on the door outside. "Did you hear that?"

Diana didn't shake him off but she slightly tensed up when she felt his hand on her shoulder.

"Nicolas, I think you should leave." Diana said finally.

Nicolas looked at her.

"Just leave." She said. "I want to go lie down."

Darius carefully tied to cord to the door handle and the end of his bed, and with Zeph's help he threw the blanket over the top.

"...It's a bit small." Zeph remarked.

Darius grinned. "It's prefect!"

Darien stayed where he was, uncertain.

This was all his fault...Wasn't it?

However, Aurora agreed with Zeph. "Yeah it's a bit small."

Suddenly there was a call from the fire.

"Diana?" A voice called.

"That's Jackie," Diana whispered.

"Diana, we need you in St. Mungos. It's an energency."

"Can't this wait? I'm having a bit of a situation here." Diana replied.

"No. It's Mr. Elliot."

Diana sighed. She looked at Nicolas and Darien. "I'll be back..." And with that Diana disappeared in the flames.

Nicolas glared at Darien.
