2029-A Dramatic Plot twist occurs! (Fixed Future)

Diana looked at Darius and bit her lip. Then she went up to her husband and kissed him on the lips lightly.

"Yay!" Darius beamed at his father. "Do you feel better now Daddy?"

Darien laughed. "Much better, thank you." He paused. "I should probably go sort out my face. I'll be back in a minute."

He walked up the stairs two at a time.

Zeph blinked. He really did not understand how one simple peck on the lips could possibly fix a face...

"Wait Darien," Diana called out. She was angry at him, but... "I'll heal you." And she followed him upstairs.

Darien halted at the top of the stairs. "It's fine. I can handle it." He turned away.

Zeph looked at Darius quizzically. "What was all that about?"

Darius looked up at his mother and father sensing that something was wrong. "I think... I think somefink is wrong." He said softly.

Diana felt slightly hurt that Darien turned away from her but turned instead to Zephir and Darius. "Do you boys want something to eat?"

Zeph blinked. "Weird. Whacha reckon it is?"

Darien headed into the bathroom and began fixing his various facial injuries.

Zeph shrugged and glanced at Darius.

"I dunno!" Darius shrugged as well.

Diana frowned when she looked at Darius. "Honey, why are you wearing a hair tie?"

Zeph smirked slightly. He had honestly forgotten about that...

Darien emerged from the bathroom, looking normal once more. "A hair tie?!" He repeated, incredulous. "Who did this to you, my boy?" He demanded, eyes wide with exaggerated horror.

Darius quickly tried to getting it off of himself. "Ahhh geriioofff!"

Diana couldn't help but smile. "Here let me help you, Love."

Darius stopped struggling with the evil thing and let his mother pull it out.

"There you go," Diana ruffled his hair fondly. "Back to normal."

Darius was relieved. Then he noticed Darien. "Daddy! You're all better now!"

Darien grinned. "I guess that kiss did the trick." He patted his son's head.

Zeph blinked at the strange family scene, guilt assailing his mind.

His mother was lying.

And he was the only one that knew he was not Darien's son.

Darius smiled and said, "But I think Mummy should check you anyway Daddy coz she's the bestest healer in the world! Right Daddy?" He looked up at his father for reassurance.

Darien smiled, but the smile was oddly fixed. "Of course she is."

He did not look at Diana.

"We'll do it later, Love, it's getting late, you boys should start off to bed." Diana said looking at Darius and Zephir in turns.

"Awww... but mummy, I'm not sleepy yet..." Darius yawned. "No wait... that was..." he yawned again.

"Come on, Mr. No sleepy yet, let's get you ready for bed." Diana held his small hand in hers.

Darius pouted but let himself be dragged away.

"You'll just have to borrow some of Darius' jammies Zephir." Diana said looking back at him. "I'll just transfigure it to make it fit. How does that sound?"

Zephir nodded. "Thanks." He attempted a smile.

Darien grinned at the two boys. "I'll set up the spare bed in Darius' room." He headed to the room and proceeded to do so.

"You should smile more often Zephir," Diana said. "You're very handsome you know that?"

"You can borrow my Quidditch jammies Zephy, they're my favourite!" Darius suggested.

Zeph's face became serious. "I only smile when there's stuff to smile about." And he shook his head. "Nah, I'm not. And my hair isn't the right colour." He glared at a strand.

His expression cleared slightly as he looked at Darius. "You should wear them then, they're your favourite." Maybe this was sharing? Zeph wondered.

Darien was unsure what to say, and shot a glance at Diana.

"You're hair is multi-coloured..." Diana said as if realising something. "Hmm... come here."

"No Zephy, I want you to wear them, they're really cooool!" Darius explained.

Zeph paused, unwilling to step towards Diana. Usually when someone said 'come here' it meant some form of punishment. Like being locked in his room, or no dinner.

Darien ruffled Darius' hair. "Why don't you both wear them?" He finished setting up the second bed and waved his wand, cloning Darius' pajamas.

"No worry Zephir, I'm not going to hurt you." Diana said encouragingly. "I'm just going to clean your hair, you've got pen marks all over it."

"Yayyy!" Darius beamed. "We can both wear them!"

Zeph pouted. "But it looks better like this. I don't like having blonde hair."

Darien held out a pair to Darius and the other to Zeph, who accepted them cautiously. He laughed. "Aww, aren't they so cute? They match!" He cooed.

Diana went over to Zephir, "Maybe when you are older you can colour your hair permanently." She said gently. "But now, you're hair's just starting out, its still young and growing. Colouring it now isn't very good for it. Will you let me clean it?"

Darius smiled and raised his little arms up so that his father could pull his shirt over his head.

Zeph sighed. "Fine."

Darien pulled his son's shirt over his head and ruffled his hair. "You little sleepyhead."

Diana smiled, took her wand and clean it off. "There good as new." She patted his head gently.

"I'm not sleepy!" He yawned again. "Much." He hugged his father's legs. "I'm the sleepy monstar!"

Darien laughed, and tickled his son. "And I am the tickle monster!" He roared, grinning.

Zeph looked at his hair again, and pulled on the pajamas, which were significantly too small for him.

Diana couldn't sniffle a chuckle. "Here let me help you there." She charmed the jammies to be bigger but not to big, just the right size. "Is that better? Tell me if you want it looser or tighter, dear."

"No Daddy no!!!" Darius laughing and trying to get away.
