Darien smiled, a true smile. "...The little tyke." He grinned.

Though his unspoken reply was a series of yays. And a thanks.

Diana smiled but then she turned sadden at the thought of what she had said to Nicolas earlier. She took a few steps towards him and embraced Darien. "Darien I don't know what to do..."

Darien hugged Diana close. "...Why don't you follow Nick's advice?"

Diana looked at him, not breaking off the embrace. "What do you mean? Where you listening...?"

Darien sighed. "Yes...I...I just wanted to know what you were thinking."

He turned his head away, staring at the carpet. "I don't blame you."

"No Darien," Diana pulled his face so that he'd see hers. "I'm not going to do it... I just told Nick that so he'll shut up."

Darien blinked in surprise. "You mean it?"

He hugged her even more tightly. "You, my love, are a saint..." He paused. "But if he is mine...what are we going to do about Celina? I mean, he's...so...I don't know...He just seems like..." He couldn't find the words to describe the boy.

"He's a boy that needs love..." Diana said frowning. "He is so young, yet he seems like he's old..."

"Of course I mean it..." Diana said. "I'm not saying that... I wasn't hurt because I was... I just... I can't take Darius away from you. He loves you, it would break his heart...." She paused. "I love you... It would break my heart."

"Yeah..." Darien nodded.

He looked Diana straight in the eye. "And I love you both...It would break my heart..." A thought hit him. "What will Darius say when Zeph has to go back to his mother?"

"I'm not sure..." Diana looked at Darien worriedly. "Hopefully he isn't too devastated. But Zephy is welcome to visit anytime..."

Darien nodded. "He really seems to like having a brother..." He almost laughed at the nickname. "Zephy...That must really damage his surly tough guy reputation."

"Well all only childs wish for a sibling..." Diana said seriously. "I knew I did... I hope you aren't implying anything Darien, I'm still angry at you."

"And all those with siblings wish to be alone." He smirked slightly.

Darien shook his head fervently. "No implication intended, I swear!"

Diana smiled, "I'm joking."

She turned back to the bedroom. "Coming?"

Darien smiled and followed her without a word.

Diana chambered up the bed, carefully so as not to wake Darius up. She kissed him before she snuggled under the covers.

Darien slipped into bed on the other side of his son, ruffling his hair slightly before closing his eyes.

"'Night."

"Night," Diana whispered.

Darius snaked his tiny little hand to his father's hand, and the other to his mother's hand and quietly dozed away.

Darien stirred, glancing sleepily at the clock. Eight o'clock.

What time was Celina coming? And was Zeph already awake? Darien sighed and pushed back the covers.

Zeph snoozed on, undisturbed by the glancing sunlight eating it's way through a gap in the curtains.

"Daddy, don't go yet." Darius said still half-asleep. "I'm still sleepy..."

Darien smiled and paused. "I'm just going to check on Zeph, I'll be back in a minute. Stay there with Mummy."

"Mmmkay..." And Darius was back to sleep again.

Darien chuckled quietly and slipped out onto the landing, and poked his head around the door.

He noticed Zeph was still asleep, smiled and returned to his and Diana's bedroom.

"Daddy," Darius said still in his sleepy state. "I'm hungry."

Darien grinned. "Well then, what would you like for breakfast?"
